The question has always been whether this former A list actor and forever at least a B in our movie loving hearts is gay or straight or bi and no one can understand his marriage to this A list actress. Well, it seems they have come to some type of compromise at least as far as the sex goes which had not happened in years. That hot new nanny/assistant is all his all the time and our actress loves not having to hear any whining and she can focus on what she loves the most. Herself.

I think the bi/gay rumors started when MB was on Broadway with Nathan Lane, like that's why they had chemistry. It seemed silly to me because I remember when he dated Jennifer Grey and a bunch of the other actresses our age.
Only recently have we gotten the rumors about the college girls. Doesn't SJP keep a separate household? I heard something about MB living away from the kids.

Didn't Matthew Broderick get caught a couple of years ago in an affair with a woman? Maybe he gets the "gay" tag because he has done musical theater. People stupidly think everyone who sings and dances must be a homosexual. He and SJP are a good guess.
Cheryl's right, there was a big bad rumor about MB & Nathan Lane. The only 'chemistry' they had was the same as when any very good actor & a great actor get together and can play off an equal (or near equal). It makes all the difference in the world, who you're playing off of. Nathan Lane helped MB lose the uptight, that's all. NL elevates anything he's in, although i understand why some don't care for him.
Matthew Broderick started on Broadway when he was young, like Sarah Jessica Parker. He played the role of David in Harvey Fierstein's Torch Song Trilogy - playing Fierstein's teenage son. (For those too young to remember, when Fierstein won the Tony for Best Play that year, he shocked the audience by openly thanking his lover in the acceptance speech, way back in 1982). Broderick went on to create the indelible character of Eugene Morris Jerome in the original Broadway productions of Brighton Beach Memoirs and Biloxi Blues. (Jonathan Silverman took over the role for the original production of Broadway Bound.)
The gay rumors have always seemed to come, in my mind, from Broderick's association with theater (dramatic and musical) and not for any actual evidence of "being" a gay man. It's a stupid, lame stereotype (theater = gay, for men) that needs to be done with already.
OK thanks for confirming, it's so weird when people automatically assume a musical theater actor is gay! Good chemistry = good acting.

I agree w consensus on SJP and Ferris. "no sex in years" is from her blind reveal i think and if he is BI, then college girls, etc are good 2 go as well. BI mens BOTH. I think Enty is implying it's that specific coupling that is hard to understand.
