Amy Winehouse's Wedding Dress Stolen From Her House

Well, if you were thinking to yourself that what you really would love to wear on Halloween is Amy Winehouse's wedding dress after breaking in to her house to see if it is really haunted, someone beat it to you and you will have to wait until next year. Amy's charity reported the theft of Amy's wedding dress and a newsprint cocktail dress she wore. I remember that one. Probably it was someone who couldn't decide whether to go as Amy as a bride or Amy as a single person. It is a tough call. Honestly though, as long as you have that beehive hairdo, either would have worked. I'm not sure why anyone else would steal her dresses. It is not like there is going to be some huge demand or that you can show them off to your friends. I bet they are returned very soon with a note that says please try to ignore the melted chocolate stains and a twenty pound note for dry cleaning.

How have they not packed up her stuff and sold the house yet? Even if this did happen back in July. The estate must be settled by now.

Her Dad is quoted:" the house, worth around £3million, is being sold and all her possessions logged and put into storage " which is how they realised they were gone. The dresses were to be auctioned for charity - drug related causes.

@amber -- are you kidding? It took us 2 years to wrap up my mom's estate. The larger ones can take awhile, and in the meantime property can't get sold.

@Seachica - things must just work differently here. I was in charge of my grandmother's estate, and even with a contested will it only took a year. When my grandfather died, there was a whole company to deal with and it was less than a year.

@seachica - we were the same way - my dad didn't have a particularly large estate but between selling his condo (which went quickly, thank God) and doing all the paperwork and dividing the money and stuff, it took about 2 1/2 years.
