Mindy McCready And Her Son Found Hiding In Arkansas
Last night, U.S. Marshals raided a house in Heber Springs, Arkansas and found Mindy McCready and her son Zander hiding in a closet. No charges have been filed against Mindy as of yet and her son was placed with Arkansas Child Protective Services until he can be reunited with his maternal grandmother. I always like when people go the hiding in the closet route. Do you think the police are just going to walk right by the closets without checking? That perhaps you can hide behind enough clothes that you won't be seen? Oh, and I am sure that hiding in a closet and having the police storm the home was a wonderful experience for the 5 year old kid. Who puts their kids through this? And now she is going to have twins? Police had been staking out the house in Heber Springs because it belongs to Mindy's alleged boyfriend. That is not the same thing as saying the father of Mindy's soon to be born children.

She needs to be locked up for at least a year!! The very idea of putting that poor little boy through that trauma! She is clearly unfit to own a pet rock, much less care for children. Did she really think she could just go against a custody order and not have something like this happen???

That poor kid - I'm really glad he's safe. Now there is the issue of Mindy's twins, and the huge obstacles they already have in front of them and they aren't even born yet. I'm just glad Mindy's mom is open to raising the kids so they have some stability & love in their life. As for Mindy, if the love of a child won't make you turn your life around, I don't think there's hope for you.
i've no doubt she loves her son and unborn babies...but ita w/ everyone that this isn't the way to go about proving that love. a better display would be full-on rehab and counseling so she can make better life choices.
this setback is going to cost her either jail or further separation from her little boy, or both. how unbelievably sad for those children. i can't imagine what state of mind she had to be in to pull this move. :(
i was talking about this with a friend who is a nurse, and complaining that mindy hadnt been arrested. she thinks they must have mindy on a psych hold. and sid its illegal to release that info. my concern is that if they don't arrest her, every non-custodial parent (including my ex) will also try this.
Hopefully SOMETHING is being done.
Every woman I've ever met or heard of named Mindy has turned out to be psycho. True factoid. Must be a cursed name.
Just because you can breed doesn't mean you should.
Most kidnapped children are taken by a non-custodial parent, so this is not atypical. Not clever hiding out in the town where your boyfriend owns real property.
I agree about the psych hold. Apparently the grandmother is a piece of work as well? This is a pitiful tale all around. Probably goes back for generations.
Yikes. What a mess. You have to wonder if Grandma will try to get custody of the babies when they arrive, using this debacle as ammunition. But I have to wonder if that will work out. She is the one who raised this entitled twit in the first place.

Given her history, sadly, I would make a guess that she has some serious mental health issues, though I am in no way qualified to do so. I find it tragic that our society does not recognize that perhaps we might have an epidemic - evolution not having caught up to environmental stressors. It seems many are too quick to judge those who are self-medicating and to put it bluntly, fucked up.
There is a reason our society has a large number of drug addicts, be it the legal or illegal kind. The pharmaceutical companies are making a killing these days. Literally. The woman needs help.
poor mindy is a mess. I watched the celeb rehab that she was on. she has some sort of brain damage from drinking and had a seizure on the show.
I cannot imagine allowing a child to be traumatized in that way.
That poor kid. She needs to be locked up before she causes more harm. Sounds like her mother is an enabler. It's all very sad.
