Blind Items Revealed

October 24, 2008

#1 - Jackass - This foreign born B list film star who was shooting for A list before he started losing his hair and his box office mojo is apparently extremely sensitive about his hair. How much? Well, he was buying a suit a few weeks ago and the salesperson suggested a hat because he thought it would go well the suit. Our actor took it the wrong way though and took a good five minutes to yell at the offending salesperson before throwing the suit on the floor and kicking it around a little and then walking out the door.

Jude Law

Thanks for further confirming what a douche he is, Enty! A grown ass man throwing a suit on the floor and kicking it around like a three year old. Just shave your head, asshole, and spare the rest of us your hissy fits.

I had the biggest crush on Jude Law back when Gothica came out. I called him Dreamy Jude Law.

Then he was the trashy skank who cheated with Sienna Miller then on Sienna Miller. No wonder he lost his hair! All that stress!!!

I love him as Watson in the Sherlock films with Dreamy Brown Eyed RDJ. He's still a great actor. Just needs to chill about the hair sitch!

He can afford plugs. It helped piven and cage. If something makes you that unhappy and you can afford to fix it then why not. Don't put it on other people.

Fellows,if you're losing your hair..grow your beard out. Or do like Jeter and keep your hair closely cropped to your hairline.Jeter actually looks better.I tend to giggle when I see older women with their bangs pulled over their forehead.

Bahahahahaha!!! What a princess!!!

I knew it! I totally read this as it being him

Bald men can be so sexy when they just embrace it and don't try to hide what we all know. Bruce Willis, Ed Harris, Montel Williams, Sean Connery...*purr*

Seriously, who has ever said to their girlfriends "Donald Trump's combover is so hot!"??

Kloie said...

I read this to my husband and he was like "why would they try to sell you a hat when you are buying soup?"

Anna V. Xol said...

I know. Bruce willis! ;)

Funny. Love the Gwyneth digs too. They are so over the top. Love her and Jude. And RDJ too! If you see him say hi.

Jeezus, when you go into a high-end shop you are going to get high-end service. A simple "No, just the suit, thanks" would have been sufficient.

I love it when spoiled brats get a dose of reality (or perceived reality in this case) and completely lose their shit over it! Waaa! Waaa! I think you told me the truth about myself! Waaa! This is great Enty, keep em comin'.

Totally believable from him.

He had a hair transplant recently. While he's not advertising it, he's also not shy about it when asked. A man being sensetive is hardly diva behavior. It's. pretty normal reaction, but what fun would it be if you all believed he was a regular person, with regular insecurities.

ITA with @Rain: If having "hair" means a Trump comb-over, get out the razor, and shave yourselves bald, guys. It screams self-confidence and manliness and is very sexy.

Plus, Jude Law could totally rock a shaved head. He has a gorgeous face and incredible eyes; if anything, he was almost too pretty when he had a full head of hair.

I can't defend Jude's actions in the store, but I think it must be devastating to any young man to go bald, especially in a career that relies on looks.

Jude may be (or not) a cad in his personal life, but I watched Talented Mr. Ripley last night and he was pitch perfect in it.

I met Jude while filming Road to Predition in Chicago at a after-party. He spent the entire evening in my friends bathroom...doing whatever people do at parties. He was kinda little, bald for his role and hitting on every girl available.

Funny thing is he brought Daniel Craig w/ him and I thought he was just a tag-along assistant. Needless to say Daniel played pool was very kind and didn't partake in the bathroom activities. Very nice guy!!! Who knew I was teamed up w/the future James Bond over billiards!!

Dia, I had that biggest crush on Jude back in the day as well. I always find my gossip addiction a double edged sword as I still appreciate the 'actor' but have a bit of disdain for most knowing all the dirty laundry we hear. ;)

Willis is lucky. Not everyone has the right shape for a bald head. Most don't. Jude Law looks like shit that way. Douchiness aside, he should call McConaughey and find out way he did. His looks great. Law looks terrible now. Compare current JL with "Mr Ripley" JL. SUCH a difference!

@me awesome story re Daniel Craig!

Jude douchey

Ha ha, that would be a much better story x

GREAT reveals today, Enty!
And loved the comments just as much, as always:)
@me, your story was awesome, thanks!!

