This Jake And Taylor Thing Might Be Serious
So, I was standing in the checkout aisle last night and was browsing through US Weekly. I wanted to see what they had to say about the whole Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift thing. Well, I have to say, I was expecting more coffee place pictures so what I saw actually made my jaw drop. That and they raised the price of my favorite tequila by a buck. Bastards.
Anyway, US did a great job of keeping these pictures secret until they published. I can't ever remember a time during the whole Jake and Reese thing where Reese was ever photographed with Maggie. None. Nada. Zilch. So, wham, the first thing you see is this picture of Taylor and Maggie with Maggie's daughter. Talk about impact. Forget if Jake is gay or not. Forget all that. I still don't know if this relationship is real. Does it feel real? I just don't see the two of them clicking. I do know that these photographs take up this whole thing to another level. I can't remember Kirsten Dunst ever in a picture with Maggie. This is big time.

I remember Kirsten being interviewed or something on either MTV or E! back in the day and Maggie was with her.
My two cents is Jake and Kirsten really did have a thing then.
If you see footage of him at like awards shows back then he was much more green and capable of showing his emotions and he seeemed to be really into Kirsten.
Now the Reese thang- and the Taylor thang- neither seem that legit or emotional at all to me. Hell, they look like coffee ads every time I see Taylor and Jake together- its that stilted and odd
I think Jake is bi, but I still don't believe this fauxmance. I think Taylor just has a more aggressive pr strategy than Reese did.
I think that is the point, the gay rumors still persists so what better way to dispel them then to put family pics out there?!?

At the very least, these two seem like nice people. Maybe they can be good to each other while getting publicity at the same time.

I am still curious why Taylor Swift keeps dating guys who are HEAVILY perceived to be GAY. Is she bearding for them? Is she gay herself?

I agree with missjenny619, Taylor's career is red hot right now and looks like it will be for a while, so why would she need more publicity? Unless it's just because there is never such a thing as too much publicity in Hollywood.
Swift was dated with Lautner and Mayer and now Toothy Tiles so nor she's gay/bi or virgin (Ted C has a blind vice on a virgin celebrity)

If it's real, I'm don't understand what he sees in her and how they got so "serious" so soon. I'm on the Jake is Toothy train and the harder Jake tries, the less I respect him. Just come out!
I thought this went with the blind from a few weeks ago about the two celebs that everyone thought were dating, but were really just "practicing" being in a relationship because they were going to shoot a movie together next year. Does anyone else remember that one?
Taylor is 5-11 in her bare feet. She is walking slightly in front of Maggie, yet Maggie looks way taller than her. Either Maggie is taller, the perspective in this shot is deceiving, or it is fake. IMO.
I think Jake and Anne Hathaway make a better couple.
Jake definitely likes women, but he may also like men.
Tay lor is just trying to stay relevant and keep her virginity (cough). Remember, if you do stuff in the back door, you are NOT a virgin.

According to IMDB, Maggie is 5'9" so since she's walking a little behind Taylor and Taylor is leaning down, she would seem taller. I don't think it's fake (the picture; the relationship could be).
It's a fauxmance for publicity. He always has a new gf before his films get released. I believe he's bi.
I don't even believe that he's bi. I think he tried girls (Kirsten) & it didn't "cure" him. Kirsten has been on a downward spiral ever since. Isn't it also a rumor that Jake & Austin adopted? For me, he just doesn't come across as this ultra-macho movie star that studios would have us believe with the charade. Taylor does strike me as virginal & inexperienced with men and she achieved said publicity through high profile ro(or faux)mances in addition to her *cough* talent. That whole Jonas brother thing put her on my radar. But whatevs.

@J - you know what's crazy - Ted C. just answered a reader question today saying Austin Nichols (commonly thought to be Grey Goose) does NOT have any children. That kind of changes all of the guesses??
I think this is more about maximising publicity for both of them. Swifty needs it just as much as Jake - she hasn't gotten where she is based on talent. Take away the hype and tabloid romances and what's left is a mediocre country/pop singer that the public would have lost interest in a long time ago. She's already wetting people's appetite for the song which will come out of whatever's going on. This is how she works.
Also bare in mind that this "romance" has been going on since the end of October, but they've been away promoting their album/movie so have spent maybe two weeks together at most? In Love? Yeah, right! No one is really buying this relationship so I would be surprised if it lasted past the New Year.

I don't have anything to add to the Jake gay/bi/straight controversy, but I don't think Taylor hanging out with Maggie and her daughter means anything big. Tons of girls the daughter's age adore Taylor Swift. She's holding Taylor's hand and dragging her forward. She was probably dying to meet her, Reese Witherspoon and Kirsten Dunst probably not so much.

I believed he & Kirsten as a couple. I did not for a second believe he and Reese as a couple. I entirely believe Taylor and Jake as a couple. I just think he's bi and she's too head over heels to see clearly.
