American Idol or Porn Star?
I have not watched American Idol this season. I know I am the only one in America who doesn't watch it, and am therefore unsure of new rules on the show. Do you automatically get to stay if there are photos of you on the internet servicing guys? I was aware that Antonella Barba had some risque pics out on the net and even some semi-nude, but no porn. Until today that is. IDLYITW has some alleged photos of Ms. Barba going down on a guy and I am sure that will win her even more votes from the public. (If you click, it is safe for work sorta. If you click on the sorta pics then it becomes NSFW) I know that I am a little ignorant, but didn't Frenchie get kicked off Idol for having some topless photos on the internet? I guess time have changed.
In other news, American Idol is opening a summer camp for kids. No word on whether Ms. Barba will be an instructor or just a role model for America's youth.

I have not ever watched a single episode or even 1 second of an Amer Idol show. I do have to talk about it a bit sometimes on the air, but fake it so easily by quick recaps in show prep services :), thank god for them. I actually think I'm the only person who doesn't watch ANY reality shows.

You are definately not alone. Unfortunately, I have watched about 2 episodes total, back when Fantasia was singing, I don't know what season that would have been. But I loathe the constant chatter about every show, especially since it's on 10 times a week apparently. I just wish someone besides a pop or pop/country singer would come out of it.

Frenchie posed for topless photos and was paid for them, and though she was of legal age, the website that they ended up on was for men who like young girls. That's a little different to some guy you're shagging taking photos of you.
I know a few 7 year olds who love this show and there parents buy all the albums. I'm sure the parents of these kids don't think there is a big difference. Thinking about it I only know young kids and preteens who actually care about these "Idols." I know people do things they wish they hadn't when they don't think there going to be famous, and its sad she messed up this way but she is not going to be accepted by American Idols core audience, the parents who buy the cd's for there young kids.
In wake of the recent meltdowns of young female stars, I ponder this question about American Idol with a jaded eye. Is it better to start with squeaky clean contestants and then launch them into an environment filled with sleaze, drugs and "accidental" sex tapes, or should they look to those who already have experience in these areas? Just asking.
And why is it that we've only been seeing female stars have meltdowns? What about the guys? Or do they have them and no one cares?
not only am i not a fan of idol i also have never gotten into any of the reality shows they are just not that interesting
I love watching these kids get on and sing their heart out.
