Nadya Suleman Wants To Sell You A Payday Loan

You know you are having hard times when you get sucked up into the payday loan cycle. It is so hard to ever pull yourself out of that mess, and you just keep paying that 600% interest. Do you realize that loan sharks don't even charge that much interest? Anyway, Montel Williams gets paid a ton of money to convince you to sign up for one and now Nadya Suleman has signed up with a company that is calling itself OctoLoan. Yeah, they claim they are widely respected in the industry. Considering they have been around for only five minutes, that might be true. Apparently Nadya is getting paid almost $100K to shill for the company. Yeah, because the woman who spent taxpayer money to have 14 kids is the person I want giving me financial advice.

Her face looks like a punching bag in that photo. I'm hoping she doesn't spend that 100k on even worse plastic surgery.

As I was saying before iPhone had a mind of its own.......
I don't see how these loans are legal. It's a glaring need for regulation. No wonder predators get into banking. I bet there is more money stuffed into mattresses these days than the last 100 years.

I still find it hard to believe that she is not on some form of govt assistance. Tons of kids and 1 salary, I bet she never pays the IRS

All right this lady is reaching Cleo the Psychic levels now. Anyone remember Cleo? LOL!

I do have to agree that she is working. Maybe some Jacksons can draw inspiration from her.

Payday loans are the worst idea ever, but I'd sell them for 100k

@Brenda as I read that I could hear her voice so clearly in my head: "Caaall me now!" ah the good old days.

I was stuck in a payday loan cycle for most of the last 4 years. I've only been able to get out of it because my old mortgage company lost a class action lawsuit and I wound up getting 4 grand out of it. I'd go begging on the street before I'd get in bed with those people again.

She's doing exactly what she should be doing--anything she can do to earn a paycheck to support her kids.

Go Nadya!

She made a huge mistake in becoming the Octo-mom, but I'm glad she is trying to do whatever she can to feed and care for her kids so we don't have to.

I use payday loans to get by; my hubby is self-employed, and when things are slow, we do what we have to. That being said, if I borrow $500 a month, I pay back $555, which doesn't seem outrageous to me. And I totally agree with the commenter about how difficult it is to get out of this cycle. Sigh.

About the loans being illegal...I know a girl who has really gotten herself into hot water with these. There's a law that only allows you to have one outstanding loan IN THE STATE YOU RESIDE IN. Now, this girl is one of those who does anything she can to make a buck (three people in her house collect food stamps...don't even get me started on what she does to get her tax refund). Well, as soon as she learned she could use those websites based in OTHER states to get loans, she started. Then, on top of that, she opened three or four checking accounts, so that when these companies tried to debit the money, NOTHING was there. She got about $5,000 in loans, and then overdrew all those new accounts. On top of that, she just got a $900 bill from the IRS for not claiming her 401k withdrawal last year.

People like that are the reason the system is bankrupt.

Payday loans suck. :)

I'm actually working on legislation within California to have these banned! These loan sharks target the poor. You don't see these payday loan places in good neighborhoods. Montel Williams never had a great image to begin with, but now he is a low-life for promoting these loan sharks.
