Vinny From Jersey Shore Glamorizes Rape - Says It Was A Joke

Oh Vinny you were supposed to be the smart one from Jersey Shore. Now you will be remembered as the one who released a song glamorizing rape. Yesterday for a very short time on YouTube, Vinny Guadagnino had his song Rack City Mix posted on the site. It did not last long. Besides being utterly inane and constantly repeating the words racks and ass, he also rapped about rape.

"Actin' like I'm raping it / F**k her till she fakin' it."

Yeah, so the Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network were horrified and obviously don't want rape trivialized like Vinny did. He did not make things much better when, after the video was pulled he said, "Whoa! Some people really know how to take things out of context ! #LearnToListenToMusic …It was fun though!"

Fun? seriously?

Awww, I thought he was the sweet one. Damnit. Who the hell is he hanging out with that thought those were good lyrics?

I am sick to death of people trivializing rape. Anybody, male or female, who trivializes rape should find out what it's REALLY like.

I honestly think he is so stupid, that he didn't even realize the impact of his words. I can't give anyone on the Jersey Shore enough credit for using any part of their brains. If I did, that would imply that these people actually utilize or have a thought process above a caveman. He was probably thinking "yeah...that rhymes...let's throw it in the song."

@crila, you remind me of that Bones episode, where Dr. Brennan thought the Jersey Shore was really a documentary on mentally challenged idiots, with homo-erotic like behavior they call brotherhood!

I hate when people trivialize rape, but I can see where he thinks he wasn't saying anything out of line. Still, those lyrics definitely push him further into the "tool" and "douchebag" categories.

Well, isn't this how most people react nowadays when they're being called out on their idiocy? - You took my words out of context. - It's a joke, lighten up. - Don't be so butthurt. I didn't mean you. It's always a joke until it happens to you or people you love. But why has it to be that way?

Dear Pasty White Boys,

Unless your name is Marshall Mathers, please stop rapping.

Thanks,
Everyone

@chopchop -- Eminem isn't exactly known for writing kind lyrics about women, either.

He is the smart one from Jersey Shore. If the plant on my desk that is dying joined the cast, it would be the smart one.

Nah, this kid started off okay in the beginning of Jersey Shore, but by Season 3 he had become a total asswipe WRT women. Pauly D's actually the nicest and smartest of the bunch (but that's still not saying much), if you can get past that hair....

Well said Anita. lol!

@RQ - Agree, he was pretty awful in the Italy season. I am also fascinated with Pauly D's hair. I want to touch it.

Well, he's backtracked now, apologizing. The song is called "Rack City Mix" and is about having sex at a strip club. Vinnie needs to work with Andy Cohen on his next single. At least the RH songs are just an assault on your ears. :)
