Chris Brown & Rihanna Gets More Disturbing

FOX 11 here in Los Angeles managed to get a copy of a search warrant a detective filed in the Chris Brown case. Included in the warrant were notes the detective took after interviewing Rihanna about the alleged assault. After reading it all it makes you wonder how on earth she would ever agree to take him back. This was not a one time thing. Apparently this was not the first beating and they were becoming more frequent and escalating over time.

In her statement, Rihanna says that she read a three page text on Chris Brown's phone from another woman. Whatever was in the text got her upset. I can't wait to find out if the woman who wrote the note is someone we all know. You know what would be great? If the woman was like Kim Porter. That would show Diddly Piddly. Anyway, Rihanna got upset and so Chris responded by beating Rihanna's head against the window of the car he was driving at the time. After he stopped beating her she called her assistant and told her she was on her way home and to have the police meet her there.

That set Chris off again and he threatened to kill her, saying, "You just did the stupidest thing ever. I'm going to kill you." He then said he was going to beat the s**t out of her when they got home. Apparently he couldn't wait to get home though and while driving continued to punch her which filled her mouth with blood. He then put her in a headlock and started biting her, at which point Rihanna almost lost consciousness.

But, as we know, a few phone calls and texts later and now they are back together and just full of love for each other. I'm sure he will send some great flowers to her funeral after he kills her too.

i can't even follow this story ..it just makes me so mad....and you know he won't get jail time. I think that's what infuriates me the most. He would have to kill her to be held accountable with the overcrowding of the penal system the way it is now

Goodgrief said...

Doesn't he have a court appearance today? I think Rihanna was forced in some way to take him back. He probably put his thugs on her. I have a hard time thinking she went back to him willingly. Someday he will get what's coming to him, unfortunately it may be too late for Rihanna then.

nancer said...

she's also not cooperating with prosecutors. fortunately, it won't matter. they have her statement, they have the photos, the blood in the car, etc. and i think they'll proceed without her.
none of this is surprising to me. this is the cycle and the fame and money doesn't change it one bit. it's always the same, no matter who the people are.

"fame and money doesn't change it one bit"

Couldn't disagree more. Money/Fame changes EVERYTHING. From the charges brought against someone to the punishment that is giving.

Paris, Lindsey, Nicole, Mel, Heather, the list goes on and on. Remember their sentences? Basically slaps on the wrist. The crime doesn't matter. If your famous/rich, you'll get off with basically nothing. It's been shown a bazillion times.

Read your local newspaper and compare 'nobodys' to the same crime and read their sentences. It's appaling what fame and fortune affords them.

Give me Chris Brown in a soundproof room, a heavy metal chair, a lock chain and some tools.

He'd make a pretty lil' canvas for some "tool art."

Wondering how it feels to have a mouth full of blood and being strangled until near unconsciousness would be the best he could hope for...

Him, and EVERY OTHER ABUSER OF ANY KIND OUT THERE.

I would call him a fucking animal, but animals are so above this behaviour... Jesus, i can only hope that karma will come to him.

I'm with you on the 'being scared into getting back with him' idea. She's had death threats from his fans, so it would not surprise me if his people have been 'persuading' her also.

Also apparently she only faked the call to the assistant (not that that changes anything - but it shows how scared of him she was that she didn't actually carry it out).

Plus I hope he NEVER has kids!!!!

I want to know what all the people who said "we weren't there, we don't know what happened so we can't judge" are saying now......

Though I know stuff like this happens to everyday people, this is just too disturbing to even follow anymore. Who knows why she went back to him, refuses to cooperate - maybe she's like many other women and thinks that in the end he'll change. I've known a few very smart, intelligent women who have allowed themselves to be in similar situations. It comes down to a lack of self-worth, trying to be a "fixer", etc. And who knows what kind of pressure she is getting from people who surround them both. I just don't think I can read any more about this story, especially knowing that Chris will get off easy. I'm not a violent person, but I wish someone would beat that boy within an inch of his life. What a waste.

TMZ just posted that the DA has charged him with two felonies! Hopefully justice will prevail after all.

stiffkittens said...

True Ror. And those serious words are even more poignant when they come from Stains.

Omg, this is so much worse than I had even thought. Somehow I had the idea that they were standing outside the car and he punched her in the face once. Which alone would have been unforgivable.

But THIS is just beyond belief. Especially when you start with headlocks? And BITING?? What kind of mind turns to biting when angry?

Sporky said...

Oh, but they're in LOOOOOVE...
*eyeroll*

Selena K., can I watch? Better yet, can I hand you tools or instruments of death? :)

stiffkittens said...

Have you seen his teeth figgy?! I'm surprised he didn't take out chunks...

And for those that say that this happens to 'normal people' all the time, so we shouldn't make such a fuss - first off, we usually don't get these kinds of details - at least not whilst it's happening. Secondly, celebs (whether you like them or not) don't seem as much a stranger than if they were just someone you read about getting beat up in the papers (we often know their family and pets names, it's creepy lol). And third, its so shocking because these are role models to a lot of people.

