Kanye West Training To Take On Naomi Next

(Hey CDANers! Jax here. Enty unfortunately was called away last minute out of town and asked me to post a bit here and there to fill the day for you all. Don’t worry, there will still be FFF. So here we go!)

Ok so I’m sure most of you have read already about Kanye West getting arrested on suspicion of assault late last night in Newcastle, UK. Well he was later released without charges and the story emerged that the photographer accusing Kanye of assault tried the same thing with a famous footballer last month. The picture associated with this particular incident on TMZ shows the photographer with a very small scrape. I’m sure it wasn’t pleasant, but hardly worthy of the original charge.

Witnesses to the altercation insist that Kanye asked the photographer several times to comply with his wishes to not be pictured. I guess at 4am not everyone wants to be caught on camera buying from a hotdog vendor.

While I would never condone violence one has to ask, does there come a time when celebrities have the right to protect their privacy by any means necessary? Or do they forgo that right as a public figure?

Woo-hoo, go Jax!!!

But will there be a blind item?

Well, here's the thing.

I'm sure if I were a "celeb"...I'd want to have some kind of private life. And I'd want to have SOME sacred part of my day that couldn't be invaded by anyone. It'd be part of my identity, part of feeling sane, keeping a hold of myself....

But I actually hate celebrities, so I say fuck 'em. Give 'em hell, and tell them they have to put up with it. They probably deserve it.

(Said with tongue firmly in cheek, people)

It's such a complicated legal issue, I think someone needs to unite the celebs and the paps to come up with some kind of line they can all agree on. Like, at least a 3 foot distance, no harassing kids, etc. Hell, even Harvey Levin has lines he won't cross, and has criticized other paps for being too aggressive. Hey, if it's not okay for TMZ, it's not okay for anyone!!!

And if you jump in front of a celeb's car, you are NOT allowed to sue when they run you over. :)

Also, bless you Jax for stepping into Enty's quadruple-wide shoes!

Thanks for filling in--but are they your FFF's or Enty's?

I'd also like to say that this post confirms what I always suspected, but Jax's blog never quite proved: You CAN use capitals! I knew it! :D

I hope everything's okay in Enty's world. When someone gets called at the last minute, it's rarely for something good.

Anyway, mooshki pretty much summed up what I would've said.

When famous people say everyone wants to be famous, I strongly disagree because I know the cost of fame. Imagine everywhere you went people recognizing you and taking your picture. Going to the doctor or just wanting to have a private dinner. Sometimes when I leave the house I just pray that I don't run into anyone I know. Some paps go to far but the famous should know what that entails. Thats why they get paid the big bucks so I don't feel too sorry for them.

I think it's interesting how some celebrities are able to have somewhat normal lives. Everyone has a right to privacy but if you want privacy you shouldn't go to the popular celeb hangouts or shoot your mouth off every time you see a microphone.

Kimi, I agree completely. Being famous would be just about my worst nightmare. :)

LOL@ Badfish. you got me there.
i have grammar apathy.

don't worry Enty is fine. FFF not mine only what i tag as mine.

like i said i don't condone violence but having a freakin camera stuffed in my face at 4am is not going to fly. especially when everyone else backs off and this photog kept going at it in an aggressive manner..

I have thought about this a lot recently and, while I think celebrities give up a lot of their privacy rights when they become famous, I cringe each time I see photogs surrounding a car with flashbulbs going off. I seriously believe this behaviour will get worse and worse until someone gets seriously injured.
On the other hand could it be possible the celebrities are letting many different sources know their schedule in order to appear more famous than they are therefore feeding the monster?

There should be some kind of guidelines. I'm not a celebrity and no I wouldn't want someone to take my picture if it made me uncomfortable.

I disagree that just because you're a celebrity "it goes with the territory".

Is Jax = Hez?

Anonymous said...

No, Jax is not Hez. Reading Hez's blog and Jax's blog makes it pretty clear who is who. Jax doesn't even have enough time to keep up on her own blog, much less write as much as Hez. The spelling, syntax, vocabulary, grammar...all different. Not to mention, Hez left here a long time ago when she got upset with EL, whereas Jax is still friends with him. And Hez only comes around to self promote on other people's blogs every once in awhile, whereas Jax participates. LOL that's probably why she has no time to blog!

Celebs are commodities. The paps are just trying to earn a living. In a public place, celebs can ask the paps to not take their pics, but if they really want to be left alone they shouldn't walk outside the door. And if a pap puts himself in a dangerous position to get a pic (i.e. jumping in front of a moving car), then he deserves what he gets.

If the celebs don't like the paps taking their picture, they need to take away the product (themselves) to prove their point.

I think some of these celebs are just looking for a fight.

I don't really care what Kanye is up to. I'm just wondering if Jax's new guest writer position is a consolation prize or a conspiracy.
