Amanda Bynes Banned From Standard Hotel Bar
The good news is that Lindsay Lohan and Amanda Bynes will probably never get involved in a bar fight. The bad news is that Amanda Bynes now seems to be banned from the bar at The Standard. On Thursday night, Amanda left the hotel bar and got arrested for a DUI. This was the same night that Lindsay Lohan was also in the bar and allegedly got into a fight with a woman who has filed a police report. For those of you not from Los Angeles and wondering why on earth Lindsay would ever leave her home at Chateau Marmont, the two places are within walking distance of each other although Lindsay would probably roll that dice when it comes to driving back and forth.
Anyway, on Friday night, Amanda went back to the scene of the crime. Well, not the scene, but The Standard does not want people to keep reminding everyone that Amanda had been drinking there prior to getting arrested. So, on Friday night, the bar barred Amanda and her friends from entering the bar because they did not want the same thing to happen again. It is probably not a permanent ban and hey, at least this time she brought friends to drive her.
How bad is your drinking problem if you go out drinking the same night you just got out of jail for DUI.

I'm not one to judge people and their drinking because when I'm not seven months pregnant, I certainly like to have a drink or three. But girl, take the night off! When earlier in the day you were at the police station being processed for a DUI, it's probably a good idea to take a few nights (read: weeks) off! Damn!
Did you see on Dlisted where her dad claims she wasn't drinking at all? She was just arrested because she was "emotional."
I wonder if it's possible that the person who is accusing Lindsay of assault got her confused with Amanda Bynes? I don't think they look alike, but if you are drinking...? It's possible I suppose.
idt it's as much about alcohol as it is about wanting to be seen...this makes me sad b/c that seems to have a wee element of desperate there. the marmont makes it difficult to weasel your way into the vip areas, you can drink to your heart's delight and it'll always be a little more discreet...but you cross the street and mosey on over to tourist-trappy standard, it's b/c you want midwest suzy to gawk over you, especially if it's the main bar area. so sad. she's a decent little actress w/ good comedic timing and seemed to be doing quite well for a while there. i hope she's not on a downward spiral.

Well the BI about Amanda and her show with Jennie Garth insinuated that Amanda likes to collect her own homemade porn movies. Just 20 minutes ago Enty tweated that Amanda was more concerned about police going through her cellphone, Technically a violation of privacy but it's the cops and it's unlikely you can file charges unless you see them or can trace leaked images back to them so it happens. Maybe she just really wanted someone to help her add to her collection.
It all likelihood though this is an obvious cry for help and I hope her parents or friends, assuming she has any that really care about her, take notice. Even assuming we all believe she wasn't drunk when she hit that car going out to drink the very next night is a mistake you'd make if you were still in your teens. Not in your mid to late twenties.
I'm starting to feel real bad for her since she obviously wants help but no one is listening. She's probably playing The Beach Boy's "In My Room" on repeat.
Hasn't it already been established that LL was not at that bar that evening? Not just by LL's people, but by hotel management and several employees?

You may be on to something since Lindsay's camp is adamant that she was NOT there. They don't really look alike but I can see how you could get them mixed up if you were drinking and in a dark bar.
It's amazing that Amanda was able to stay out of trouble the entire time she was a working actress and at the height of her career. Now that she's retired, she seems to be getting more publicity than before. Unfortunately, it's for BAD behavior.

The Standard? Really? I had to meet a friend there recently and I was not impressed. I didn't go into the bar, we were having lunch, but the whole place just seems so bland to me. Is it really walking distance from Marmont, by LA standards? It seemed a little farther than that to me. Anyway...
Amanda needs help, and needs to disappear for a while, but I doubt either of those things is going to happen. Sad.
I hope she gets her shit together. I used to watch her The Amanda Show sometimes with my nephews and she was funny, and she was good in What a Girl Wants and Big Fat Liar (which I'd never realized was written by that vile pig Dan Schneider until Himmmm stirred up that hornet's nest).

I would say that her drinking problem is pretty much out of control but my soon to be ex can top that one. On a Sunday afternoon he drank a bottle of gin and a bottle of vodka that he stole from the grocery store (he didn't have any money because he had stolen so much from me and was only home for the weekend on a pass from the rehab he was in). He drank these two bottles in less than an hour of us going to the grocery store and he got very violent with me and was arrested. Spent 5 days in jail. When he got out and had the police come to get some of his stuff (I had a restraining order against him) at 8:00 a.m. he looked rough (seen through the kitchen blinds) while he was throwing stuff in the back of the pickup truck and left. I heard that he showed up at the rehab to get his stuff before noon and he was so hammered that they wouldn't let him on the property. He apparently stayed that hammered until Sunday afternoon when he flipped the truck into a power pole, sheared it off and had to be cut out of the truck. And yes he walked away from this with a scratch. A freakin' scratch! He should have died. We all would have been better off without him walking around breathing our air.
Ashley's puffy face is due to "fillers" NOT steroids. Don't care how she tries to spin it.
I want to know why she "retired". Was she unwilling now to play the game to get jobs? Was she tired of having to be nice to perverts to get ahaed?
She needs help but she has to be willing to help herself and admit she is going down a dangerous path.
If what Himmmm says is true, I will defend this girl till the end of time. Get help Amanda! Everyone wants you better.
I can't judge her too much either for the drinking, but I can't understand what was going on in her head to think going out HOURS AFTER was ok? How does this not register that there might be a problem? It's obviously more than just a lapse in judgement. I've always liked her, even with her odd behavior/tweets. I hope she gets her shit together.
Amanda, you are better than Lindsay Lohan.
