Kristin Cavallari Says She Is Giving Up Hollywood
I love when celebrities say they are giving up something like they are sacrificing everything to do it. Kristin Cavallari said on her Twitter that she is giving up Hollywood and moving on to focus on her boyfriend and soon to be baby. First of all, was Kristin Cavallari ever in Hollywood to begin with? She was on a reality show and that is pretty much it. It has been over for awhile now and no one wants her for anything so how is that giving up Hollywood? I guarantee you that if some show came calling or some program wanted her to host or she got a movie role she would tell Jay Cutler, "See you on some weekends and hire me a nanny," so fast that it would make your head spin. It is not giving up anything if there was nothing for you to give up. If you are allergic to chocolate but give it up for Lent, it sounds real nice to tell people you gave up chocolate, but you were not giving it up because it was not going to happen in the first place. Not sure how this turned into a discussion of chocolate but since I went there, I have decided that I must not be sophisticated or something because if I go to Trader Joe's and get some of that 75% chocolate or some high number like that, I don't like it. I can go a little pure, but I am just as happy with my mass processed stuff. Oh, and I am the same way about wine. I'm sure it was a fabulous year and I should be appreciating it, but to me once you get above that Tickle Pink price point they all start to taste the same.

This shows the over inflated ego of someone who got a little fame from a stupid reality show. She really shouldnt of said anything now she looks real dumb!

lol Enty your rants crack my shit up. I am right there with you on the wine. I know I am supposed to have a refined palate and taste the subtle differences in taste but let's face it: my palate has two reactions to wine, Yummy and Gross. I don't think I've ever bought a bottle costing more than $20. Oh wait, one time for my boyfriend's birthday dinner I bought a bottle at this fancy Boston Italian restaurant -- $65!! Damn, and it didn't taste very good to me either.
If she's giving up Hollywood, can she convince Jay to give up football? Please? He's about as good of quarterback as she is actress.

I haaaaaaaate dark chocolate, too! I do love some guittard milk chocolate and Cadbury dairy milk, though...or anything mass produced and filled with peanut butter or almonds:) And, though I grew up in Napa, wine is my least favorite of the alcohols.

I don't like chocolate too much but I can't stand that expensive crap. Just give me some Dove milk chocolate when I have a craving and I'm good.
Oh and as to giving up something that doesn't really mean anything I used to say that I was giving up sex during Lent back when I was a virgin. LOL!

My husband and I collected award winning WA. state wines for years. We bought Columbia's Millineum in 1988 or so, it was supposed to be perfect to drink in 2000. We forgot and didn't drink it until 2005, by then it was selling for hundreds of dollars, I liked it as much as some ten dollar wines. The good stuff is wasted on me.

Totally agree about the chocolate. Wine is a little different. Sure, you can get a good bottle for $10-30, but there are a TON of really crap cheap wines too. But I don't get people who want to spend bank on an old bottle. I was in Vegas last week & we saw a wine on the menu that was from 1900 and it was $17k. No wine is that good.

I live near wine country in Australia, even the wine makers tell you that what is most important is whether you like the wine you are drinking. I like dry white wine, not fruity, and not red. The only time I have felt price made a difference was with champagne (or whatever we have to call it now that France won that challenge).

I too, am giving up Hollywood and focusing on my life of working 60 hours a week with no overtime to barely pay the bills. My husband and three cats are devastated but supportive of my decision. Thank you to all of my fans, we ask that you respect our privacy during this difficult time.