My best friend saw Jude Law at a restaurant in NY while back. She also said that he was tiny and really really skinny.

BringingUglyBack said...

I was balding by 26 sadly that's when my appeal went down as well...The guys you mentioned always looked good even with hair.

Outshined said...

I like bald/ing men but Jude Law is icky. I watched some of Contagion today, he's a terrible actor.

Deryn said...

He could have carried off being bald (or plugs) and still been A-list if he hadn't been such a bratty horny doucheball. C'est la guerre.

Pip said...

Whocaresnow, saying he is being sensitive is the understatement of the year. Yelling at a person for doing their job, and then kicking around a garment that you haven't bought is beyond douchey. I am so glad not to have to deal with asshole customers anymore. Retail sucks.

Geebz said...

Late to the party but...ha ha ha!!! That was great.

greenmountaingal said...

Remember the late 90s when Jude Law was hot? I used to have a picture of him on my wall in college. Pathetic, I know. The vision of a balding Law throwing a temper tantrum is hilarious.

Don't take it personal, just an observation:-)

@me - Jude Law doesn't change much: Road to.../Chicago -> Charleston/Cold Mountain BUT he didn't bring anybody of Craig's ilk to Chas.

The little creep held court in a dive bar on Market St. where he auditioned girls to take back to his hotel. After he picked 2-3 girls, he would get surly and arrogant and blow off anybody who approached.

All this while Sadie was heavily pregnant w/their fourth. He had it written into his K that he could go home to London when she went into labor [because he was such a devoted husband].

They had to shut down production in the midst of some fairly expensive shooting in Chas. so JL could go home. Most of us thought he probably went back to Sienna or a nanny.

Also, he had one of his daughters with him on the set. Her nanny was distracted, the child wandered off and was almost trampled by a horse. Fortunately someone saw what was happening, swooped in and pulled her away from the horse before he came down [the horse 'bridled' and reared up when the child stumbled into its path].

By the way, RZ went WAY out of her way to be nice to fans during the filming. I've got a major soft spot for her and wish nothing but smooth sailing and happiness for her.

And, yes, I do have personal experience w/ghosts in Charleston :0

Thanks for the inside info, me & elspeth.
Great stories, and nice to hear that RZ is nice, or at least makes the effort to act it. But what of Kidman? What of the ice queen?

Funny... They were filming Alfie in front of my apartment because the exterior of my apartment in the East Village was suppose to be the exterior of his apartment. Anyway, they basically closed down our street and access to my apartment so my neighbors on 7th street decided to break out some wine and beer and watch the filming on the stoop across the street. (NY hoods can be surprisingly close knit)

Jude Law migrated over to the stoop along with another actress, Renee Taylor (The Nanny). We offered some wine but Jude just sat there staring at us without a word. Renee Taylor had some and chatted with us for awhile. Jude just stood there for a long time staring at us and ignoring us. He wouldn't talk to us but he just stood looking at us. It was so weird and uncomfortable. Maybe, we were not fawning over him and kissing up to him like he was used to... Or maybe he is really socially awkward... Who knows? But his appeal dropped a lot that day for most of us... Renee Taylor, on the other hand, was very funny and easy going. And more importantly, she was on the Nanny! (He is slight and small but most actors I have seen walking around in NYC tend to be smaller in person except for maybe Benjamin Bratt, Hugh Grant, Daniel Day Lewis, Josh Harnet, Conan O'Brien (giant)...)

@IMakeNoSense I don't know, I might be your kind of girl. For me, it's the confidence of embracing the bald. I know ordinary bald men who just have "it" because they accept it. Wear that beautiful bald head! :)

Sara said...

Ugh, what a shame. Jude Law is a great-looking guy and a really good actor. Not to get all pretentious on you, but I saw him him as Hamlet on Broadway, and he was fantastic.
And I agree that bald can be so, so, so, so sexy.

@elspeth - "dive bar on Market St"
Was it Henry's? And I wanna hear about your ghost stories!! :-)

Eeekalicious said...

Hair replacement technology must be getting better for men...It seems to me it is getting harder to tell if someone has had something done or not.

I was wondering if Brad Pitt had something done when he was going around with that toque on for about a year....

Eeekalicious said...

@Amy

OMG! Talk about rude. What an ass! Very interesting story.

elspeth said...

