I was not planning on posting anything about Nicky Hilton being sued, because I really do not care. However, when I read the article, it made me realize just how good Elliot Mintz is as a publicist. If you ever need a publicist, this is the guy to hire. I have said it before, and I will say it again, he is the BEST. Nicky is being sued and is really looking at some serious allegations. Elliot does the proper thing and says that he and Nicky had not received a copy of the suit as of yet and so could not comment. That is PR101. Even if you have memorized the lawsuit, always say you have not seen it the first time you are asked. It buys you a few extra days. BUT, this statement is why he gets paid the big bucks.

"Things are not always as they appear," he said. "When the facts surrounding this matter are known to the public I think you will find out that the person who has been most impacted by this action will be Nicky Hilton. ... In the meantime, I don't think anybody should draw any conclusions based on the simple filing of a lawsuit."

He makes her seem like she is the one getting the shaft in this whole episode. I love that. Check out how Elliot says that Nicky is going to be the most impacted by this action. Well, it is her name on the suit. She stands to be losing money and future business and have her name dragged through the mud. So, yes she is the person most impacted. But the way he said it makes it seem like she has been used by unknown forces and she had no knowledge of anything going on in this situation.

Maybe it's just me, but I think I'm like a lot of people... I always see right through these comments by PR people.

Actually I find them kind of insulting, like they don't think I can see through that?!

It usually makes me assume guilt or worse of the client, when I might not have otherwise, if they just gave a reasonably brief but honest statement.

I LOATHE Nicky Hilton. Not only is she an ugly, uneducated nose-picker, but she is also just as racist as her filthy sister.

What is she being sued about anyway? I've seen the topic on other sites, but my lack of interest in her and her sister has made me just skip over the posts.

I can't wait for these trashy pieces of shit to go down, I love that Nikki Hilton's clothing and accessory line has been dropped by almost outlet. She's going broke, now if the STD spreading freak show of a sister would finally fall off the cliff, the world truly would be a better place.

here's a much better picture of Nicky doing what she does best.

Well said, anon #1. I completely agree with your entire post.

I respect the comments from PR people or the subjects themselves that sound like candor, and not efforts to spin, delay or double talk. The general public is not as dumb as the PR people seem to think.

FYI: People who represent celebutards are publicists, not PR professionals (who tend to be corporate types). I'm not splitting hairs there.

A publicist's job is to keep their client's name in the press, no matter what. They have one master: the client. Sadly, the truth is often the first casualty of their actions.

A credible PR person has at least three masters: the client, the media, and the public. The truth may be positioned in a certain way or "spun" a bit, but you can't blow it out of the water. Your crediblity with all three is shot if you do.

I for one would not pick that guy as a publicist, just for his use of the word "impacted" like that. He makes it sound as if Ms. Hilton accidentally consumed the lawsuit and is having an awfully hard time getting it to come out the other end.

anon1=poster #1 (seemed as easy a name as any :)

He more than earns his money for representing and babysitting the Hiltons.
I certainly agree with that.

And you've got to give it to Elliot -- he's been able to spin and quash their nasty stuff, to gain public sympathy for those whores.

Truly just curious... how so vienna mom?
