Elderly White Man Becomes 20 Year Old Asian On Flight

Well, this is certainly a fine example of great airport security. An Asian man in his 20's boarded a flight in Hong Kong as an elderly white man. During the flight, he went to the bathroom and emerged as a 20 something Asian guy.

When leaving Hong Kong, the man apparently had a very sophisticated latex and silicone disguise that made him look elderly. At some point during the flight to Vancouver he changed. Oh, he also managed to get on the Air Canada flight without a ticket. He somehow managed to obtain the boarding pass of another man on the flight and that man used different identification to get on the plane. At some point, someone caught on and the Asian was escorted off the plane by Canadian border officials who said the Asian then requested refugee status.

Perhaps a Hollywood star whacker? Watch out Randy Quaid.

No biggie. When I processed refugees at Vancouver Int'l Airport, they had all used fake identification to board the plane, and before arriving, the fake passports/disguises had all been flushed down the plane toilet to protect the snakeheads/smugglers. The passports sell for about $30,000 (mostly stolen/altered), so I guess in this case, all they could give this guy was a passport of a guy who looked like this. In most cases, we couldn't even pinpoint which flight they'd come in on.

Canada needs to change their immigration policy. I don't care if people come here, but there is a way to do it, and a way not to do it. This is not the way.

Maybe it's worth it. As an immigrant to Canada (albeit not as a refugee), I can tell you that the CIC sure do take their sweet time. Clearly, this is how I should have gone about it. I'm a refugee. From Sweden. I am being persecuted for my belief that ketchup does NOT go well with everything.

Excellent! This is how I will get a passport with my age altered to at least 15 years younger!! Canada, ah yes. That's the ticket!

Ok.

I have a confession to make to everyone.

There is no Christina Hendricks. It's all smoke & mirrors, people. That's actually me...with a lot of make-up & prosthetics.

That kid...he's part of my make-up crew...and he's the slacker of the group.

People - there is big money in the transport of refugees overseas. What is happening in Canada with Chinese refugees (west coast) is no different from the illegal Mexican immigration in the U.S. We have two types of refugees, Convention (accepted before they arrive) and what we call "queue jumpers" - like this one. In the vast majority of Chinese cases, the refugees have arranged onward transportation to NY city, which is their preferred destination, and where they will be put to work to pay off their travel costs. Having done this for a few years, I know we need the immigrants that choose to stay, I no longer begrudge anyone who wants a better life, though the constant lying that they're trained to do often got tiring.

He also appears to have had his eyebrows delicately tweezed or threaded during the experience. Perhaps he found a Punjabi beauty salon concealed in the bowels of the airplane?

RocketQueen, was it you that said you work border patrol in Canada, and you had to deny Bam Margera access because he attempted to buy breast implants for his girlfriend with his wife's health insurance or something?

i vaguely remember that story.

but this is interesting to hear about Chinese immigration. I'd never heard about it before.

^I'd never heard about that before either.

I rarely ever fly (kinda fearful) but the last time I did, I went through security with my best friend's boarding pass (the ticket lady gave us the wrong ones back) and she with mine. The lady checking my friend's didn't even LOOK.

I know these people don't get paid much but it sure as hell doesn't make me less scared to fly, when things like this happen.

@Maja. With a J.

I'm laughing with you. My grandfather, 100% Swedish, used to put ketchup on everything including his morning corn flakes.

@Julie - yes, that was me. It was actually a director (no one famous, at least not then), and I didn't *have* to deny him entry, but I chose to because he was a jerk and he had a record so I could. The time I worked there taught me to always be respectful of the guards because if you're not, they'll find a way to screw you if they can.
The girlfriend the director was coming in to see was Sherilyn Fenn and did she ever give me an earful over the phone about why I was turning her boyfriend back! :)