When the photos first came out I figured that there would be no way she would go back if EVERYBODY had seen what he did to her. Sadly, I was wrong.

well said StiffKittens, victims aren't any less affected because they have cash. if anything it's probably worse to get your beatdowns reported on TMZ on a daily basis.

Too bad I didn't put Rihanna in my celebrity death pool. For her being so young, I would have cleaned up point wise.

This whole thing makes me sick. Apparently, they took pictures the day after the attack and they are way more fucked up than the ones that were leaked. Many of us pointed this out when the photos were leaked that if she looked that bad immediately after the beat down, she was going to look a hundred times worse when the swelling and bruising set in.

Of course this wasn't the first time! It starts with a slap or a single punch. Next time it may be two punches and a shove into a wall. To get beat up while dude is driving, getting choked unconscious and getting your head slammed into a window ---I'd say they were probably on their 20th + beating or so. Someone in the police department needs to sit this girl down and show her crime scene photos of Nicole Brown. Seriously.

Yayz on him getting charged with 2 felonies but with all the celebrities that get off on even more serious crimes (OJ, Blake, Spector) I'm not going to hold my breath that he'll actually see a day in jail.

Depends on the state. The prosecutor can still go forward with the case.

I still think there is something wrong with her/his family.

I really have NO sympathy for Rihanna. Whatever...

Surfer, finally some good news!

Anyone who supports him after hearing this is scum of the earth.

Julie, Eve was one of the very few celebs asked about it by TMZ to be blatantly anti-Chris. I was so proud of her.

I heard they got married over the weekend and she's pregnant???

Hopefully his career will tank. If she doesn't testify against him, I am not sure what will happen, but with no career & no money, maybe he won't be so smug.
This story gets more & more disturbing with every new detail.

dd said...

haha kimmypie.. that was to me, eh?

yeah, i said it. 'don't judge, we don't know the details, we weren't there'. am i going to slink away because gosh darn he may really have done a number on her? no.. my point was for everyone and their dog to stop overreacting until something like THIS (aka search warrant from the detective) came out. crazy, but not everything you hear on the internet is legit.

either way they are both dumbasses.. him for ripping into her and her for taking him back. but whatever.. it's their life, not mine.

What I want to know if he is going to jail or just give him probation. I get the feeling he will get probation.

stiffkittens said...

I found this on Perez Hilton (i was looking for Mischa's sisters meth photos - i swear lol):

Rihanna's dad after hearing about the charges:
"I don't know how to react. Chris is a very talented guy. I still think he's a little immature for Rihanna. Justice can never be served in this situation. He can't feel the pain she felt. I don't believe in hitting a woman. I hope everything works out better for them. I don't feel happy or sad. He's in the court's hands. Let justice prevail."

What kind of ass-backwards father would say that of a man who beat the shit out of his daughter on a regular basis (and even tried to kill her, allegedly)?!!

I bet he raises his hand to her mother. It wouldn't surprise me if he's beaten Rihanna himself. Seriously, what kind of father is he???

stiffkittens said...

Forgot to add - fuel to the fire in regards to shady dealings:

"Fenty also revealed that Rihanna's family has been unable to get through to her. Some unknown person is trying to keep his daughter from keeping in touch with them, "But I can't get on to her. Her mother can't get on to her, her brother told me she changed her email. Somebody has a stranglehold on her. I'm lost.""

I wonder who...

Jungle007 said...

Huh.

I so wanna hear their statements now. Especially now that this news came out; I'm just so eager to hear what Chris and Rihanna are gonna say when they decide to break their silence.

I'm not listening to any pregnancy/marriage rumors tho...

nancer said...

fame and money don't change the cycle. rich men beat their wives and girlfriends just like poor men do. the progression of the abuse is the same no matter how much money you have. get it now?

J said...

What a stupid stupid person Chris Brown must be. He and all those other idiots who cannot manage to break the cycle of violence handed down from their families. I don't know how anyone can look up to a person who doesn't have the smarts to live their own life and instead imitate the dumb actions around them.

Leah said...

My dad was an alcoholic who beat us every chance he got. He punched us, choked us, broke bones and gave us concussions. He had a prominent press position and made a really good living, so the police never arrested him, and everyone else turned a blind eye to it.

My mom stayed because she had gotten accustomed to the lifestyle, and didn't want to lose it. (Yes, she really did tell us that. No shit.)

My brother and I suffered while we were children, then got out as soon as we could.

I have spent my adult life trying to recover from the physical and emotional scars. I hope to God that Rihanna gets away from Chris, and doesn't subject any children to what I'm sure will be life-scarring abuse.

mooshki said...

"I still think he's a little immature for Rihanna."

"Immature." Yeah, that's the word for it. *rolling eyes*

I don't agree that celebs get off easier then so called normal people. Usually when your a celeb or normal person, a first offense for things like drug possesion, driving under the influence and domestic assaults, are all treated with slaps on wrist with usually probations. I am shocked everyday by the light sentences I read in my local news for horrendous things. Rihanna is a fool. Chris Brown will continue this cycle because he has deep unresolved issues and everytime she takes him back his deep seated anger grows and she may well end of dead or seriously impaired. Surely he is resenting her right now for having two charges brought against him.

kimmypie1 said...

no DD that was not directed at you! More so to the celebs who came out and made statements.

