I Wonder What Eva Mendes' Ex-Boyfriend Thinks About This
Although I have always made comments about Eva Mendes and had an open invitation to come over to my parents for a meal and after dinner board games, I knew that she had a live in boyfriend so did not press the issue too much. This is a boyfriend who stuck with her for many years and through Eva's trip to rehab for ______________. No, literally you can fill in your own blank because she said people can give any reason and she does not care. I already revealed the real reason, but if you want to treat it as your own version of celebrity rehab mad libs, then please do. For those of you under a certain age, there used to be games and things children would do on long road trips that did not involve an electrical device. Shocking I know.
Anyway, Eva's boyfriend was there for thick and thin and Eva would barely acknowledge his existence and he was seen even less in public. I don't know if he preferred it that way or Eva wanted to keep her sex symbol thing going and it is easier if people think you are single. I got the feeling she preferred him out of the way.
So, it has come as quite a shock to see her two months ago making out in public with Jason Sudeikis in public even though at the time she was still living with her boyfriend and then to see Eva and Ryan Gosling all over each other at Disneyland over the weekend. It is interesting that as soon as she starts dating celebrities then all of a sudden she wants to show off her guys. How does she think her ex George feels about that? I also think she might be married to the guy and there are some strange aspects to the timing, so this will be interesting if he decides to talk to the tabloids.

Celebitchy said yesterday that she and the boyfriend broke up earlier this year. So this may or not be a scandal, but your point is well made about Eva only brining her "celebrity" boys into the open.
I think she really is gorgeous, and she attended my Alma Matter, but I she just doesn't spark any interest in me what so ever.

I could be wrong but I think she was a tp guess for a blind about a celeb kicked out of a rehab because she was caught smoking meth with another patient.

I cannot forget the reveal Enty did about her parading around Starbucks like a peacock diva. Ugh. Can't stand her now.
This is strictly a hit it and quit it relationship. No love, just sex. As long as they stay on the same, it's all cool.

I always thought she was the answer to the BI about a woman who did so many drugs it cost her her pregnancy, forcing her into rehab. This was years ago, and I don't know where to find the blind.
As for the boyfriend thing, I can't imagine how hard it would be for a non-famous person to be thrust into the paparazzi glare. Maybe she kept the relationship on the DL for his sake. Now that she has celebrity "boyfriends" (agree with those that don't believe either of these are genuine) who are used to it, the privacy doesn't matter that much.
Or maybe she's just desperate for attention.
Personally, I think it's high time we stopped weeping for people who "stuck with someone through thick and thin." If they were not getting their needs met by that relationship, the self-sacrificing partner isn't being an adult or acting for the highest good. Often, addicts surround themselves with self-sacrificial and caregiving rescuers, but that self-sacrifice and rescuing isn't always helpful.
If Mendes had been on her own, I wonder if she would have been forced to clean up faster. It's entirely possible that the rescuer enabled her and made it possible for her problems -- whatever mysterious problems they were -- to get worse.
I love both of them...but they just don't look right together.
It all comes back to Gosling. He is more of a method actor with his leading ladies then people think.
Remember how he lived for 6 months with his Blue Valentine leading lady, and their chemistry showed for it?
Same with Eva, he's building chemistry for their filming going on right now. Don't think he's in it for the long or mid-term haul.
Eva is a player too, she knows what is good for the movie, and the chemistry needed for its success. She also had affairs with most of her leading men: Denzel Washington, Joachim Phoenix, just to name a few, and now Gosling.
Lucky girl.

If She was using something it maybe was coke definitely not crystal meth. if she was using neth she wouldn't give interviews after rehab, or even make movies

I'm with Barton Fink! Her boyfriend/husband whatever had two legs and could have left. There are no badges for martyrs. I bet the guy was a codependent with his own issues.

During my meth years, I knew lots of great-looking meth users. If you get high and drink water and take vitamins and forcefeed some nutrition into yourself, you'll look wonderful. I never looked better, believe you me (I was living in Vancouver, BC, where the queens are vicious). The "faces of meth" people that we see in the publicity campaigns are taking extremely poor people with no support network (let alone personal assistants and managers). Hollywood's meth freaks are well taken care of, until their careers spiral out of control.
I guess the takeaway is: Meth makes people thin and energetic, and it's starvation and dehydration and lack of hygiene that causes skin and tooth to look bad, not the meth itself.

The blind was that she was in rehab for meth.
Eva gave an interview where she stated she stands on her head for 10 minutes before doing photoshoots. Apparently with the blood rushing into her face would make for a better picture b.c she would look fresh-faced.
Mmm, Gosling. I never really "got it" about him until I saw 'Crazy, Sexy, Love.' SO HOT. Maybe it's just that he's finally old enough that I don't feel like a cradle robber for drooling over him.
I used to think Gosling was real hot. The movie (and relationship w/Sandra B) and of course, Notebook.
I'm getting kind turned off by all the short quick relationships.
Now it seems like there is no substance to him. Just a pretty boy. But, maybe it's just a phase.
Never got the Gosling thing, though all my friends fawn all over him, it's good to know I'm not alone in my general disinterest.

@Barton Fink. Bravo! Finally another human being who thinks that being a doormat enabler is a bad thing. There's nothing wrong with standing by people, not getting your needs met and self sacrificing to the point of misery is not cool and certainly not commendable.
There's the possibility that she didn't want to drag her non-famous boyfriend into tabloid hell.
OR that he didn't want to be dragged into tabloid hell and asked/requested to be kept out of the spotlight.
It's also possible that she''s publically running around with these people as a PR move.
And @BartonFink is right-when I went to rehab I met the most beautiful meth head. And I don't mean beautiful by meth head standards-I mean beautiful by conventional standards. Guy was gorgeous.
ha I thought that guy looks like Gosling but not exactly. My theory is that he's acquired the viral gift that keeps on giving and doesn't care who he hooks up with anymore. Meh/Shrug
I think everyone has to have their limits. If you love someone and they have an addiction it isn't terrible to try and stick by them and get help but if they aren't willing to seek help and continue to ruin their life that's when the partner has to walk away.
I also think RG was SOOOOOO devastated after Rachel McAdams he didn't seem to be attached to any ladied for a while (except the method thing with Michelle Williams; which i don't think was ever sexual or romantic just a really long improvisation.)he's puttin' the pimp hat on now looking for his female equivelant to Michael Sheen!
