Nicole Richie Has A Few Words For X17
X17 recently posted some video on their site which shows them hanging out at Nicole Richie's daughter's school. Nicole took exception to that because, well, she is a mom and there were strange guys stalking her daughter while Nicole was not there. So, she took to her website and wrote this little missive.
Dear X17,
THANK YOU so much for posting the video of your employees sitting outside of my daughter’s school, because now the entire world can see how creepy and disgusting you are.
You do not get to spend 200 dollars on a camera, and think that gives you a free pass to shadow my child. These are strangers, grown men, stalking young children. You think that’s ok?
Here’s a better visual: Pulling up to school and seeing grown men slouched in black windowed cars outside of a preschool, all day. I’m not even there, so you cannot say you are following me as you always do. You are stalking the children. Now how do you feel?
I PROMISE YOU that I am going to do a background check on each and every person that I see there. For the safety of my children and others. Because the last time I did a check on your staff, I found they had no license. Remember that day? The day that ended with a car accident and me in a hospital? You, x17, better be pretty confident in your actions, and feel really good about what you are doing. If I find out anyone has a suspended, restricted or invalid license, I will have them thrown in jail before they can pick up the phone and call their lawyers.
YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES. These are young children and you should know better. X17, you are irresponsible and repulsive. Consider this a warning.

You can definitely feel the anger and I would feel the same if someone was stalking someone I love. I don't know how she is going to do a background check on everyone but she can certainly make their lives miserable by calling the police everytime she sees them. Here is the thing. How much is a Nicole Richie picture even worth? You want to sit around all day waiting for her to come to pick up her kid for $100? It is like the cab driver who waits in line for hours at the airport or a hotel and gets one or two fares a day.

Admittedly, that behavior is disgusting - and the child is an innocent victim. But I have a really hard time feeling sorry for Nicole Richie, who spent the majority of her 20s doing anything and everything she could to get these same paps to follow her and splash her face all over magazines. Isn't she only famous for being a tabloid sensation? Be careful what you wish for.
Ya know...I like her more and more each day...can't believe she used to be BFF's with Paris...you've come a long way, Nicole. Keep it up!

Who's to say all those paps are upstanding? There may be some pervs in there and ALL those kids at the school could be at risk. There could be a pedo shopping for his next victim. Not neccessarily Nicole's kid.
We all wish that the Lohans, Hiltons, and anyone else who behaves irresponsibly grow up and behave like adults. Well it looks like Nicole has done that and I'm proud of her.
There are way too many pervs out there to ignore this behavior.

Nicely said Nicole. I have to agree that stalking out her kids pre-school is definitely creepy and should be OFF LIMITS.
I don't think it matters if Nicole herself used to be famous for being a tabloid sensation- the issue as she pointed out is that the paps are stalking and photographing young children. Imagine if you dropped your kids off at daycare or school and everyday there were dozens of complete strangers taking pictures of them? Screw that. She's right to be pissed and to want to protect her children.
I agree that this crosses the line.
Schools have such strict policies about media printing photos of children. Usually, parental permission must be granted. I'm quite shocked that paps are even permitted on the school's campus. School officials should call the police as soon as random photogs are on the premise, IMO.
Willow is one of my fave celeb kids. Obviously, Nicole is one pissed off Momma and I can't fault her for that.
Well, she certainly knows a thing or two about jail. Sorry - I go back and forth on Richie. I think she's a good mom and businessperson, but it wasn't that long ago she DID court the paps and she DID risk other lives by driving under the influence the wrong way down a highway.
And also, I can't ever forget that invite to her party where it straight up said fat people weren't welcome. She's got a mean streak.
Well, if the Mom courts the paps, and the kids are with her when she gets photographed, then that's her problem and she has no right to complain. But when the paps are sitting at a private daycare with the parents nowhere in sight, that's a whole other issue.

Rocket, no one is as good as they think they are. I know that I am a person who "strives" to be kind and good, but even I fall short.
Whether or not someone courts the attendtion of paps, it's not fair to stalk a school for photos of their children. Her toddler had no say in the matter, and it's flat out creepy.

It's gross what they're doing but not only can she not make it stick, she can nailed for harassment herself. The press always will go with the Free Speech argument, and if they're a certain number of feet away from the school they're legit. And I know it's unfair but I can't get really behind her anger when teh only reason anyone knows her name is because of the paps who she whored everything about her life out to for years. But sure -- I don't even know why the paps would play with fire with anything having to do with kids.
Yeah, she was a wild child - but for how long should she keep paying for that? And should her children have to?

I think Harlow is the cutest celebrity kid of all of 'em and I don't even like children. Wasn't a big Nicole Richie fan but she grows on me more and more as she gets older. I respect her for this. Keep it up Nicole!

Agree with what most of you said. Stalking the kiddos should be a no-no. I thought what she wrote was extremely well written & I hope she does follow up on her threats!

While it might be annoying to the other parents, the other kids probably don't give a shit. And I've never seen a photo of her little mole baby that didn't include Nicole in it, so I'm skeptical that there are swarms of paps awaiting the chance of this kid.
Nicole is media savvy. She knows that people will support her silly rant (probably written by a staff member), since the subject of children always brings out hysteria. I reckon Nicole is just courting attention in a different way.
