Isn't Kelly Osbourne Supposed To Be Sober?
For some reason I thought that all those trips to rehab for Kelly Osbourne were to get her sober. I could be wrong. Maybe it was just for pills or drugs or something and she is allowed to drink. Am I wrong? Does anyone remember something different? The reason I ask is that Kelly went to Vegas last night. She looked fabulous and amazing but she and her friends all drank lemon drop shots while at Haze nightclub. Now, unless I am mistaken, lemon drop shots are not something you get on the Willy Wonka Tour, but do contain booze.
Kelly has had one of the most dramatic transformations I have seen of someone in a year and I would hate to see it all go away. Maybe she does drink as part of her recovery. If so, then great. Otherwise, I hope that she stays strong and realizes that today is another day to start again.

Pretty sure it was for drugs only.
I think she went to rehab for drugs. I won't begrudge her going out with friends and having fun. She just broke up with her boyfriend so she may have just wanted to go out with friends and not think about it. I hope she is able to keep clean because I know it is a VERY HARD thing to do. She has been doing great and I believe she will continue to do so.
if she has an addictive personality, she needs to leave booze and drugs alone. here's hoping that she will be okay.

some people can handle it,some can't. everyone is different.
my brother was a heroin junkie for years and hardly drank a few beers here and there.

Generally speaking, most addicts should stay away from alcohol. But some people make it. I've known coke and meth addicts who can handle the occasional beer or glass of wine.
Sometimes, making a big production of "I can't drink" in a social situation makes the addict feel alienated and shut out, and those feelings of isolation and difference can be triggers for their narcissistic vulnerability. I'm just saying. Every addict is different, and if she doesn't fall into drug abuse again, we'll know she's on the right course.
Rehab was for pills.
i love the way she's managed to sober up...she looks wonderful and seems to be making good decisions...i hope she doesn't slip back into addiction. she deserves a break. it can't be easy having grown up in that family.
I've often wondered the same thing about Drew Barrymore.
Has it been confirmed if her fiance cheated on her with a guy or girl. I totally took Luke for being a gay and was with Kelly for the fame bump and her daddy's money. And did boy ass on the side.
She seemed so in love with him the girl deserves some fun after being publicly humilated.

There are various approaches to rehab - the majority advocate abstaining from all mind-influencing drugs (12 Step), but there are some very popular and successful rehab centres that don't necessarily take that approach - there's one in Edmonton who's name I can't remember, but I know someone who went there and had great success. The whole 12-step thing just doesn't work for everyone.
kevin smith talks about one of jason mewes' early attempts at rehab in one of his books-- some hippy dippy joint (i paraphrase) where they got him off the drugs, but told the patients booze was just fine.
in his case, it did NOT work.
i THINK it was "silent bob speaks" but not sure. jason really put kevin through a lot of shit.
kelly should do well, i'm so impressed with her! her stints on "dr" phil have almost made his show watchable!
I'm pretty sure that the rehab was for drugs and I'm also pretty sure that Ozzy drinks alcohol socially now as well. I also know someone who went into rehab for MAJOR coke addiction but she drinks wine occasionally as well. From what I understand, the addiction is not necessarily the result of an addictive personality but the assocations with that substance. I can well imagine Kelly O can drink in the same way most people do.
Also, I think she is a little bit my role model: as Enty says, her transformation has been spectacular.
i've never heard of a program condoning drinking after any substance issues, but i don't see a problem with it. that's probably why i didn't stick with 12 step myself.
to each their own. some people have to go completely sober, some people can handle drinks here and there. she looks healthy and in great spirits despite her recent humiliation, so i'ma give the girl a pass. and she looks fierce! love the hair!
