Joss Stone... a few years ago she was, the hottest singing commodity (at least over here). You couldn't get away from her songs, they were being played everywhere.
Then she got a bit of a backlas for coming back here speaking with an americanized accent, and that producer posting a video on Youtube saying she was screwing multiple producers for tracks, and she sort of fell of the radar.
I do think, of all the overpromoted, hyped-up female artists that were and are out there, she still is the one with the best voice and interpretive talent.

jimmy's gulf shore concert (postponed by a week) was one of the best shows he's done in a long time! the band was having a blast, the crowd was humongous, and it wasn't just the usual crowd of parrot heads!
and believe me, i've seen more than my share of concerts.

I <3 Jimmy Buffett. Listened to the simulcast on Radio Margaritaville, sounded great! He can & will do a lot to help the gulf. Unlike some celebs, he remembers where he came from and who helped him to the top.
The KFed gain is so surprising to me since he was a pro dancer. He honestly doesn't seem like a terrible person.
I feel bad for everyone saying that Jessica's guy is married, they've been separated since the beginning of the year, they may just not have signed final papers. NBD.

I'm sad, too, about K-Fed. I watched Celebrity Fit Camp and wasn't prepared to like the guy. He's grown up a lot, I think. And I thought he would be the one to keep up the fitness trek. Well, sometimes it takes more time. It's taken me decades!!!!

it's a shame you didn't see the show-- a lot of folks on here know that i used to be the ticket procurer for the national parrot head org. like i say, i've been to a LOT of concerts, but have missed the past few years due to chronic pain problems, and i've missed it.
but i haven't seem jimmy, robert, (michael wasn't on film much), EVERYONE on stage, looking so honestly happy, having so much fun. no props, just a couple of guests and solid music, new and old. and very little of the usual stupidity in the crowd.
hopefully it will be released on DVD, sales would be a great way to raise more money. my mom wasn't able to get it on dish network.
i also feel sorry for k-fed. i hated his guts when he was married to brit, but know that we know about her mental health issues, i have to give him a lot more credit for hanging in as long as he did.

I never saw celebrity fit club, and have no opinion of K-Fed one way or the other, but I have always thought that the kids look happier in pictures taken when they are out with him than when they are with Britney. Plus, keeping weight off is very hard. I'm not going to bust on anyone for struggling with that.
Poor K-Fed. I keep thinking if he'd just take a dancing job instead of a reality show job, he might be better able to keep the weight off, no?
Loved loved loved the Buffett show last night. I would have given my right arm to be there, but couldn't work it out. bionic bunny, I didn't know that, so color me appropriately envious and impressed! That's quite a role to have managed! I moved cross-country this year and it put me between legs of the current tour, so I am scrambling to figure out which show I can make it to. I've only missed going to at least 1 show in 2 years of the last 22. Had I attended last night's though, I may have said that's it, because nothing could top it, not even the times I've been lucky enough to catch small Key West shows. The new lyrics to Coast is Clear had me crying like a fool. The Reefers did look happy and loose, the guests were fantastic...everyone was having fun. And all the reports I've read said that all weekend the bars and hotels were jam packed and business was booming, so. Mission accomplished! Good on ya, Jimmy!
In case anyone didn't watch and might decide they want to, CMT will be replaying it a couple of times this week, and I believe Radio Margaritaville will have an audio replay this weekend.
that's really a shame about kfed- he seemed serious and committed to losing the weight. it's gotta be traumatic working that hard to lose the weight, just to put it back on.

Check out Harry Dean Stanton. He's coming out of MOCA? And a show of Dennis Hopper's art, including an early painting from 1955; photographs, sculpture, and assemblages from the 1960s; paintings from the 1980s and '90s; graffiti-inspired wall constructions and large-scale billboard paintings from the 2000s; his most recent sculptures; and film installations. I would LOVE to see that!

don't be envious... it was 12 hours a day on the phone, 100 tix per venue, jimmy wasn't really recognizing us yet, i never even got to meet the man!
there was a certain amount of glory, once we'd get to meeting of the minds in NOLA (yeah, that's where we used to have it), but some people got involved, it got crazy, folks forgot what we were all about (charitable social organization, not a boozy fan club. well, not all the time, anyway).
i miss the good people, the music, all that, but i DON'T miss being the ticket bitch!!
