Sonic Youth November Dates Will Be It For The Band
After 27 years of marriage and some of the best music ever, Thurston Moore and Kim Gordon are calling it quits marriage wise which also means they will probably call it quits Sonic Youth wise. If you are a fan of the music, your last hope may be next month because the band says they will play their South American dates in November. After that? The band says it's a wait and see thing. That means no. Thurston is doing some solo touring after November, but it is just not the same.

i hope they will continue to do concert together because i saw Sonic Youth's french concert,it was very good( the sound...) even if the crowd was very posh
Love them; this is a shame for both Kim and Thurston and for all the fans. Great, great band.

Actually I have noticed a new maturity and improvement in Thurston, in both his composition and his guitar playing. I don't think this guy has hit his creative peak yet.
Bummer, I thought they were forever.
One of the first shows I ever saw was Sonic Youth, Das Damen and Dinosaur at City Gardens ... 1986? Supporting EVOL. They are my absolute favorite band of all time and I am so sad!
City Gardens in Trenton? I am having flashbacks.
