This is what's wrong about JT: if he was open about his sexual preferences he could do a lot of good for a lot of people. He's a hypocrite of the first order.
I can't stand Travolta any more although I used to love him. I'm really getting tired of these arrogant stars telling us how wonderful they are and the rest of us are destroying the planet. I have to listen to him going on about how great Scientology is and what a perfect life he has....ewwww....what's up with Kelly Preston? Why does she put up with it? They are all whacked!

It's not that he's gay or has gay preferences that matter.
It's that he's a sham in public. It would be one thing if he just didn't comment (a la Kevin Spacey), but he's carefully cultivated this image of a devoted family man. I mean, he's put a lot of work in to that. For what? Cheers from Oprah's audience?

It is definitly Travolta. My ex boyfriend and I went & stayed at the Four Seasons this past summer. Travolta was there. My ex was hanging around in a towel at the spa when you-know-who plopped right down beside him. They struck up a conversation and John asked the ex to meet up with him later, after they had finished getting their massages.

On the topic of $cientology, I read this testimonial from someone in the Popbitch newsletter today:
"I used to work in an office on Goodge Street. When I clambered onto the roof to smoke I looked straight into the recruitment offices of the Scientologist Centre. I'd sit and watch morons walk in off the street to get "audited" and towards the end of their treatment, I'd lean into the window and say something caustic. Which I thought was funny and they probably didn't. I kept up this juvenile behaviour for about a week.
"Then one Sunday, I was at home (miles out of London) and someone knocked on my window. I opened it. There were two men in suits, saying, "we thought you'd like to see how it feels'. They then proceeded to heckle and generally freak out anyone who came anywhere near the house for the next five hours, as well as reading stuff from their weird book at full volume in the street and telling my neighbours that I was a 'godless and aggressive unbeliever'."

I agree with other posters - its the duplicity that bothers me.
So what if Travolta is gay? Or even if he's bisexual...who really cares? Its not like they'll take back his money and jets if he comes out as anything other than a straight man.
And maybe he and Kelly have an arrangement - I seem to remember some BI about the wife of a fellow celeb who liked their 'I like boys more now' arrangement becuase it gave her time to shop and she had the kids to take care of.....or maybe I'm blending two together...
Either way, if they're happy, who cares?

Travolta lost me when he said that most people aren't "equipped" to handle $cientology. I really wonder if he includes Pal Oprah in this lot.
It's the arrogance of a religious zealot - who has a weird marriage, an autistic son who gets no treatment, and who trolls the steam room at the Y for hook ups. Not much different from Ted Haggard or any other religious fraud.
Oprah suffers from her relationship with this idiot...and bringing us that other fraud, "Dr." Phil.
i don't care if travolta is gay or hiding in the closet or whatever. what i do care about is how he and his wife are allegedly not getting his autistic son treatment because it's a disease scientology is supposed to be able to "cure". that is the height of self delusion and selfishness.
The most interesting thing about the austism thing is that supposedly, according to Scientology types and others, is caused by vaccinations. If Jett didn't have vaccinations, where did the autism come from?
Whatever the case, there really isn't a "cure" or "treatment" for autism. My nephew is autistic and in special ed and they basically just teach him what they can and try to help him cope with the world. He will never be "normal" but it's not like a pill will make it any different. He is who he is.
I actually think perhaps their space person or whatever they worship gave Jett the tool of being able to focus inward instead of on the messed up world he a part of, poor thing.

Indeed, Plotterist, Opes desperately needs to clean house. Between Kirstie, JT and Cruise, she's as good as mobbed up. How someone so into "enlightenment" can turn a blind eye to the sickness of $cientology is a HUGE moral liability.

Seem to remember reading something about them believing Jett's autism was due to the chemicals in rug shampoo - something like that. There have been other cases that parents believe resulted from the chicken pox(?) vaccination.

From the point of view of a massage therapist {which would be moi}, having someone ask for a happy ending is about as unpleasant as it gets during a massage and seriously makes you consider a career change. That's not an exaggeration.
And those of us in the business, especially who work at hotels, have known about Travolta for years. As the boss, it would probably be my luck to get this clown if he stayed with us.
100% John Travolta. He is banned from gyms in Toronto too for that exact reason
