Music News And Photos

Launch parties for record labels are not usually part of the menu on Music News And Photos. HOWEVER, the rules get thrown out the window when the record label is started by a reader who was one of the first five people to ever read the blog. Levity Records is now doing business in Australia and they even got their launch party photos on WireImage. Congratulations. You should have had more photos of Mel and Jade though because now I'm forced to show Andrew G and James "Jimbo" Mathison instead.

Nick Johnston - National Art School - Sydney
James "Jimbo" Mathison
Andrew G
George Michael - The Berkeley Hotel - London
Daddy Yankee - Shore Club Hotel - Miami Beach
Christina Aguilera - Shanghai Grand Stage - Shanghai
Rod Stewart - Gibson Guitar Town - London

Paul Weller - Gibson Guitar Town - London
Prince - Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel - Los Angeles
Kelly Clarkson - Good Morning America - New York
The Goo Goo Dolls - Santa Barbara Bowl - Santa Barbara, CA

Morrissey may return to Warner Brothers. It was a mistake to ever leave them in the first place.
If you're in LA or going to be here tomorrow, there is another "surprise/secret" show being put on by Paul McCartney. At Amoeba Records tomorrow, Sir Paul will be playing. You need a wristband and can pick one up at the store beginning at 1230pm. Doors open at 630pm.

If you are having problems listening to your favorite internet radio station today it could be because they are protesting the doubling of royalty rates they are supposed to begin paying on July 15.

50 Cent is about to sign a deal to be in a film with Robert DeNiro and Al Pacino. That's not bad work if you can get it.

American Idols Live tour dates.

Oh Lord, ENT. Now the Anons are going to start insisting on DNA proof that the person who started Levity Records ever read your blog.

I can't remember which it is, but if you look at all ent's fav links on the side there is a site of a girl musician (from Australia maybe??...too lazy right now to look) which is prolly who he's talking about.

What the hell is up with all this shit about fashion and music? This was supposed to be a celeb gossip site. I don't even know who most of these musicians are let alone care what they are doing, and even less about seeing random photos of them.

I think internet radio needs to pony up the bucks. Or go ahead and shut down. I quit listening to radio a few years ago. CD's only now. It made my range of music broader and I'm thankful for that. Radio is history, internet, otherwise, doesn't matter. They advertised and talked themselves to death. Are they owned by GM and Ford?

Anon 11:04 do you even know what internet radio IS? There is hardly if ANY adverts on Live 365 or talking, its all about the music my friend.

This is just another way for the fat cats to get fatter, in no way does Live 365 inhibit me from BUYING legal music, I just choose to listen to it online first rather than get gauged for a shitty cd with 1 good song.
