Ted C Blind Item

Are you all ready for some end-of-the-week coworker catfighting?!

Have you ever despised another employee so dearly that you hoped against hope that one day they'd be canned, allowing you to lay claim to their cubicle and freeing you from the burden of their watercooler blabber?

Meet Harriet Talons—and rest easy knowing she won't be occupying your office anytime soon. She's a popular boob-tube babe on one of those hit series that's always being talked about…which would so not be the case if her coworkers had a say in it:

Because they want her character killed.

Dead. Six feet under. Never to be heard from again. And they want Harriet banished from set, thrown out on her perfectly toned toosh to fend for herself in cold, cruel Hollywood. Yep, Harriet's entire crew wants her fired.

And badly.

In fact, it's all pretty much anyone ever talks about anymore. The problem is, Ms. Talon's safety is all but secured—while another character's life hangs in the balance, Harriet knows her onscreen alter ego won't bite it anytime soon.

Probably not ever, actually.

Sorry, crew folk, looks like the wrath of Harriet will live on. I would normally suggest the people who truly despise her quit…but then there'd be no one left to work on the show (and some of H.T.'s castmates are pretty sweet, I wouldn't want them to be punished).

If it makes you feel better, know that it's not just at work that she's a total nightmare.

Heck, even Harriet's neighbor—who's a big-screen heartthrob as well as a juicy Vice star—can't stand the chick. Maybe it's because she's always begging for him to date her, which, FYI, he wouldn't do in a billion years.

AND IT AIN'T: Ellen Pompeo, Emily VanCamp, Jessica Lange

January jones

The chick from Castle? Or did she get over herself after my husband, I mean Nathan Fillion, told her off in front of everybody?

JW said...

Lea Michele, with Diana Agron being the life hanging in the balance.

Who's the hearthrob.

I think the Office is a clue. It must be tv show that takes place in one.

MadLyb said...

It has to be someone on "Mad Men" or another office show, as @2flower suggested, but Betty could easily be killed off and no one would miss her all that much. I like the character, but she isn't detrimental to the show. This is what keeps me from guessing January Jones. Can't be someone from "Glee" - isn't that show on its last leg?

Is 'six feet under' a clue? Someone on the Office? Someone on Dexter? Whta other shows have folks from SFU?

Unknown said...

Sounds to me like it's someone from Dexter. Dead and punish are mentioned as well as six feet under which is the show Michael C Hall was originally on.

What about Madeline Stowe on Revenge? It would be hard to kill her character off but I can see her being a bitch to work with.

What about someone from Parenthood? Peter Krause was on Six Feet Under - star of the show. Maybe the woman who plays Kristina, his on-show wife? Can't stand her. She'd never be written off.

JW said...

Could it be Frances Conroy. She was in 6 feet under and in American Horror Story with Jessica Lange.

Little Miss Smoke and Mirrors said...

"Six feet under" read like a clue to me. Also, I think it's a show where people actually DO get killed off, so I'm not thinking Mad Men, The Office, or Parenthood. Someone from Dexter sounds about right.

msgirl said...

Whoever it is is an older woman, as are all the aints.

Vicki I hadn't heard about your hub telling the chick from Castle off, what happened? Do tell please?

Maybe someone in the cast of GCB?

Nicolette Sheridan???

An oldie actress, same as the clues. Some clues: cat fighting, office, boob-tube babe, hit series, six feet-under (totally), single and begging for a date.

fireflies said...

Emily VanCamp is OLD? Jaysus, that makes me ancient.

Little Miss Smoke and Mirrors said...

Seriously? Emily Van Camp is 25! The "ain'ts" are pretty spread out in age, 25, 42, and 62.

MadLyb said...

I don't know that Frances Conroy has a well-toned toosh?

I'm going to reach here - January Jones' is a friend of Jennifer Carpenter - so that could be the "Dexter" & "Six Feet Under" tie in. It has to be her - and I'm going to speculate the heart throb as being George Clooney because I haven't a clue. Also, the boy who played her son on "Mad Men" did not have the nicest things to say about her - she was cold.

MadLyb said...

Oh, and I just read that Betty was coming back in episode 3 this season. They really hyped it. I think the gal whose job might be on the line is Christina Hendricks. I hope not! She's such a glorious confection to look at - even for a hetero woman, and she's a sweetie!

