Cheryl Cole Splits From Ashley Cole
Cheryl Cole made the right move today as she announced that she was splitting from her husband of three years Ashley Cole. Unlike Elin Woods, Cheryl probably realized that Ashley was going to keep f**king other women forever and that since he had a fondness for unprotected sex that she would probably catch something eventually. Oh, and the fact that he was repeatedly breaking his vows to her and has been caught prior to this probably also factored into the decision. My question to her is why did she wait so long? Did she really think that a guy who cheated on her the night they first appeared in public as a couple would ever change? Ashley Cole is putting up some tremendous numbers here. Last time I checked he was up to about 12 women he cheated on Cheryl with. Oh, and the good news is that his bosses at Chelsea are ticked off and he will probably get a huge fine for bringing the club into this mess. He won't lose his job, but a fine would be nice. Cheryl meanwhile was being "comforted by Derek Hough all night the other night. Really? Talk about a money hungry guy. When he found out Shannon Elizabeth didn't have as much money as he thought, he was gone. Well, like sister like brother.
Oh, Cheryl was here because she was house hunting. I think that means Paula Abdul isn't going to get that X Factor judge slot.

I can't say I'm surprised. It's just farcical that it's now being mentioned on news bulletins over here.
Is Derek Hough a big deal? Still think he looks like a blonde Zac Efron.

I thought Derek Hough was gay! No? Next to Shannon Doherty he has the most asymmetrical face I have ever seen. Not good.
Since I don't know or care about Dancing with the Stars, I won't even bother to comment on that guy. However, I do have a few questions:
1) Is Cheryl a huge star in the UK? Or is she akin to Jessica Simpson here?
2) How long have these two been married?
Last, but not least, I'm glad Cheryl (however long it took her) got a clue. Unlike Elin, she actually has a bit of self-pride left in there.
I hope someone will give her a sandwhich. She looks hungry.
Good for her. I think she put up with it for so long out of pride - there have been so many blinds about her drugging her pain away. Hopefully she can get her shit together without this dude.
Speaking of the Houghs, I love the way they dropped Mormonism like a hot potato the moment fame came calling. I'm sure Julianne is thanking her lucky stars that it all happened before she married her mission-returned boyfriend. hee hee
I really hope Cheryl isn't on the X factor. Outside of marriage gossip she has no name value in the US.
Paula and Simon have to reunite.

Since no one answered the question about Cheryl Cole's fame level -- in the UK she's massively famous. She was in a "girlband" for years before she married and the former Ms. Tweedy was a big name before she hooked up with the big named footballer Ashley Cole.
Her name's gotten even bigger, though, since she's been a judge for The X Factor (the original one); she was Alexandra Burke's mentor and Burke ended up winning the competition and having a best-selling debut album. She can be seen in the little bit of footage of Burke's being announced the winner; when Alexandra was so shocked she didn't seem to know what to do, Cheryl, who was holding her right hand in support, raised up her arm as if to say, "Hey girl, rejoice! You're the winner!"
Anyway, I'm glad Cheryl's dumping Ashley because she could definitely do a lot better and will once the dust has settled and the divorce is well and truly done with.
