Jason Batemen Says He Is Sorry - Donald Glover Wanted To Cut Too

How much has this week sucked for Jason Bateman? Hmm, well actually probably not too bad. He is a multi-millionaire, married to a beautiful women, has healthy children, a pretty cool sister, starring in a couple of movies this year, just launched a brand new company so the fact that he cut the line is probably not weighing too much on him right now.

That being said, he did apologize yesterday. On his Twitter he said, "Correction- If there were boos, I didn't hear them. If some were mad, I didn't see them. I wish I had. If you're out there, I'm sorry."

Apology accepted. I think I said it on the first day. The guy did wait in line. He showed up at 445am. The first person had shown up around 330am so by the time 10am rolled around Jason had been in line for 5 hours. It isn't like he sent an assistant to go stand in line or called Apple and begged for a phone. He did put in some time.I think the best part about this whole story is that Donald Glover, who is on Community, admitted that after he saw Jason cut the line that Donald tried to cut the line too and did a "don't you know who I am," but was denied. Blow to the ego there Donald. Donald did write one of my favorite episodes of 30 Rock though so he gets to have his picture in the post too.

5 hours in line? Holy Crap. Boys and their toys.

The only time I waited in line overnight was to get into my first choice classes at uni.

I bet its the Liz Lemon sleep-eating episode.

I would have skipped the line, too, but they dont do anything special for bartenders. Maybe I see naked breasts.

I can't believe we are still talking about this.

I said it before and I'll say it again - normal people with Apple store employee connections got to cut in line, too. Even normal people get to take advantage of connections - this story needs to die as it's a non-issue. People are acting (though not on this site) like they JUST realized celebrities sometimes get special treatment and life isn't 100% fair all the time. Duh!

Kind of funny about Donald, but I love Community & his character.

Boys and their toys, Princess? I happen to know a lot of women were in that line too.

LMAO Princess.

Confession time: I once slept outside in a snowstorm for New Kids on the Block tickets. Not one of my finer moments.

it's just so stupid that he has to apologize in the first place. as if any one of those people (or any of us) wouldn't have done the same? please. have your bitter pity party and let him enjoy his new toy.

i did stand in line for about 5 hours once for a badass sale at a coach outlet. it was boring for the most part, but still totally worth it. and yes, i'd have cut that line in a heartbeat if given the chance!!

@chopchop nkotb is always worth a snowstorm imo :)

@bad fish: Yes, that was horribly sexist of me. I do realize that women and girls love their gadgets too.

@chopchop: That actually sounds like it would have been fun.

I have no sympathy for anyone stupid enough to stand in line for so many hours to get an iPhone rather than just waiting for a few days.

I slept over night to get front row seats at a general admission show for Moist and I Mother Earth.

Only Canadians would know my shame.

This was long ago, before the days of the presale. In my defense, I was only 13 or 14 years old. In fact, I'm pretty sure it's the rabid NKOTB fans camping outside the mall/theater/Piggly Wiggly Ticketmaster outlet that forced the creation of the pre-sale and stupid lottery they have now. They frown upon people showing up even a few hours early these days. Pshaw, that was half the fun!

@*girl - I understand completely, based on how hot David Usher and Edwin are :) I bought Edwin's solo album, he is so hot!

Donald Glover... I <3 community, and I fell in love with him after his hysterical tweetvids the day of the launch "is there a shorter line?" bahahaha

i want to run away with him and play with his iPhone4.

Why can't we pick on the "DYKWIA?" asses who pull this crap every single day without putting in a second's worth of personal effort instead of one of the most likable stars who didn't even ask for special treatment in the first place? To quote a different Bluth-"COME ON!"

i LOVE that jason stood in line, and that he's an apple guy. personally, i'm about to use DD's failing phone as an excuse to get the 4g. i love my iphone, my macs, my ipods, i guess it's just something you have to be a part of.
i feel bad for jason, & understand how he feels defensive. love him.
and i feel kind of stupid that i have no idea who donald glover is. related to danny?

I am in that same boat, I too went to the triple billing tour of Mudgirl, I mother Earth and Moist. I have probably have seen David Usher live at least 8 times and he always gives an excellent show. Plus he is my facebook friend, lol, I almost chickened out going to talk to him when he hung out after a concert in Edmonton.
