Jamie Laiaddee's Boyfriend Held Without Bond

Have you been following the story of Jamie Laiaddee? She went missing in Arizona back in March, but because she rarely spoke to her parents, her dad did not report her missing until May28th. Yesterday, police in Arizona arrested her boyfriend but on totally unrelated charges. To me it seems pretty obvious. He says they had a fight on March 17th and that they broke up and she was taking a job in Colorado.

Umm, then how come she left her clothes, her purse, her wallet, her car keys and that her ex-boyfriend was using all of them while she was gone. Well, not the clothes. I don't think so anyway.

The police just say he is a person of interest in the disappearance. The guy had been living with Jamie using an assumed name. The police arrested him on charges of credit card fraud, theft of credit cards, probation violation, identity theft, weapons violations and an outstanding traffic warrant.

Police are still looking for any information about Jamie and where she might be. They do suspect foul play. Duh.

sounds like an open and shut case to me. especially since he probably knew she didn't talk to her parents and used that to his benefit. hope he's sentenced for a very looong time.

Maybe the people that kidnapped Jeremy London have her.

sounds like he did it, but since she has been missing for so long, and the body hasn't been found its unlikely that he will stay in custody unless they get solid evidence.

he had a lot of time to get rid of her body, so they may never find her.

this is getting to be a trend and i don't like it. if you kill somebody and can make the body go away, you're very likely to get away with it. this case should stand on good circumstantial evidence alone---there's nothing wrong with circumstantial evidence, by the way. it's quite often all you have in a murder case.

they should go to trial with what they've got, IMO. NO woman disappears without her purse, wallet, keys and credit cards. it's good enough for me.

It's pretty much always a partner or family member in these missing cases.

@Nancer, you're so right. Drew Peterson here in Chicago. Killed one wife (it had been ruled accidental drowning--in the bathtub) and the last wife has been missing for a couple of years now. But no body, so the guy's free still picking up new girlfriends.

Oh, and he's a former cop. Hence the ruling of accidental death. Imo.

yeah, i was thinking of drew peterson, actually. there have been others too. and remember van der shit's dad---'no body, no murder.'

I had thought Peterson was in jail?

Even if this girl didn't talk to her parents, didn't she have even ONE friend or co-worker who noticed she was missing?

I am SO sick of hearing of women being murdered by their husbands or boyfriends. It is an epidemic that is out of control, and I wonder what can be done to stop it, rather than just solve cases after the fact.

It sounds like this guy is the murderer. Hopefully they can solidify their case and lock him up - and hopefully find Jamie. So sad.

Remember Rear Window? What woman goes away without her handbag and wedding ring?
Yeah, this poor girl went the same way.
