The New Age hippie, who friends say "mooches off other people and sleeps on their couches because she doesn't believe in money," tells anyone who will listen about her fling with the good-looking guy. She recently walked up to a Page Six pal she'd just met and said, "Oh, I'm so stressed out. I've been having an affair with [a candidate]."
Notice the say political candidate. So, in reality it could be someone running for your local City Council.

I think ent's saying its someone in NY running for city council.
I'll be surprised if it's a NYC council candidate; our mayors look like they're on the lam, and in general lower-level office seekers are skanky to some extent. City Council candidates treasure that quality in themselves. At worst, they'd want to know if their name had been spelled right in a revelation of this sort.