Lelaina, You nailed it! Henry's was his place of choice, and with all the possibilities in Chas., why he chose that place is beyond me other than it attracted the kind of clientele he was interested in.

Another time when they shot on Queen and Church Streets, in front of the Huguenot church, some little slip of a thing in a halter top, skimpy skirt and sky high F^%$ me heels, waded around in the mud [The set people had dumped loads of dirt on Queen and Church to make them look like Civil War era dirt roads; then they doused the dirt w/water; it was a real mess (although I suspect Chas. had brick or cobblestone streets then) -- They even placed tall weeds all along the street edges to indicate the run down state of the South and covered the sidewalks w/wooden boards]. Anyway this girl strolled around for about an hour, and then I saw a PA taking her back to a hotel [Overheard her talking on her cell when they passed me -- Whether it was for JL or someone else, I have no idea. But she looked so out of place on that set -- I remember her outfit had zebra stripes -- Everyone was either in period costumes or work clothes like jeans, boots, etc.

Immediately after church was over on a Sunday, the CM set people began preparing the streets. They planned to shoot all night, and clear things out on Monday a.m. They had paid the city for 24 hrs. use and had made payments to home and business owners for their inconvenience. There shouldn't have been much of an obstruction to Charlestonians and tourists because they were going to get everything cleared out early Monday. After they completed the transformation, JL got a call that his wife had gone into labor and left for London. Because they had completed the set, the powers that be decided to leave everything in place so instead of paying for 24 hrs. of use, they had to pay the city and individual owners for [I think] about three days.

I'm not a morning person, so I didn't show up until about 10 a.m. each day. I heard that she was on set briefly very early one day and that she was going to spend the rest of the day practicing riding side saddle. Didn't hear about any interaction between her and the locals.

RZ, on the other hand, came down many times when she didn't have to be on set for filming. She signed a lot of autographs, fell in love w/one of our horses, and was very cordial and nice to everyone.

elspeth said...

"She" was Nicole Kidman -- Who was supposedly seen on the set before going to practice riding a side saddle. I did hear that she did a number of scenes in large old warehouse type buildings on the closed Navy base in No. Charleston but didn't hear a word about her behaviour.

elspeth said...

OT, again, but for Lelaina ;-): I lived in an old house in the historic section of Chas. The ghost was believed to be an old servant. Over the years, some people have said they saw him; I never did.

[Also, before this happened I had no idea that the house was supposed to have a ghost.]

One morning while I was still in bed, I heard the bedroom door open, heard the floor creaking and felt 'something' walk around the bed towards the bathroom. I thought my SO had come home; I slowly and lazily rolled out of bed to see what he was up to. Nobody was there.

There is a slight/short hall off the bedroom that separates the master bath from a walk-in closet. Originally [where the closet is now], the master bedroom had a door that opened into the nursery; in turn, the nursery had a door that opened into the nanny's room. Besides the door into the nursery, the nanny's room had a door leading to the back stairs and another that lead to the front hall and front stairs.

I felt something come in a lot of mornings -- Always about the same time. A ghostly breakfast in bed? A servant on his daily rounds? I never felt threatened, alarmed or nervous.

Where I initially thought that a real person had come into the bedroom and walked around the bed and room to go into the bathroom, I decided that the servant was coming in the room and going out the 'old' way [which was now walled off] through the nursery and nanny's room to go back downstairs.

I was never bothered by the 'visits', but I've heard that some spirits feel compelled to 'stick' around. So one morning, when i heard/felt him enter, I mentally told him that he had been a good and faithful servant for so long that it would be perfectly alright if he rested [I didn't say this out loud but thought it instead.] I repeated the thought several times.

I never felt his presence again.

I've got more ghost stories, none experienced by me, but Chas. is an old city with a colorful past. My family settled there more than 300 years ago so we've got a long history there. If/when Enty does a 'Your Turn' re ghosts, I'll contribute again.

PSA!

Men if you are balding or have receding hair- SHAVE THAT SHIT OFF.

No one wants plugs, that makes you look desperate and old. No woman wants to be with as man more obsessed than his looks than they are.

Shave it, mourn it and accept it, you beautiful bald bitch!

many typos,whatever.

Thanks for sharing, eslpeth! Sigh, I miss Charleston. I have more questions, so I'll just email you. ;)
