I love Christian Bale as Batman...not so excited about Anne Hathaway but I will see it anyway. Probably on opening night.

Bane sounds like Alfred Hitchcock with laryngitis now.

Agreed on Anne Hathaway... I would' ve been happy had they put Michelle Pfeiffer in it again. She is still hot!

To be honest, the fanboy in me is both thrilled and appalled - thrilled because this looks to be spectacular - and appalled at the use of the word "conclusion".
I'm sincerely hoping the word is only being used to refer to the end of this trilogy - and not to something more dire, such as the death of Batman.
Regardless, you can bet I'll be seeing this opening weekend.
And no matter what they do with the movie, bitching about it immediately afterwards.

Anne Hathaway is better suited to playing another one of Bruce's high powered girlfriends who discovers his secret identity midway through the movie.

Anyone else irked by the flying Batmobile?

I'll see the movie, I love Bale as Batman, but Hathaway as Catwoman is not to my liking. I wish Julie Newmar would stay young forever and play the part, or Michelle, or Halle, or just about anyone else.

I don't know. I was disappointed in Hathaway at first, but I think she'll do a good job. She's a very talented actress. Bale is awesome as Batman.

I was really looking forward this this...and then I saw The Avengers last weekend. Amazing. So much so that I'm not as bothered about this one very much anymore. Maybe I'll be more giddy closer to the time, but first, I must see The Avengers again Thursday night. Can't wait!

@Wee...was it better than the first Iron Man?

Wee S said...

@crila it was FAR better than I expected. I barely stopped smiling or laughing the whole way through it - it has Joss Whedon stamped all over it, which is a fantastic thing. So many things that reminded me and my sis of Buffy. But the movie itself isn't one character's movie, they all bring something to the table. I'm just about keeping my mouth shut here, I'm dying to spill but I don't want to spoil it for you!Best comic book movie by far!

I am so excited to see this movie. I grew up with older brothers and have been exposed to comic books and superheroes my whole life annnd part of this movie was filmed where I live. I even waited in line for 3 hours to be an extra in the movie, I didn't make it sadly, but it was cool having such a huge movie being filmed in Pittsburgh, lots of unauthorized pictures on my facebook feed last summer.

Am I the only one who thinks the trailer looks pretty dull? I'm looking forward to the movie, but it's going to be hard to top the last one.

Eartha Kitt was the only Catwoman who ever did the part justice (pun intended).

@wee, I am so happy to hear that about the avengers....I am such a comic movie geek and the fact that Whedon is involved makes me squee like a little girl...very high expectations!

I cannot WAIT to see the Avengers! I've been excited for months. Just watched both Iron Man movies (for the tenth time) in anticipation.

Stoked for Batman, too, but Anne H. takes away a lot of excitement. Really. I wish they'd cast it differently. Crossing my fingers she's not in it a lot. Or, if she is, that she doesn't talk much.

@Jules, I AM a girl so my squeals of excitement were 10 decibels louder than normal! Must.resist.quoting.Avengers.... y'all will have to let me know what you thought of it, I hope I haven't got your hopes up!

As for everyone not on board with the Anne Hathaway casting, let me join you. Michelle, to me, is the quintessential Catwoman. Love her.

Michelle ruled Cat Woman.
Can't wait for this minus Anne, but maybe she'll surprise us.

Between this, Avengers and Prometheus, movies just got a heck of a lot more exciting and enticing to me than they have been in a while :) Stuff I can't wait to see AND actually don't mind paying the outrageous ticket prices to see (for once)!

This looks like it's going to be unbelievably good! I can't wait!

I am so excited to see the Avengers, esp. being a Buffy and Whedon fan... I saw Cabin in the Woods and loved it - def. saw the influence there. My date looked at me strange when I was laughing at parts...needless to say there was no 2nd date!

Wow...Thanks for the feedback @Wee. Now I'm excited to see it. I'm a HUGE comic book fan. HUGE. Wasn't impressed with the X-men series at all. They barely stuck to the comic books.
