Lindsay Lohan Will Be Charged With Lying To Police

Last June when Lindsay got into an accident on her way to work and hit the back of a semi, she told police she was not behind the wheel of the car. Turns out she was and all those prescription pills on her and all over her trunk were hers too. Turns out though she has a bunch of doctors willing to give her legal pills. When she dies of an overdose lets see how confident they were in prescribing those. Anyway, Lindsay is going to be charged with lying to the police and if this were you or me and we were on probation for theft and this happened to us, we would be looking at jail time. With Lindsay they will probably give her some kind of medal for going this long on probation without getting it revoked.

timebob said...: @SusanB she came close to a felony with the necklace theft, but the Judge threw her a bone (AGAIN) and knocked it down to a misdemeanor.

CrazyCatLady said...: I can't help it, gotta jump in the soapbox: The state of Calif is considering doing away with the death penalty due to cost. Lindsay is never jailed because of overcrowding. So seems to me if they would just keep the death penalty (assuming all DNA, evidence etc is correct) and not let people sit on death row forever, talking to you Charles Manson, all would equal out.

There will be hearings to see if oh gee, should we suspend her probation??? hmmm... and then hearings on oh gee what should the sentence be... but this is a misdemeanor charge on a misdemeanor probation violation so keep that in mind. As much as I'd lurve for that skank cracken to get locked up for a totally long time. This ain't New York.

Proposition 33(?) is one of the props we get to vote on this time for doing away with the death penalty and changing it to life in prison with no possibility of parole. If enough people vote for it, then no more expensive death row.; 11:08 AM
CrazyCatLady said...: How is death row cheaper than housing an inmate for life? If CA didn't have such an ungodly appeals process that goes on forever, inmates wouldn't be sitting there for 20+ years. At least in Texas we actually follow through.; 11:12 AM

Bleu said...: The way this hurts Lindsay the most is that she's now totally fucked over Lifetime in terms of its insurance -- they're going to have to pay for the totalled Corvertte was it? And the trucking company is going to demand they pay for the damages to that 18-wheeler too. Which in turn means that the few places left that thought the "free" publicity they'd get hiring her for anything are really going to have to think twice about whether they can afford such diminishing returns.
