Shocker!!! Chris Brown Smokes Pot

Chris Brown failed a drug test during his probation. Much like Lindsay Lohan, Chris Brown has trouble being put in jail by judges who seem in awe of TMZ cameras. Chris brown told his probation officer that while Chris was in California he had smoked pot everyday but has a medical marijuana card. When he went back to Virginia for his probation meeting, you know, because he spends sooooo much time in Virginia, he told his probation officer about the pot. Marijuana is illegal in Virginia, but the judge said, just follow the law and don't worry about it and that because she had not ordered mandatory drug testing, there was nothing she could do. So, basically Chris can feel free to smoke pot as much as he wants as long as he says he was doing it in California, and won't go to jail.

I don't want him to go to jail for pot. I want him to go to jail when he has another huge bar fight, for example.

What would be wrong with Chris that he would be eligible for a medical marijuana card? I'm from Australia and pot is illegal altogether. Is it really easy to get a medical marijuana in the US? Is it like you go to the doctors and say you have back pain and you just get one or do they make you go through tests etc?

@misspeg86 - I think it is really easy to get medical marijuana if you are a celebrity.

The $64,000 question is why on earth does he have a medical marijuana card? We know he's not quite right in the head, but it's not like he has a chronic or terminal illness. I read yesterday that he received this card from an accupunturist. Really?

Everyone is getting popped for pot! Lol

You don't have to be a celebrity to get a medical marijuana card in California - pretty much anyone can get them. There are doctors who specialize in it, who have employees out on the street looking for people with "chronic pain," etc.

He's only hurting himself with this imo

SIGH. What is there even to say at this point? I'm sure the judge wasn't exactly thrilled to be giving him a pass, but by law she must have to. I think often their hands are tied by legal protocol, which is really unfortunate and in my experience they aren't always happy about it.

OT Amber if you come this way Tony Ortega has a FB page and I think he is going to link his free lance articles there. (On vacation.Enjoy Paris next week?)

I know of a few non famous people who live in Cali who have medical marijuana cards, you just need to find a doctor that is sympathetic to the cause.

Ppl need to simmer down over pot....far more ppl are addicted to rx drugs and die. I've never seen anyone become violent while high on weed. Maybe this is good therapy for him....

@Agent - Haha! To Vegas we gooooooo! Thank you so much for the head's up - going to it STAT. I leave for Paris tomorrow :) Hope you're having a great trip, as well!

Have a great trip Amber! (Shop well, lol)

@Cmermaid - I'm personally not against marijuana at all. I believe it should be legalized everywhere, the gov't can make money off it, etc etc. What I AM against is jerkoffs like Chris Brown and Lindsay Lohan constantly getting a free pass in life, thus positively reinforcing their habitual nasty behavior.

@surfer - I may have to start a paypal donation account. It is seriously going to test my self-control. *Trying to remember I need new tires before it snows* hehe :)

I dont think hes interested in calming down. Hes like a kid- he can get the legal majuana card, so he does. Prob smoke a little, trade fir other drugs. And as a child of the sixties, pot is mellow and fun, but after a ehile its STUPYFYINGLY boring, which is why non addictive personalities stop. To think of hanging around all day and acting like cheech and ching- which i never found remotely funny- is a nightmare to me. Now, if you truly hv medical condition and pot helps you, i am all for it. But to stumble around half awake all day, no.

I agree!

Look at the picture above with his snotty little face. He needs a giid smack. Put him in prison, and he'll be crying like a baby within an hour. Not so tuff, just thinks he is. Ugh

He must be sexier in person than he looks. That is the only way I can imagine him getting off so easily. He must use his bedroom voice in court.

You say you have migraines and anxiety due to work related stress and the doctor writes you a prescription for a card. Then she tells you she's also a plastic surgeron and that botox is a well known treatment for migraines and that you should consider trying it. True Story. Not like I'd know or anything.

Hollyweird said...

Its pretty ridiculously easy for the entire state of California! Finally, a perk for us regular people.

When I lived in Oregon, there were certain doctors and you only had to pay them $200 and you got your card.

So, because the judge didn't order him not to do something that's against the law, she can't do anything about him doing something that's against the law? So if I go to court on a traffic violation I can tell them about all the dead bodies in my back yard and they won't prosecute it because nobody ordered me not to kill people and bury them in the back yard? Makes no sense.