MISCH said...

The ain'ts are really spread out age wise...this is hard.

cheesegrater15 said...

Kelly, it was a blind on here. An actress was treating cast and crew like shit and her coworker called her out on it in front of everybody on the set. Called her a bitch and said nobody liked her etc. It was revealed to be Nathan Fillion and whatever her name is.

Betty K said...

Eva Longoria, did a movie "over her dead body".

Does she live near any billionaires?

Casual Observer said...

I think it was someone from "Six Feet Under" and I'm guessing Peter Krause. The person who plays his wife on Parenthood is married, but Erika Christensen (who plays his sister) is unmarried and a scientologist.

I could see a scientologist being super annoying to work around. Now if I only knew where she lived, I could maybe identify the heartthrob neighbor.

Secretly, though, I hope it's January Jones.

Lauren said...

I agree with JW. Lea Michele is the actress. The one hanging on by a thread is Diana Agron. The cast is an ensemble so if they were all to leave there would be no show"

Lauren said...

^^^ hunky neighbor could be Ashton Kutcher in New Years Movie... Not her actual neighbor.

Pelham123 said...

The six feet under reference makes me think of Alan Ball and the not biting anytime soon statement makes me think of True Blood.

virginspring said...

I agree I thought it was January Jones at first until I read that another character's life on the show is hanging in the balance. That doesn't match with any storyline currently on Mad Men.

I don't watch the show but I have heard that Dianna Agron's character on Glee had an accident so it could very well be Lea Michele. She is known to be a diva isn't she?

8daysaweek said...

I'm thinking Michelle Trachtenberg. There was a blind reveal once about her being awful to the other actors on Gossip Girl. She's been back fairly regularly this year. There are rumors that someone will get seriously hurt in the finale, too.
She played Harriet the Spy and guested on Six Feet Under. She was on Mercy which was compared a lot to Ellen's show, Grey's Anatomy. James Tupper was on Mercy with her, he was on Grey's and now he's on Revenge with Emily Van Camp. I'm not sure about the Jessica Lange connection though.

AKM said...

A link between "The Office" and "Six Feet Under" would be Rainn Wilson, Not sure how that would fit in. Also, I don't know how he fits with Ellen, Emily, and Jessica. Of course, he was in JUNO with ELLEN Page, and John Krasinski is married to EMILY Blunt...I don't know; am I reaching here? Is there even a diva on "The Office"? And I don't think anyone's life is hanging in the balance in the show, either. (Then again, I haven't seen any of the episodes from December on.)

Never mind. :-P

Scylla said...

@8daysaweek: this makes sense, there was a BI some weeks ago in which she was revealed as not being very nice to the crew (euphimism for bitchy). I loved Buffy so I don't like it when one of them has bad publicity but M. Trachtenberg really has a reputation.

hunter said...

Yeah, Michelle Trachtenberg is supposed to be a HUGE bitch and this has been commented on by a lot of people. I don't watch Gossip Girl though, so I have no idea.

Talha Aziz said...

I want to say Mad Men because it's got a whole lot of hype recently for it's new season. BUT I doubt it's January Jones because her character could easily be killed off.

For Dexter, there aren't exactly many female leads. Unless EVERYONE hates Jennifer Carpenter and want her gone.

I was thinking maybe some female lead from Game of Thrones? But none of them have the kind of publicity/fame that would fit this blind

Someone from the Office that used to be in Six Feet Under? Or a TV Show that has cast members from both shows?

ForSure said...

Judging by twitter comments posted by an assortment of cast members, I doubt it's Lea Michele. That cast spends a lot of time hanging out together off set (when they aren't working until 1 am). I started to think it was Naya Rivera, but the AIA's are all blondish white women and I think Ted did that intentionally. Blonde actresses from 2 network hits and 1 cable show. Hmmm...

Hasn't Parenthood been cancelled?

DueDiligence said...

Jenna Fischer? She and the guy she's married to on The Office are such anchors they can't get rid of her.

Outside of that I have nothing. I don't watch that much TV.

crichmond1000 said...

Sounds True Bloodish to me, too. Is Sookie being a bitch?

IDoTheRobot said...

Another clue is "show everyone is talking about". The CW's slogan is "TV to talk about...". Gossip Girl, perhaps?

jensun said...

