Eddie George Has A Good Excuse
All day yesterday Eddie George insisted he did not cheat on his wife when with pro golfer Rachel Connor. I keep wanting to call her Sarah Conner and make Terminator jokes. Do you think Linda Hamilton ever beat up James Cameron when they were together? I feel like she could have. I think he was scared of her. She is one of my favorites. Anyway, Eddie got away with a technicality. I think if you went to the store and polled people while giving them the same set of facts they would agree that Eddie did not cheat on his wife. I think that if you then asked if he was going to, everyone would say yes. Come on. Half drunk and alone in a car at night. I don't think they were going to church service. I think they were going someplace to have sex at which point he would have cheated on his wife.

Wasn't his wife a contestant on Survivor? She was pretty and entertaining to watch
you know, not for nothing, but it is possible to be in another person's car and not be doing it. Or, you could just be getting a ride to another bar where you're meeting up with other people. Sometimes, a ride really is just a ride.

On the radio this morning it was indicated there was another female hitching a ride in the car. Driver gets arrested, Eddie takes a cab to his hotel, and female passenger drives the friend's car. Who knows what was really going on, but glad Connor did not hurt anyone while driving tipsy.

I think we should give them grief for being behinde the wheel after drinking or allowing someone to drive who has been drinking.
I met him years ago, after his first year as a pro. He couldn't have been nicer. Signed autographs for the people working in my store. Just a really cool guy. Didn't let the fame of the Heisman or his career go to his head. Of course, this was the mid 90's so he could have really changed since then.
