Football all day! If any movie, A Christmas Story.

The Santa Clause, with Tim Allen. So. Freaking. Cute. It makes me believe in Santa Claus every time, I know it's silly and it's a kid's holiday, but I really get into it.

There was a post here not too long ago that talked about Home For The Holidays, so I wanted to watch that. I requested it from the library & was 4th in line for it. Then whoever had it lost it!! Now I'm 3rd in line, but they don't even have it anymore. :'(

So probably Love Actually.

I watched the thanksgiving episode of WKRP in Cincinnati last night. Bombs away!

Given I'm working, that's gonna be a toughie.
However I have faith that whoever's in charge of the remote at work will have something on.
So I'll probably catch a few minutes of NCSI's Christmas themed episode.
Or something similar.
But truth be told, I'm holding out for the train wreck that will be "Liz & Dick...The Blohan Travesty".
Certain to be a holiday classic.

Watched Planes, Trains and Automobiles last night. One of my all time Thanksgiving favorites is Scent of A Woman.

Leaving soon for dinner with the in-laws. But the Christmas movie I watch each and every year at least twice is A Christmas Story. It came out on video not long before my mom died (back in the 1980s) and it made her cry - said it reminded her of when my sibs and I were kids. And the dad in that movie is a lot like my dad was. So it's my favorite.

Season 2 of Once Upon A Time (thanks again, Vicki!)

Oddly, our tradition since I was little is to watch the Rankin and Bass "The Hobbit". It's just not the holidays without it.

After Thanksgiving dinner is consumed, the Christmas season can finally begin with the annual viewing of Christmas Vacation to kick things off. Then tomorrow comes Elf while putting up the tree!

I watch Elf and Bad Santa every year, but not until Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.

When Harry Met Sally... Technically not a holiday movie, but the best scenes happen around the holidays and they get together at New Year's.

JSierra said...

If anything A Christmas Story. I plan on just getting really trashed today.
I have to work tomorrow morning (flying spaghetti monster save my soul) and with spending Thanksgiving alone I figured day drunk was definitely the way to go.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope it is a safe and happy day for all

National Lampoons Christmas Vacation and The Holiday! Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. I'm off to open some "chef's juice" and get to cookin'!

Love Actually. Then Bad Santa, Christmas Vacation. A Christmas Story we watch on Christmas Eve when it runs on TBS over and over. I also like to include the Winona Ryder Little Women during the holidays too if I have the time.

Today? Nothing. We'll watch Christmas Vacation this weekend, though.

M*A*S*H marathon for me. I've got over a hundred eps saved up on my dvr. There are a few holiday episodes in there, so I think that should count.

I watched "Safety Not Guarenteed" just because I had the DVD.

Merlin D. Bear said...

OT, but still...
@EmEyeKay
I'm another "Once" addict...so I have to ask... just *WHAT* was in that damn box that made him suddenly go from an attitude of "yeah buddy, stay right there, I'm gonna call the men in white coats to take you away" to "ok, I believe" in a nanosecond?
And what's your opinion of the inclusion of Mulan as a "storybook character" ? Last I checked, she was a Disney creation less than 10 years old, not a classic character like Snow, Aurora, etc. (But I'm still hooked)

Charley said...

Home Alone- Lost in New York.

a non a miss said...

Merlin- Mulan is actually an old Chinese folk tale, not just a Disney character. Also, I wanna know what was in the damn box too!

OnionRing said...

I feel exactly the same way. There is no better way to feel 7 years old again than watching The Santa Clause!

Black Christmas and maybe Harold and Kumar... Yeah.
