Tiffany vs Debbie Gibson
Back in the 80's, it seemed there were two groups of people. Those who were on Team Tiffany and those who were on Team Debbie Gibson. I always found myself on Team Tiffany. The fact she became my friend later has probably only reinforced that opinion. Anyway, Syfy, which is the dumbest name ever for a channel has cast them in a movie where they will finally get to settle the score. Lots of people ask me why Syfy changed their name. Most people assumed it had something to do with the fact they wanted to dumb down the name SciFi and move away from traditional SciFi. The truth is it is about money. You can't trademark SciFi, but you sure can trademark Syfy. Anyway, the movie is going to be called Python vs Gatoroid. The two singers won't be the stars of the movie, but they will get to have a fight out in the parking lot of a bar. Instead of punches though I think they should have to sing their hits in some kind of weird dance off.
I think the fight starts because Tiffany calls Debbie, Debbie instead of Deborah. She hates that.

I think we're alone now was my first favorite song. I played it over and over again and even choreographed a dance to it. I was a fan of Debbie, but when I saw DEBORAH play Beauty on Broadway's Beauty and the Beast I became a FAN!

that said tho...how awful...how far have these 2 fallen that they choose to do low budget tv? it can't possibly do any good other than keep them out of foreclosure for a few months...altho maybe that's the idea? :(

Debbie all the way but no hate for Tiffany. Syfy movies are horrific and they are all exactly the same. Killer mutant animal plus z-list former celeb.
Deborah was a substitute co-host on a radio station here a while ago and she was really smart and funny.
I could care less for either of these two...however I am a Deb and I much prefer Deborah over Debbie which I think is extremely childish. Just sayin'.
Team Tiffany - I really really hated "Electric Youth".
I hated them both. I was into Stevie Nicks when they were popular.
Oh, and I still adore Stevie :)
I wasn't really a fan of either of them, but I would have to say that I would go with Team Debbie (or Deborah - whatever) only because she had many more hits than Tiffany and she actually wrote and played most of her music. Plus Deborah is doing Broadway now right? She seems to have the longer career.

"I Think We're Alone Now" was also one of my first favorite songs but I'm definitely Team Debbie-Deborah. I had all her albums. I had her "Electric Youth" perfume. I thought she was super cool. And I always wanted to slow dance with my crush to "Lost in Your Eyes" :)
