Anne Hathaway, PS-22 & The Oscars

Anne Hathaway showed up at PS-22 in New York City yesterday while the school chorus was in the middle of their annual holiday performance. Not only did Anne's appearance surprise the kids, they also found out they will be performing at the Academy Awards. It could not happen to a better bunch of kids. Take some time today and look through their YouTube videos. Great!

I went back and forth between tearing up at the kids so overwhelmed and then laughing at the kids who were all "who is this lady and why are we screaming"?

And the poor boy who had to leave because the little boy next to him practically ruptured his ear drums from his high pitched screetch.

So sweet. I love this teacher. He is inspiring--even for those of us who aren't teachers.

This is amazing! The kids and the director all really deserve this - I am so thrilled for them! As a lifelong chorus nerd, I'm excited they are getting this kind of attention. I have a feeling I will cry when I watch the show..*L*
