Blind Items Revealed

It's not very often that an Academy Award nominee can have such a secret life, but this actress has managed it. It is something she got from the rest of her family. Secrets were easy to keep on the family and no one talked to outsiders. No one except for a few people even know who the real father of our actress is. There are huge gaps missing in her life story and some of them are answered here. When our actress graduated from high school she had big dreams but ended up in a situation which saw her getting married to a high school sweetheart. Her life got put on a hold awhile before she could start her acting career full-time. She eventually did so and just when she thought everything was going great after her college graduation, she again had a setback. This time it was another relationship which she has never discussed. She never discusses any of her relationships. As far as anyone is concerned she has never even had a relationship. For a long time she had a relationship with a person she had met at school. This so dominated her life that for almost two years she was unable to really focus on acting. It was not until the relationship ended after two years that she got her big break. Because of the way relationships have messed up her career and her plans, she tries to avoid any kind of situation which could lead to a date or a relationship. She stays alone and has few friends. She refuses to let anyone really know her. She has friends only for the sake of saying she has friends, but they don't know anything about her either. If you ask her a question about any part of her life you will not get an answer, but instead, some kind of vague circling that sounds like an answer.

She was the popular guess, but it's still sad to see it in writing.
So what about the real father speculation about Ron Howard? Was that just grasping at straws? I think the "not sure who her real father is" drove it.
The last post is Enty wishing everyone a happy 4th and a picture of fireworks. Usually he says if he is posting tomorrow or taking the day off.
I remember the Ron Howard speculation being the main reason for comment when this originally came out, but I have a question. Does Enty imply that she has a child out there when he says "...situation in which she married a high school sweetheart"?

imdb to Jessica's PR peoples chagrin posted her real birthdate March 24, 1977 she turned 35. They were trying to sell her as in her mid twenties.
Also, Enty usually posts a final reveal bonus on his Facebook page. Usually someone will post it in the chat if you don't have a Facebook account.
I think Jessica has a striking resemblance to Bryce Dallas Howard. They could play sisters in any movie. Maybe they are in real life. Daddy Howard might have a skeleton in his closet?
LOL at BProfane. I live in the neighborhood where she grew up. We were just saying how nice and quiet the neighborhood is! The weird shit only happens in our house, and that's only because we're not exactly right. :-)

When this BI ran recently, I googled Jessica C. According to wiki she was born Jessica Howard but took her mom's maiden name, Chastain in high school.
If you google her, you come across a birth certificate for her with the last name Chastain. Do they retroactively change your birth cert in Hollywood? It wouldn't surprise me!
She has a lot of siblings. Do they have the last name Howard too?
What's weird is I googled again just now and one of the first thing that pops up when you enter Jessica Chastain Howard is a People article from a year ago that quotes her as having heard the rumors and only wishing they were true.

I've got to say she looks very like Ron Howard and his daughter Bryce.
I also noticed that she was made a member of the Academy a few days ago. It's not unthinkable once an actor has been nominated (Heath Ledger was invited, for instance, while still alive and having been nominated but never having won), but it's rare.
She has some pull.
If Ron Howard is the baby daddy, excuse me, the biological father, I hope he has explained everything to everybody involved. And we are not involved.
She does really play her cards close to the vest. When I was trying to figure out this blind item, I googled like mad trying to find out her moms name and history, because that would help me figure out if her mom would've ever had occasion to meet or work with Ron Howard. I NEVER DID find her mom's name....only her grandmother's!! Any articles that referenced her mom just referred to her as "her mother" and no name. In addition, no history on what her mom did for a living when Jessica was younger. The only thing that is out there is that Jessica's vegan lifestyle inspired her mom to become a vegan chef and she may own one of those food trucks...but all that is fairly recent in her life....just the past few years. I get the feeling Jessica and her mom are taking great pains trying to protect her mom's past from scrutiny.

