Jake Gyllenhaal Hooked Up With Minka Kelly
Every few weeks a story just pops up out of nowhere which has Jake Gyllenhaal doing something you wouldn't expect. The last one I can recall prior to today was him hanging out with Jay-Z at some event together. Now supposedly he hooked up with Minka Kelly despite the fact she told him no a handful of times. I think Jake wanted to hook up with Minka Kelly to make himself look good and she said no so he told everyone he did anyway. And by everyone I mean the tabloids. What better way to keep yourself in the news and to keep everyone thinking you like moving from woman to woman than to release some news that you were with someone who is very attractive. Have you noticed that Taylor Swift never wrote a song about her relationship with Jake Gyllenhaal. There were rumors she would, but she never did. She has about everyone she has ever gone out with, but not him. Makes you wonder if they were just friends.

Why would she write a song about Jakey? They probably are still best buds. I bet she calls him for make-up tips and fashion advice. I can hear it now: "Girl you are wearing too much red! It washes you out. Think pink."
Or maybe she signed something that kept her from writing anything real.
Now that I think about it, I bet Jakey called up Taylor and said: "Girlfriend, how come you never wrote a song about me? Why didn't you ever write about how I broke your heart? Why did you give that John Ahole all the love? I need press too, girl!"

BTW, I know of gossip columnists who have publicly sworn that Jake is str8. His good friend Adam Levine has too. Reminds me of those who protest too much about Zac.

My youngest brother is an openly gay man and is an evening news anchor. I would be saddened if he had to be someone other than himself. but he definitely "acts" different on air than in his private life.

Whatever his sexuality may be, if he's offering, I am definitely taking. Is it so wrong for someone to like both men and women? Human sexuality is fluid, we should be able to love or bone anyone we want. Except for those in relationships *cough miley cyrus cough*
What happened to him? He was EVERYWHERE and everyone was in love with him, then suddenly...gone. I only hear about him every few months.

Roman Holiday, it's not because we want to know what they get up to in their bedrooms. It comes down to being proud of who you are and having the courage to be open about it. It makes me sad that these famous people stay in the closet when 1) they would be so much happier (speculating, yeah) to come out, and 2) it would give normal everyday gay people the courage to also come out.
One of my high school friends was closeted, and even though he came out after graduating, the bullying still haunted him and he committed suicide at 19. The more people who are famous and powerful come out, the more normalized homosexuality will become in our society.
I just can't figure out why people think he's hot? He looks like a muppet with that perfectly straight mouth. Like his face opens in half when he talks ... chin goes down, top of the head goes back. Guy Smiley with a beard. I suspect his tongue is made of felt and there are no teeth in that gob.
I'm pretty sure that Taylor hasn't released an album since before she dated Jake. There are supposedly going to be some songs about him on the next one, which I think comes out this year.
Seaward, I am sorry about your friend, but it doesn't change the way I think about it. I don't live my life thinking that if a famous person does it then it is ok - I do what I think is ok! Maybe that is the problem - people should stop worrying about what other people think of them and then this would be a non-issue.

hey genius the reason why taylor swift never wrote a song about him was because her last album came out in october 2010 and they dated november 2010 then she toured last year then released two songs that went on the hunger games soundtrack this year. and she is recording her next album right now so who knows enty maybe there is a song about jake on there. i honestly think you annoy me more than perez
I'm really glad you've never had to deal with discrimination, RH. You're lucky you live in a utopian bubble, but unfortunately most people DO have to worry about what others think about them or suffer huge consequences.
The point is, if famous people come out, it becomes more acceptable, not the the gay people, but to the people who would do the bullying.

To address whether to be out or not, it's recently been published (cannot find the book)that coming out isn't always right for everyone. Doing so in many cases, is much more truamatic than hiding or living two separate lives (gay with friends, straight with family). And yes, while respected people in the public eye who come out help the cause, that should not be the reason they come out. They should come out to be as true to themselves as they can. I'm all for a movement and especially gay rights but it's not right for everyone.
@Seaward, I am so sorry to hear about your friend. I just recently worked on the "It Gets Better" project at my company and the stories were so heartbreaking. Seems that 19 is such a vulnerable age. Consistently the boys were that age when they committed suicide.

This might be a better way for Jake to beard. Instead of doing photo ops with contracted beards and looking phony and awkward, maybe just being seen out to dinner 2 or 3 times with a woman and then having your PR say you had a fling but it's over still make Jake look like he dates girls and he doesn't have to be involved in full time bearding. And as far as Taylor Swift not writing songs about their "relationship", what is she going to sing about? How hard she tried to be a good beard and still people laugh about them and called BS on them being a real couple? Why can't Jake just come out already.

Just because we haven't heard a song from her abt Jake doesn't mean she hasn't written one. Plus, she may get more subtle and not so "literal" with her lyrics as she matures as a songwriter. One can hope, anyway.
