Anthony Michael Hall Hates Plants - Gets Arrested
With Anthony Michael Hall's arrest over the weekend for destroying plants, it makes me wonder if perhaps, Farmer Ted enjoys smoking some pot and could not find his dealer over the weekend so decided to see if he could smoke the plants at his apartment complex. Anthony was charged with disturbing the peace after a neighbor confronted Anthony about why he was destroying the plants in the common area of the complex. Hall told him to f**k off and threatened to beat him up. Later, Anthony went to the guy's door and threatened him again which caused the guy to call the police and Anthony to go to jail where he was forced to call everyone The Donger and hold up his underwear for the admiring crowd.

Oh wow, I never thought of the possibility that they'd be weed plants. I knew he has a history of problems, but yipes.
I'm pretty sure he's bipolar and, if he's off his medications, that could make him extremely off-kilter.
Yeah, hadn't this been mentioned before? That he is severely bipolar.

There were issues with his bipolar disorder back when he was doing The Dead Zone concerning his insurability.
Being off meds is a scary place.
His neighbors are terrified of him. They cannot get any help and he scares them to the point of talking about carrying weapons to protect themselves. That's bad.
Yeah, as I recall he has serious mental illness. Can't help but feel sorry for the guy, and the people he comes across when things aren't going so well :(
Mental illness sucks. :( This story reminds me of Kiefer vs. the Christmas tree, which is much funnier. (Although, alcoholism sucks as much as mental illness does.)
Farmer Ted was the best thing about 16 Candles. He was far more cool than Jake.
My theory (based off nothing really concrete btw) is that if you saw him in 16Candles/Breakfast Club he was uber skinny/scrawny. And then a few yrs later in Edward Scissorhands he plays a very beefed up jock/bf to Winona. And ever since then he has been rather beefy. Could be growth spurt? Yes. BUT it could also be steroids or something which would alter his mood and make him seem very unbalanced. People are always so quick to point the finger to BiPolarism but really that would allot to a waaayyy bigger majority being biPolar than I think there really are. There are often lots of reasons for people behaving erratically- saying he is biPolar seems like it could be one of a dozen or more explanations.