Yes, I found the same thing. Jessica is a talented and beautiful actress, although making her debut a bit late. Ditto on the mom story. When I ego-surf my own name, I find more about me than you can find about this Oscar-nominated actress.
If she's Ron's kid, couldn't care less as long as he paid for her upbringing. And told her and Bryce before The Help.
OTOH, if he didn't, he's a cad. Imagine meeting your half-sis like that. Imagine having such different upbringings.
This site rocks! !!! all the popular guesses were right. This is sooo sooo fun. Coincidence that the RDJ blind was the very last reveal? Enty and he must be long time close perhaps profesh friends. Thanks for exposing the darkside of hollywood guys. We need good people to protest abuse cruelty extortion blackmail co§ and children being hurt. None of that is ok despite any money or fame. Nothings worth your soul or silence.

I had to give up on the reveals as I live in another country but couldn't wait to wake up and see what I had missed.
I remember this blind vice vividly, and I too think her bio dad could be Ron Howard. Before I really knew who she was I would get her and Bryce mixed up allllll the time!

You guys are good! She does look just like Bryce Dallas Howard - the red hair, the nose, etc., - and her last name used to be Howard. I think Ron Howard's the dad. I doubt he provided any support at all.

Am I the only one thinking her second relationship may have been with a woman, and that's part of the reason she keeps things so close/quiet?
A few years ago I saw a movie called "Jolene." I was blown away by the lead actress--an unknown named Jessica Chastain. I highly recommend that flick. Intense, but really good.

I don't believe the Ron Howard connection, and even if it were true, there's just no way that he wouldn't provide financial support. The only similarity I see between JC and BDH is red hair. Clearly y'all are seein' somethin' I don't. ???

I have been a part-time follower on here for a little while, and was turned on to this site (oddly enough) by some actors who also follow this site. It's not a bad way to feel the pulse of how people view you as an actor or actress.
I know Jessica quite well, and she is very guarded in her private life for two main reasons. Firstly due to the fact she'd prefer people love or hate her work based on her work and not her personal life; and secondly, because when jackals attack anything they deem as a standard deviation from their own lifestyles then they will shred you into tabloid confetti. Which is why she doesn't court paparazzi or scream for attention.
Jessica's family life is a delicate issue, not due to shame or dark secrets - but because she'd like to prove herself worthy on her own merits. If any of you are adopted or have a step parent, imagine the hurt it would inflict on them if suddenly they were treated like a "nobody" because of whom your biological parent might be. It is a special person who raises a child as their own when they do not have to. Even though the biological father does his duty and is part of the child's life, it can cause hurt to many people and can damage you (not help you) in your own career.
Consider the issues someone like Thora Birch has to deal with. (Granted there are many issues) but in regards to her parents and the public knowing their past careers. She's forever "that poor girl whose parents are porn stars". Even today it is an albatross, even without a creepy dad on set with you. Now imgine if your own mom had done wild things in her past? Suddenly you are famous and people want to know every detail of your family life. Not a great career enhancer if you want to be like Meryl Streep (not to mention the lecherous ones trying to force you on the couch to audition).
Jess is really a wonderful, honest, and intense person who deplores nepotism and sexist favortism based on things like the casting couch. Perhaps a bit old fashioned but if you are a morally honest person (though not judgemental) people will use it against you, calling you a snob, etc. when all you want is a fair chance and human respect.
Yes, I understand this is a gossip blog and even as such most readers here are very nice and have big hearts. You are also very intelligent people. That is a refreshing thought in this world today. Think and say whatever you feel, 'tis your right. Just please know that sometimes the people you discuss actually do read these things (as do their agents) and not every actor has evil secrets. Just private aspects they don't want to share. Thank you.

She is a fantastic actress and I like that she isn't all over the tabs. She was so cute at the Oscars with her grandmother.
Jessica was awesome in "The Help". Look forward to watching it again soon. And the Oscar gown was gorgeous!