I can't stand this pitiful excuse for a human. There's nothing wrong with him that he needs medical mj. He just needs a good bitch slapping.

I have a friend in Montana who said you just find a doctor online to get a card. You don't even see the doctor. Just say you have migraines, back pain, whatever, & you'll get one.

Not to defend Chris Brown, but if you fail a drug test for pot on probation, you're not going to jail, even if you're a non-celebrity. Maybe some extra community service or even nothing. Courts and jails don't have time for this small time stuff.

He looks like a legit crackhead...you don't turn into Pookie from New Jack City's twin overnight for no reason....

Probation violations are among the lead reasons people are incarcerated as we speak...sorry, but your statement isn't true.

Hey there surfer, don't go starting rumors about the acupuncturists! ;) ;) I know I can't do that in my state. I thought it had to be an MD.

In Oregon, it seems fairly easy to get a card if you know where to go. There is something on the ballot this year to make it legal (and therefore taxable) state wide - ballot measure 80 if you want to goggle. There was a huge thing in The Oregonian last weekend about the bill.

I don't smoke anything (see Lindsay post) so I'm not attached to this either way. Agree with Amber that the set of rules for celebrities is very different than those for us regular folks.

I think Marijuana is being unfairly maligned by being associated with him.

I'd like to slap that stupid look off his face! :)

@Amber, have sooooooo much fun in Paris! Safe travels!

Hollyweird: Actually, they do use Botox sometimes for severe migraines--a good friend of mine has gotten it for that exact reason, and it does seem to help at least somewhat. She's looking into the new migraine surgery they're performing at Mass General these days, and IIRC she'll have to get a lot more Botox as a test to see if the surgery would be of use or not.

Now, I don't doubt there are plenty of people wailing "Oh, my head!" when they wouldn't know a migraine if it bit 'em in the ass, but I did want to point out that it's not just a BS claim.

Ummm I know you would know better than me, but I don't think that's true. Well i guess it depends on your definition of illegal, but I know it's decriminalized in at least a few areas.

Also, when I was there I definitely thought everywhere was decriminalized, some guy walked up to me at a bar said I was beautiful, at this point I had been in Aussie a few weeks and was fiending for Mary Jane, and my response was "thank you, do you know where I can get weed?" he said "let me get my guy" who was actually in the bar w him, he pulled me to the side and sold it to me in the middle of the club.

I think it should be legal or at minimum decriminalized. The medical marijuana is just a start to getting us there in my opinion. And to clarify I know it eases a lot of synptoms so I do think there is a medical need for some people but most just see it as a gateway to overall legalization so you get people and doctors over prescribing.

Onyx Loathes Hydrangeas said...

Haha, completely agree with this!

I don't think anyone really has a problem with pot, it's more about where you draw the line - people will always fight at the line, so if you draw it somewhere where you don't really care if the line is crossed, the damage is minimal.

That's not very clear. Like, there is this prison somewhere for hard core criminals. They had problems with pot, so they banned tobacco, and now all the stuff being smuggled in is tobacco. Did they ever really care about tobacco? No. But solved the pot problem!

Same with kids. You want them home by midnight? Make their curfew 10pm. They WILL at some stage be late and/or rebellious... But they're fighting against 10pm, not midnight which would really worry you.

Also: Chris Brown is a douche.

misspeg86 said...

Thanks for the info guys. And Silver it's defo illegal here whether u have 1g for personal use or enough with intent to sell, you get into trouble. I think it should be legalised and taxed. I don't see pot as being a problem drug at all. Drinking is 100x worse!

Hollyweird said...

@Robin - Man sorry to hear about your friend. Cannot imagine having to live with chronic pain like that. I'm glad to hear Botox has some real usefulness other than making all of aging Hollyweird look like Madam Tussard's.

But yeah, wasn't expecting a weed doctor to try and upsell me on Botox injections. That sure was a weird surprise.

mooshki said...

I think Botox was originally used for migraines, and the wrinkle removal was noticed as a positive side effect.

Some of the legal criteria for a medical marijuana card include: headaches, pms, nightmares. Most people probably don't even need to lie to get one.
