Chris Brown Used Eye Drops At BET Awards

US Weekly has a report today that a witness saw Chris Brown's bodyguard handing him eye drops and that he put them in his eyes just prior to going on stage. This would seem to support what singer Lloyd had earlier said. Lloyd came out the day after the show and said he had told Chris his only hope was to go out and cry during his performance.

All I am hoping is the people of the world are smart enough to figure out this crying was all a con job and that Chris is still the same a-hole he has been. I also hope that he meets a woman who decides to kick his ass. Lisbeth Salander anyone?

While everyone is deserving of a 2nd chance, if the lil fucker acted remorseful, took a couple of anger management courses, volunteered at a battered women shelter, I would go back to liking him. Instead he went on a PR tour trying to revamp his image and bitch about how no one is giving him a 2nd chance. Supposedly he witnessed his mom getting beat so it was a likelihood he would emulate said behavior especially when provoked.

But dammit be a lil remorseful. It would have went a longer way than crying on stage at the BET awards.

A commenter on DListed also said that if Jennifer Hudson could hold back her tears at her Grammy performance after 1/3 of her family were brutally murdered this lil fucker could have done the same at the BET awards.

I'm not surprised. He's a disgrace of a man and I do hope someone gives him the same kind of beating he gave Rihanna.

The word Douche really describes Chris to a T doesn't it?

I knew it all along! I was watching the awards & as soon as he started I thought "this looks staged...something's not right". I still think that's the true deal.

I didn't watch the footage until today. Worse than a soap opera.

It's a shame too because he's obviously a talented dancer and decent enough singer. Unfortunately he also seems to be and unrepentant, violent superdouche.

What a waste.

Abusive men are all about their THINKING. It has nothing to do with anger. There are men who get angry, but do not abuse women and kids.

This book explains it well. It is worth the purchase! Or library checkout.

"Why does he do that? Inside the minds of angry and controlling men"
http://www.amazon.com/Why-Does-He-That-Controlling/dp/0425191656

He can change, but many abusers don't because it takes ALOT of work. And many do not WANT to do it.

The people of the world are very flexible in the way they view people in the public eye.

The more I learn about "celebrities" the more I find that the esteem in which they are held by the public at large and the amount of adulation and reverence they get has very little correlation with the kind of person they are in real life.

Some people experience a serious backlash after something minor, others are still applauded after something heinous.

As for Chris Brown, never in my life have I even heard a song of his, I have no interest in doing so, and find him thoroughly unappealing.

I also think that, had those infamous events not been made public and had not been such a sustained uproar about it in the media, that Rihanna would have been the first person to "forgive" him and would still be with him.

It's PR moves all around.

The world could use a few more Lisbeth Salanders.

Raise your hand if you are surprised...That's what I thought.

I don't think people are smart enough to figure out the crying was a con job. Earlier this week I overheard three women talking about Chris Brown's crying and they were saying they thought he was innocent and that Rihanna must have provoked him to hit her. I could not effing believe it.

@The Missus: that is downright scary!

he should've taken some acting lessons too because tears or not, i thought it was very obvious the whole thing was fake.

Can you imagine a friend telling you to cry and then reporting it to the press?

Lloyd should have kept his mouth shut!

Ok, I had to google the story.

According to Lloyd, Chris Brown’s performance was authentic. Check out his statement clarifying his own comments:

I consider Chris a friend. He's been through a lot in the past couple years. I never told him to go on stage and cry. We spoke recently, and I told him as a friend that people hadn't really seen him be vulnerable about his situation last year [with Rihanna]. I thought he was holding back and needed to let that emotion out. Him crying at the BET Awards was real, I could feel it.

I think he cried about a number of things. About the fact that he thought people would hate him forever because of one mistake. Feeling that love on stage was probably overwhelming. Plus MJ being gone and him performing "Man in the Mirror", that song is powerful, especially for his situation. It pushed him over the edge.

To say that he was faking or that I'm hating on him, that's some bull shit. Last week Essence.com asked me what artist most embodied MJ. I told them it was Chris. I never saw MJ perform live, but he [Chris Brown] is the closest thing I've witnessed. Chris is back, and I'm just as excited as his fans are. It's just frustrating that people want to make everything negative.

So according to Nosey, Lloyd is a part of the Chris Brown support group.

Of course Chris was crying about his demise and of course it had nothing to do with him missing MJ.

Will his fans believe him? Of course, that's why they're HIS FANS.

This makes me so sad. What a world we live in. Can we get some kindness in the blinds today?

I knew it was all fake. He needs to be popular again and what better way by making believe that he has feelings. The guy is a joke. If people are stupid to believe his acting than they are as stupid as he is.

So whether he put in eye drops or not, he used a tribute to Michael Jackson to try and garner some sympathy for himself. He made it all about HIM. He's been making it all about him since he beat the crap out of Rhianna, and most people are onto him. I wish he would fade away quickly.

Love the Lisbeth Salander reference! Cannot put those books down.

i totally agree with borg queen. a little sincerity can go a long way and audiences can be forgiving if you can prove that you're actually sorry and are really working to ensure that behavior will not be repeated.

his constant woe is me act only tells me that he hasn't learned a thing except a) don't date someone famous and b) don't hit a woman in the face.
