The World Has Ended - Snooki Gets A People Cover
For the first time, and probably the last time ever, Snooki is on the cover of People Magazine. If you are a celebrity and have a baby, this is the tabloid you wanted to be on the cover of, and somehow she has pulled it off. In a way it is kind of fitting. It is the end of the era of Jersey Shore and probably all the spin off Jersey reality shows that followed. I think at the peak there were six shows that featured Jersey in the title. Who would have thought a few years ago that Snooki would get a Kneepads cover. Kind of seemed out of reach, but then she got pregnant and People loves a cover with celebrity babies. The only thing they like better is some celebrity crashing and burning and then redeeming themselves on the cover. That is probably the only way she will ever make it on the cover again. Or by marrying Brad Pitt.

Ugh. Could her face be any more painted on and airbrushed? It looks more like an illustration than a photograph...can't wait for all these Jersey jackasses to fade back in to anonymity. Hear that bell, cast of ''Jersey Shore"? It's the alarm ringing, letting you know your 15 minutes are up (well, maybe except for Pauly D).
yup, thats alotta makeup, but I cant even imagine the amount that wld have to have been trowled on me after having one of my babies!! cant really see baby's face, but all babys are cute.
(sigh) I guess we'll have to suffer these fools gladly in the future with the "where are they now" segments.
I'll never forget the episode where Snooki and JWoww go to Jenny's house to pick up the dog -- and it's a cute little two-story house with nice furniture and art on the walls and a well-furnished office and a nice yard. They ham it up for the cameras, but these are just nice NJ kids with a boatload of relatives giving them good advice about money and investing and enjoying life. I think they'll all do well, if they can keep away from drugs.
Why are all celebrities aliens? Since magazines always tell and show us the truth, I am starting to question why all these humanoids get magazine covers. Please don't say I'm a speciesist because I believe in equality for all, but I'd like to see a real human in a magazine once in awhile.

Enty, I think your post is kinda harsh, I mean you can pretty much do anything to get on the cover of people magazine. or any magazine for that matter. magazines don't really have standards anymore, and they do what will sell the most covers. no matter how much snooki is trash talked in the media, people still have an interest in her. i feel the same way about jennifer aniston. she is not interesting in the least and her movies aren't that great, but she lands covers like its nothing. and we excuse it, or don't second guess why, cause its Jennifer Aniston. Snooki probably doesn't deserve the exposure, but a lot of other celebrities don't either. so with that being said, I'm sure she'll end up on the cover again some how.
oh! and her baby is adorable. that is all.
Snooki seems to really enjoy being a new mom. She's happy, baby is good looking and adorable. I think it's all good.
sick of seeing reality people, thank gosh I live in a country where people are not paid a years salary to hear about everyday experiences. Not diminishing childbirth. I am a mum, that is why they don;t deserve the attention.. Babies=money. So many women would not be papped if they didn't have children.
I swear, in a few years she is going to be indistinguishable from Tila Tequila.
My mom start buying Kneepads again and it's pretty fun to tell her the "real story" about stuff in there. Always with a disclaimer of course.

However, I love how Pink is laughing at LeAnn's 'anxiety crisis'. I bet the graphic designer did, too.
I really dislike Snooki and her being on the cover is cringe-worthy (cute baby though), yet I'm sure LeAnn Rimes is losing it right now that she lost a cover to a MTV reality show cast member. Ouch. See LeAnn, when you use some lame anxiety excuse instead of going into the real reason for your necessary rehab, you're going to get minimized by Snooki.

I'm thrilled Snooki got a cover with a cute baby, if it means LeAnn's phony baloney ass was kept from getting the big cover.
I'm not surprised in the least that that kid came out with a spray tan, but he is freaking ADORABLE. Snookie, well, whatever. It's Snooki.
Sure the baby is cute... but why does People refer to this person as a "star"?
I used to enjoy this mag, oh, fifteen or twenty years ago, now it's on par with the trash mags-Enquirer and the rest. Either it got worse or I pulled off my bullshit goggles.
Only good thing I can say is Pink is looking fantastic.

OT: I love Snooki and Jwoww. I started watching their show, and even though my IQ is at 10 right now, I love it.
I totally agree, I used to love people but now I'm disgusted with the way they spin things to make someone look favorable. Prime example is the tom and katie saga but on another note I love this cover and the adorable baby booties. I just might buy it.....nevernind ill read it while I'm at the checkout line in the supermarket.
@Carrie - I thought the same thing. Seeing LeAnn bumped to the sidebar for Snookie is the best part of the cover. bwahahaha!
djphob: No, I think she's got her act together at least somewhat better than poor Tila, with better family support. It sounds as if she's taking motherhood seriously (as one should), and I think she'll try to do right by the little guy (who is, of course, adorable--that head of hair!), so I think she'll be OK in the long run. (Hopefully she & the other cast members have been putting away at least some of their money, but we'll see...) I do wish she's wear less makeup, though--she's much prettier without it.
Anyway, she bothers me a whole lot less than a lot of other people who get talked about much more here (the initials K and L are involved...), so I won't begrudge her the Kneepads cover (um, Enty, this IS Kneepads we're talking about here, remember?).
Please let her cover outself Jessica Simpson, please!!!! I think I'll buy one just to help.
I can see people being fascinated by this. It's Snooki and she's a mom. That's a combination no one ever thought they'd see.
As for the baby, is that a cross or some sort of trompe l'oiel (sp) masterpiece? Because I've been to an Italian baby's christening, they get jewelry!
Pink should have had the sweet spot on the cover & everyone else on the sidebar. I hope they didn't get toi Kneepads-y with the Leann article. I just cannot stand that psycho.