The ain'ts are all blondes, aren't they? Does that help?

emily_h said...

How about one of the women on Once Upon A Time. There's 3 female leads and doesn't look like any of them are married per wikipedia.

RenoBlondee said...

Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey are best buds, so not her.

uberbaldy said...

I was thinking Lea Michelle too but now I'm doubting it. Wasn't there a blind a while back about a show runner telling a diva to pipe down or he'd fire her friend on the show as punishment? I know Lea has a reputation as being a Diva but I also think she get's along with her co-workers. Also the blind says "perfectly toned toosh" and I don't think Lea is known for having too remarkable a body. She's a voice not a body. I could have things completely wrong though.

Hmax17 said...

So I liked the Mad Men thing and thinking about the "boobtube" comment, perhaps Christina Hendricks? Shes really known for her chest.

I don't personally watch it so I don't know if the season premiere has someone in peril.

I cannot see anyway any of the women are connected to her or in fact, each other!

Enny said...

You're all forgetting that Dexter himself was on Six Feet Under! That said, I agree that the show is probably not Dexter because there just aren't a lot of female leads.

Six feet under reference means Alan Ball: creator of True Blood probably.

Also: "...Harriet knows her onscreen alter ego won't bite it anytime soon."
Bite: vampires..
Other character who's life hangs in the balance: Tara (Sookie's BF on TB)

I think its Anna Paquin but its highly unlikely, since she is married. But the 'probably will never be killed off' goes hand in hand with her being the showrunner: True Blood IS basically about Sookie, her character, so they can't kill her off..

Other female chars also don't really fit..Pam/Jessica are also in a relationship in real life and eventhough I don't know much about the actress who plays Jessica, the one that plays Pam is a sweetheart and close with most castmembers.
Can't really think of other important TB chars.
Or it is Anna Paquin and she wants an affair with her neighbour and he says never gonna happen because he likes Anna's husband Stephen Moyer?
Ah well.

Shit You Can't Buy said...

Toned Toosh; people on TB show their asses a lot.. hahhahaa (this is the shittiest argument ever:P)

IDoTheRobot said...

I think this is Nina Dobrev from TVD or one of the girls from The Secret Circle- prob the blonde.

Marie said...

@Vicki Cupper Ah, that makes me love Captain Tightpants all the more ;)

HoneyRiot said...

Body of Proof on ABC. Jeri Ryan's character life hangs in the balance since the last episode. So, that would make it Dana Delaney...thoughts?

Yuska said...

Nicolette Sheridan. Why am I thinking about her?

Habibti said...

Stana Katic from Castle. Well known to be bitchy and bossy.

Brittany Schumacher said...

Michelle T played Harriet the Spy, don't know if that would be relevant information or not.

New to the site, hello.

ForSure said...

What about Once Upon a Time? Jennifer Morrison is blonde now, and the character played by Ginnifer Goodwin has been framed for murder and is waiting for her trial. Morrison is the central character on the show, no way could she ever be taken off the show even if everyone else hates her.

Shadow said...

Could this be Lana Parilla from Once Upon A Time? I have seen some spec around that she doesn't get along with her co-stars and she plays the main antagonist on the show, which would make it very hard to get rid of her.

SOOKIE!

"not in a billion years"..... an obvious reference to the billion year contract active scientology members sign.... this person is likely a scientologist.... someone mentioned it above but didn't get the billion year clue

lzahart said...

Agreed with others that the SFU references likely indicate either Parenthood or the Office (actor overlap) or Alan Ball's new show TB and not Dexter. There is no other female lead on Dexter besides Jennifer C. if you even want to consider her a lead, nor are any characters lives hanging in the balance at this point, and finally I can't see JC or Lauren Velez (the main supporting actress) begging their "neighbor" for a date- who would it be, there is no one on Dexter who is a big screen heartthrob, and I can't see JC begging her ex-husband for a date.

Think Erika Christiansen is a good guess so far. But JJ is always a good guess for these things too!

kingjeremy said...

Doing some IMDB sleuthing, I would guess Michelle Trachtenberg too. She starred in the movie "Harriet the Spy" when she was a child actor. And she did a guest run on Six Feet Under. And now on Gossip Girl - CW is TV to talk about.
