Mindy McCready Says Her Child Needed To Be Protected
Mindy McCready is going to be on 20/20 this week giving an interview which no one would have wanted until last week when she kidnapped her child. US Marshals found Mindy and her son Zander hiding in a closet. Mindy says that is not true, but in this instance I will take the word of a US Marshal over Mindy. I think Mindy sometimes lives in an entirely different world than the rest of us. She says in this excerpt from the longer interview that she took her son because he was in danger at her mom's house. Well right now he is in foster care and you subjected him to a raid by US Marshals so I'm not sure how you made his life better. He went to live with his grandparents because Mindy could not stop taking drugs or getting arrested, but she thinks she is the right person to take care of him? She can't take care of herself but got pregnant with twins?

Country Music singer, was on one of them Dr Drew shows, but did not get better. Caused a lot of drama on the show, and even more after the show with her husband or boyfriend (?). Disappeared from our minds temporarily until she kidnapped her son.

What she did to her child is sick. There are proper channels to go through to ensure the safety of a child which I'm sure she was aware of and chose to ignore. That poor little boy :(
Good idea! Let a family member take responsibility for her, her money (does she have any), and monitor everything she does.
She has obviously proven that she cannot act like a responsible adult, let alone a decent parent!

So her child is in foster care, or in the custody of his grandmother who has custody? You said both.
the child was put in protective custody/foster care in Alabama until the grandmother could pick him up. I assume she did by now.
I blame Roger Clemens for her descent into drugs and alcolhol. Oh, I know, we make our choices ourselves, but she was 15 for chrissakes. And I blame him simply cuz I can't stand him.:)
I remember watching her on Rehab and thinking she was probably bipolar. And a pathalogical liar.
