Real Housewife Announces Divorce The Same Day Her Book Tour Starts
I love the coincidences in the entertainment business. Who would have thought that on the day Countess Luann de Lesseps book tour begins for "Class With The Countess," she would also reveal that she is getting a divorce from her husband Count de Lesseps. The timing is amazing.
According to the NY Post, the Countess is devastated. Not stay at home and cry with the kids devastated. I mean the book tour must go on. The husband doesn't even live in the US. He just comes over when he wants to see the kids or have sex with his wife. One day he wouldn't answer the phone when she called and he later admitted he was seeing a woman while staying in Geneva.
She doesn't say when that incident occurred or when he e-mailed her to let her know he was having an affair. But, whenever it was, the Countess made sure it was announced just in time for the book. I think this happened quite awhile ago. There have been to many sightings with Luann and other guys she has been allegedly dating.
The Countess plans to remain friends with the Count, and blah, blah, blah. Oh, and she wants you to buy her book.

As an ashamed devotee of the RHONYC, I can tell you this: Luann is the "Count's" fifth wife. And she is a famewhore. This is not surprising, but also, not surprising.

I think this marriage was over a long time ago. The timing of the announcement works out well for her because Louann writing a book on manners is like me writing a cookbook.
Explains when meeting Kelly's kids she introduced herself as Mrs.... and not Countess...
I looove that show. Even though I lose so many brain cells.
I only wish that this happened while the show was filming, so that I could hear Bethenny's pithy comments regarding the subject...

I really watch it for Bethenny and Jill, whom I love. They crack me up. Can't wait to see Bethenny kick Leatherface Kelly to the curb this week.
"Countess" is sooo pompous. I just hope she gets the alimony she deserves....heh.

mngddess, I can't wait for that either! :) I don't like Kelly at all, but I dislike Luann even more. The whole "Countess" b.s. was so annoying and pathetic to me.

Their anniversary was March 16th, IIRC from reading elsewhere, and her husband told her right after this - so it's very recent.
While I admit I need help, I know I'd only I'd only lead the group astray. Who here has promised themselves they will not tune in for Real Housewives of New Jersey (yet, you're secretly checking the TV Guide for listings)?

Did anybody check out the video of a very drunk Simon lifting Alex's dress for the paps? It's on TMZ. Only Alex could carry on talking to the press while her drunken gay husband shows off her thong.

And I admit I did have a slight increase in happinesss when I saw the ad for the New Jersey version. OC and Atlanta are dead to me, though. I so love Bethenny.
I'm so glad I've found all of you. You make me feel like it's okay to like this show. Now if only Ramona would get arrested for fraud or something, my life would be complete.

a countess named "luann", lol. that is a punchline right there to me. and the way she always talks up her title is so silly, saying how "rude" it is not to address her as "countess" because it IS her title after all. oops, not anymore. back to hillbilly-lulu.

I started with the OC women so they're still my favorites. Atlanta, no so much, but I couldn't look away. My faves change week to week with the NYC ladies, except for Alex who is consistently obnoxious, add Simon and two bratty kids to the mix and she's never getting my favorite vote. Watching those two pompous asses floating in a K-Mart plastic pool was priceless.
