They Named Their Kid After A Lotion?
Do you know Nivea is the name for an R&B singer? I always assumed it was a lotion. I think it is a lotion too. I am not a big lotion guy. I find that being as large as I am, I sweat a great deal so that is kind of a natural lubricant. If I do have some dry or chapped areas, you would be surprised at how effective some bacon grease is. I am serious. The stuff works wonders and it leaves you with that cooked bacon smell all day. So, it is like 24 hours of breakfast no matter where you are.
Anyway, Nivea is actually a singer and she is also a Lil Wayne Baby Mama. Not really an exclusive club I know. Nivea got busted for DUI over the weekend with her child in the car. According to TMZ, Nivea was celebrating the nuptials of another Lil Wayne Baby Mama with another Lil Wayne Baby Mama and had too much to drink. So, instead of getting a ride home she put her kid in the back seat and proceeded to crash into a tree that had tape and cones around it to keep people from crashing into it. I think if you get a DUI with a kid in the car the penalties should triple.

sidenote: the mexican, chilean and argentine formulations of nivea are wayyyy creamier/less oily-skin-cloggy than the us one. just saying. *worth bringing back from your next south-of-the-border trip*

In NY they passed a law that DUI with a child in the car has stricter penalties, including time in prison. It was named after a young girl who died while on her way to a sleepover driven by the drunken mom of the child hosting the party. I wish more states would follow through on this.

maja...i think it must be...all i know is that the us formulation is an oil slick and doesn't absorb as well. it bugs me when they mess w/ a good thing. as for mexican coke, i understand they use cane sugar, as opposed to HFCS, hence the yumtasticness...afaik, in the us you can only get the cane-sugar coke during passover season (yellow cap, boooyah!)...i'm totally a coke person march-april of every year. hee.
Where does it say she and Wayne named their kid after a lotion? Nivea herself is, yeah, but not their kid.

I actually knew a girl in uni named Nivea. She was incredibly sweet and beautiful.
Nivea is a stupid name. It figures a lil Wayne baby mama would be named thusly.
One of my pet peeves is when people dont really think out the spelling or the name they give their kids. Its with them their entire lives people, yeesh!
I guess it stems from meeting a lot of Jasmine's through the years who spelled it ridiculously:

Jasmin
etc.
Its a flower and it proper spelling is in the dictionary people! Whats so cool about leaving an 'e' off a name?

@ RQ - I was going to post a comment about Nevaeh. I've come across a few people who have named their daughters that. Ugh.

My cousin named her daughter "MadaLynn". For WHY?? "Madeleine" wasn't beautiful and classic enough you had to add some trailer park?? It drives me crazy.
Pookie and Maja, I've been to Belize several times to go SCUBA diving, and they use cane sugar there in the Cokes. Since I'm a big ol' Coke ho anyway, you should see me chugging that liquid Nirvana by the gallon every time I'm down there. It is so fantastic!

My brother made up names for his 3 kids and his dopey wife let him. The girl child is named "Ajhanna" and the two boys are "Arris" (like Harris but without the H) and Taylen.
