Dina Lohan Is $1.3M In Debt

Lots of people go into debt. Dina Lohan just managed to go into debt despite earning millions of dollars as Lindsay Lohan's manager when Lindsay was actually making some money. The thing that kills me when I look at what the NY Post dug up is the $302,000 lien owed to a business partner which was spent on Lindsay's singing career. That worked out really well didn't it? Even after that disaster, Dina still tried with Ali, but I guess she didn't have to pay for that. She suckered the Maloof family into paying for that. What is said is that she did not even pay the bills for her kids' dentist. That is terrible. Dina owes $900K on her house so that is the vast majority of the debt. She has not paid anything on her house though. Lindsay paid $40K in one lump sum and presumably there was some money put down, and Dina has only paid a total of $200K on the house.

I see it with athletes all the time and the truth is, it's not just drugs (though those don't help).

There's the legal problems and the tens of thousands of dollars spend on those. Doctors don't work free, plastic surgery gets expensive. Cars? Do you think Dina drives a Chevy? They're buying new SUVs every year, which is probably 90k.

Personal assistants for both Lindsay and Dina, award show dresses, jewelry, paying off people who Lindsay's stolen from or offended.

Buying gifts for producers to ingratiate yourselves.

There's not many people who become rich who stay rich - Those that do are usually university educated professionals who become rich over a period of 20 years and have a steady source of incomes.

lutefisk said...: Dina also owes money to the Cold Spring Harbor School District. CSH is a much more prestigious district than North Merrick. When the kids did go to school they were enrolled there and the Lohan's were supposed to pay the school taxes to cover their education. They never did. However, I don't think any of the kids attended school there for any great length of time.
Also, when they built the house $1.1 million was not a huge amount for a house in Merrick. However, North Merrick is the less expensive area and the houses are worth less. Had the house been built in South Merrick which is mostly waterfront it would not have been questionable. Seems they just couldn't afford it, regardless where it was located.; 9:50 PM