Why would her Dad say in his statement how talented Chris is? That was so strange to me...

HannahPalindrome said...

Leah-
Your story broke my heart.

I really believe that violence has to come from somewhere. I don't think people wake up one day & decide to become violent. It must come from their own past experience. It's a vicious cycle that can be broken, but only if the person is willing to change.

I really believe that good/bad experiences can make you a stronger person.

My biggest pet peeve: parents abusing their children. It kills me. I think the only time I would consider murdering someone is if they ever touched my nephews. I don't think I would be able to control myself.

dd said...

oh gotcha kimmypie :)

NYC2008,
I agree. That's why I chose a man (my husband for almost 20 years) that didn't drink, and had no history of abuse in his family.

Yes, I survived and have not repeated the chain of abuse in my home. Sadly, I can't say the same for my brother.

It's my hope that women (or men) who are being abused will read this and leave. Please, please protect yourself and the children and leave.

I would just like to thank everybody for NOT saying judgmental things about Rihanna and "what she might have done" to provoke Chris. Jesus fucktard, that shit makes me SOOOOO angry.

I'm with a lot of you in that I don't think jack shit's gonna happen to him, though. I'm really jaded when it comes to this kind of thing. Nick Hogan, anyone? SERIOUSLY.

Lila said...

Blantly put, this is fucking nauseating. The only hope I have at this point is for the judge to actually do something! This is actually LA's opportunity to earn some respect of their legal system. If Chris gets off easy the message to the world is simply devastating!

Lila said...

Meant BLATANTLY put...sorry.

Judi said...

That's okay, Lila. I read it as "Bluntly," which works, too. :-)

shakey said...

Holy shit, Judi - that's some powerful stuff right there. Just thinking about the fear she had while all this was going on. It must have felt like it was going on forever.

Really does make one wonder why she went back.

Donna said...

This is a textbook domestic violence cycle. They are in the honeymoon phase right now, which always occurs right after a violent act. Truly. Go look up the cycle of violence on the internet. We can watch the whole thing unfold.

Unknown said...

The really sickening thing is that Chris Brown's mother was abused by boyfriend and Chris repeatedly tried to get her out of the relationship. But he also talked his mother out of pressing charges.

RiRi's father hhmmmm it almost sounds like he's trying to walk the fine line to get back into his daughter's life. She's cut off the entire family and if he disses Chris, that further estranges her from the family. They have to have contact with her in order to help her. IMO.

Anonymous said...

It's such a relief to read the comments here. I can't stomach the misogynist vitriol being directed at Rihanna on the other gossip forums. She's so vulnerable; yes, not economically, but domestic violence victims will all tell you that leaving is complicated by many things, and all the money in the world is not going to give that girl the self respect she needs to get away from this monster, to say nothing of the despicable posse that's currently "protecting" her.

Judi said...

Yeah, Shakey, isn't it horrible? This was no single blow. It went on and on. He wasn't stopping.
Amy, I think we might be a bit older than the usual gossip crowd, though I don't really know. We're certainly more mature and seem to have more life experience, and have either experienced this ourselves or are close to someone who has. This NEED for control is just so... I can't even find the right word.

Murphy Brown 2020 said...

Again -- it's really nice to come here and read comments that are wholeheartedly disapproving towards domestic violence. Or, for that matter, violence in general. I've been kinda baffled by posts in other blogs that are somewhat sympathetic towards Chris Brown and this big "misunderstanding" and his "plight" and this whole big "mistake."

Are you fucking kidding me?! I mean, I'm pretty sure a lot of you have come across sentiments like that. It makes me ill.

Stupidity abounds...

newsgrrl said...

I am so over this. If he doesn't get jail time and if she stays with him I will not support either one. I cannot imagine being beaten as described and then willingly going back with the beater.

Jungle007 said...

Thanks for the link Judi. That is seriously scary.

Poor Rhianna, (well I guess it's Robyn) I know what that feels like to be abused like that and I think a lot of other women do too.

Those that have never gone through that really don't quite understand how it feels. The whole time you're just waiting for it to end.
When the man tells you he will get help or that he loves you, you believe it. You don't want to lose your man because there were undoubtedly many reasons why you found him so appealing during all the rest of the relationship.

No one can pass judgement because even though many will look at the situation and think she is stupid to stay, she needs to realize that on her own. It's almost like a drug addict who needs to hit rock bottom.

I know- this does seem like it should be rock bottom for her, but believe me, the rock bottom comes when you decide that you really hate your abuser, that you're better without them, and that they don't love you and could even kill you.

She doesn't believe that yet, obviously, because she is still there.

Anonymous said...

Judi, yes, the comments are much more readable, and not a "first" to be seen!

I've ben there, and at 21, you still beleive in fairy tales, like he'll change. It never changes, only get's worse and she won't leave until she see's, that he can kill her. After seeing your eventual death at the hands of the person, who"loves" you, she will hopefully find the courage and self love to leave. It took me 7 years and now I have traumatic brain injury.
