Elin Nordegren Set To Get Almost 1 Billion Dollars
According to The Sun, Elin Nordegren is set to take home $750M as a result of Tiger Woods cheating and their divorce. Fox News says there are conditions to the settlement. The one which I doubt the most is that Tiger is not allowed to have any single women be near the children until he marries them. I don't know how you can ever enforce that. The report also says that Elin has to keep her mouth shut forever about her relationship with Tiger and can never say anything about what caused the divorce or make any public comments even if Tiger says something first.
So, this means Tiger can go out and say that Elin had sex with rabid dogs but she cannot say anything? I doubt that is in there. I think they probably both have to agree to be quiet. Since this is probably not a lump sum there are probably incentives for both of them to keep quiet. Elin is going to have sole physical custody of the kids but Tiger can see them up to half of every week. That is not going to happen. First of all he is too busy if they are living in Sweden. Second of all, what happens when they go to school?
If we assume that Tiger had affairs with 25 women over the course of the marriage that would equate to each woman being worth about $30M to Elin. That is some expensive sex.

Interesting. The idea of him having to keep his kids away from anyone he decides to start a new relationship with does not sound plausible at all. There is no way you can stop that from happening.
I could handle getting an STD for that kind of money. But it makes you wonder how much money he actually has, if he's willingly paying her that much in the divorce settlement.
I just can't wrap my mind around that kind of money. I'm thrilled that my savings account finally hit ten grand.

She has full physical custody but she is not allowed to relocate the children to Sweden according to one report I read. They have joint legal custody so he has a say in their upbringing. I'm not a lawyer; that's just what I've read.
Actually, given the women he has been running around with, I absolutely believe that part. He does not have much discretion. Do you want your kids being around the likes of porn stars, Uchitel, that vile Jamie blonde one who came out first? No way.

I have to almost agree with the part about the kids not meeting his women unless he marries them. Remember Jon Gosselin dragging all his hos around the kids and how incensed everyone was? Too many kids wake up to find a different uncle at the breakfast table every morning. I think people SHOULD keep their romantic lives away from their kids until the situation is serious.

Am I missing something? Enty's title says that Elin's getting 1billion but the article mentions that she's getting 750 million just like everyone else is stating. Tiger has never been on Forbes billionaire list and now his wife is getting somewhere between 750mil and 1billion dollars in a divorce settlement.
The real question is how much is Tiger worth and how much is Elin really getting?
she's for sure not getting that much. but will she ever have to hit a lick the rest of her life? no. but she hasn't had to since she married him either.
I read that he is worth 600 million dollars and she will get a little more than what the prenup said, the actual figure has not been released. The kids are obviously a priority with her and Tiger should be thankful for that!
I read something awhile back that he'll get close to $1 billion just from his PGA pension (based on earnings & some other stuff). It's not unusual for a spouse to get a piece of the other's retirement plan that covers those future earnings made during the marriage.
OMG! It's amazing how much money athletes get! Teachers/scientists and schools can't get more money. Maybe I'm just bitter today but I find this absurd.

And also - I SO WISH I could impose the dating/marriage restriction on my daughter's father. He hasn't mentioned anyone or brought anyone around her yet (our daughter is almost 7), but I am sure soon enough...it does worry me. But at least I can be comforted that he has infinitely better taste than Mr. Woods...man, Tiger picks some hoes.
i fail to see how hitting a ball with a stick warrants such a ridiculous salary and benefits, or how being cheated on means you can become a "billionaire" either.
yes, she was humiliated, yes he's pondscum. but he's only a man and you can't tell me you didn't think that'd happen at some point given the circumstances. $50mil? sure. $750mil? unnecessary. ladies, keep your eyes open, fellas keep your dicks dry!
