Johnny Depp Emasculated Over Losing Sexiest Man Alive Title
Johnny Depp revealed to MTV News just how sad he is that he has lost the sexiest man alive title to Ryan Reynolds. "I feel emasculated," joked Depp. "I feel I've been beaten down like some horrible... you know, like some pathetic harp seal. But, I mean, that's how it goes, isn't it? I think I can work my way forward, but will I try for it again? No!... I worked so hard to gain that title."
A beaten harp seal? That might be a bit over the top. Obviously he is joking, but I do wonder if there is still not a sense of loss when you lose an award like that even if it is just all about who kissed the most PR butt during the year. I will let you choose. Johnny Depp or Ryan Reynolds?

Ryan is a pretty young thing but Johnny Depp doesn't just have good looks...he also has depth of character too...I leave you to figure out what sort of character.

Maybe its because I am 52 years old, but Ryan Reynolds just doesn't do it for me in the "sexiest man alive" department. Depp does, but I am more a manlier man type -- like Clooney or Hamm.
Also, just heard that Elizabeth Edwards passed away. Very sad for her children and her family. RIP.

Ryan plays the same goofy, incredibly annoying character since he was in that sitcom with the other guy and the blonde who became Monk's assistant. He also looks a bit 'special' in the face.
He can't hold a candle to the hottness and talent that is Johnny Depp.

Ryan looks good without his shirt, but he needs a few more years on his face before he does it for me. Now Johnny--he just keeps getting better and better--and has won me over even more with his subtle but oh so sarcastic sense of humor.

I don't like Ryan Reynolds. He dumped Alanis rather cruelly. That's not the reason, actually. I just don't like him - he seems like he'd be an ass.
Johnny Depp is much sexier than Reynolds. Oddly, I was never into him when he was so huge during '21 Jumpstreet'. I think it was Ed Wood and some other oddball movies that made me fall in love with him.

Word is that on The Tourist, he made sure to keep away from homewrecker Angie to make sure his home wasn't wrecked, or that there was any gossip that went that way. I think he has a lot of respect for people.
He is obviously misguided when it comes to Roman P, and if he thought about his daughter in that situation, and I'm sure he would change his attitude. Overall, I think Johhny's a stand-up guy.

Depp. No contest. There was a picture of him one time on the bow of his boat in the Caribbean - shirt off drinking a glass of red wine. I took one look at the picture and said to myself that was my own personal nirvana. Maybe because I am 36 I think Reynolds is too young and immature to pull off sexy the way Depp can. I definitely agree with others that sometimes he can look a bit greasy, but when that man cleans up, he cleans up better than anyone!! Oh, Johnny.
