Jenelle Evans Talks About Her Heroin Withdrawal

In a series of Tweets with another person also suffering from heroin withdrawal, Jenelle Evans admits that she is hooked on heroin and when she runs out of her prescription for her heroin substitute and then wonders aloud where she can get some suboxone. She also talks about how her husband is in withdrawals which may explain their nasty fight and why they briefly split. They both need to be in rehab.

NOTHIN' ELSE WORSE CAN HAPPEN, MOOOOOMM!!

Oh if only she knew then how her life was going to turn out.

Watching her try to quit weed was nothing compared to what she will go through to try to kick this dirty habit. I feel so bad for her son.

That's pitiful. I kinda feel sorry for them.

At least she's trying.

I have a former co-worker who was addicted to Oxycontin; she did a 10 day detox, and has been on Suboxone for three years. She's very dependent on that, now. Just seems like such a vicious cycle. Is it all for Big Pharma to make some serious profit?

And I agree, pretty shitty of her friend to do that.

honestly MTV should be responsible for these kids, they throw them into the media spotlight and then when they are done with them they are done.

MTV should pay for her rehab and therapy for the rest of her life.

Enty how did you get a hold of this? It looks like FB chat, not twatter.

This girl needs to get control of herself.

Kiefffffaah! I knows what you dids Kiefffaaah! I be seein you wif Kieffah and its bad news Jenelle, Kieffah is bad news."

Lotta her "Battle" with marijuana was one of the funniest/most painful moments to watch. Painful because this chick just set legalization back another 10 years with all her addictive, dependent, I can't quit you! talk.

EmEyeKay said...

Suboxone is a bitch, and yes, some doctors will keep you on it FOREVER. The detox from it is so hectic, and it lasts a long time.

It's not MTV's fault the girl is like this. She wanted to be on tv, so she was. Not theyir fault, not your fault, not my fault. No sympathy for her.

A girl I know has been battling heroin addiction for a few years now, and has been in a few rehab programs and on suboxone. She hadn't had much success until she went into a Dialectical Behavior Therapy program, and now seems to be doing well. She's in some kind of subsidized apartment through the program, and she has to volunteer 20 hours/week minimum and is subject to random drug testing. One fail and she's out.

I hope this girl, and anyone else reading that may be in trouble, can make the choice to seek help. You don't have to do it on your own.

yodelay said...

Wow, she's so young and that's so sad. I hope she really does get help.

That's interesting...DBT was developed for those who have Borderline Personality Disorder.
I suppose the therapy could work for addiction as well. Of course many BPD struggle with addiction.

Facebook and private are mutually exclusive.

cinephreak said...

Thats not even HER friend, thats Leah's (the "good" one) best friend, (Amy) she runs Leah's facebook and stuff too

Cassiopeia said...

I thought so...so Leah's bf was a junkie too?

auntliddy said...

Thry are already troubled when mtv picks them. I thiink its part of the attraction- the potential for drama. No body, not even mtv can force addict to get clean. Sad.

auntliddy said...

But you are right; they shouldnt exploit them.

Amber said...

@goes - Yeah, she's had a lot of psychological issues and finally had a total breakdown and took herself to a mental health facility. I suspect a lot of addiction goes hand in hand with mental health issues, because they use it to "cope" or just feel differently than they feel. Not all, obviously.

chopchop said...

I think this is a Teen Mom, right? Please tell me she doesn't have custody of her kid(s).

Cassiopeia said...

Absolutely, I used to work in MI/CD...most do have dual diagnoses. :(
Coping mechanism, self medication, impulsivity...

Cassiopeia said...

No, she doesn't. Her mom has custody of her little boy.

cinephreak said...

@goes
no idea, but I remember a while back Amy announcing her pregnancy then miscarriage. She always came off as such a sweet (although at times, had an 'im better than you' 'tude)
I admit I was totally shocked when I saw these
(they were released by James Duffy on his twitter @JamesDuffy01)

@goes - that would be a very tough line of work. A lot of sadness there.

Wow...he posted this? He's also tried selling nude photos of Jenelle.
He claims to never have had sex with anyone older than 25.
Wonder how he got ahold of this convo.

Is anything private anymore? Why isn't this bitch locked up?

Lol!!! Omg, I remember her saying that.
Ahahahaha!

Speaking from personal experience, I was diagnosed w/ BPD & I struggled w/ an almost 3yr addiction to subs. I've never rode the H train, but def abused its subsitute.

I agree that I always indulged in dangerous activities to numb how I really felt inside. I've been clean for almost 9mnths thru intense talk therapy 4x a wk, plus seeing my psychiatrist once a mnth, & support from family & friends & def willpower.

This trainwreck is just a lost cause. She doesn't care. She needs to be in court appointed rehab, or jail. She's on a downdward spiral to hell real quick.

I actually feel for her. Heroin withdrawal is no joke. About 5 years ago, I used to use it with my boyfriend at the time.. smoking it but after I finally left him he started shooting it. As far as I know he still uses to this day, and has been in and out of rehab. The withdrawal just from smoking it a few times a week was excruciating so I can't imagine what it's like withdrawing from a full-blown opiate addiction. I can't stand this girl but I wouldn't wish that hell on anyone.

Okay, I am typically quiet around here but, I live in the same town as her and I was at the same bar as she was for New Year's Eve and she was wasted. She is not trying to get better and I do think that MTV should be held responsible for her actions when they are filming illegal and dangerous activities. The truth s they have encouraged her behavior because people love to watch a train wreck and she had paid off in spades. Yes they are all a hot mess, but putting the spot light on these girls and providing them with the money to really self destruct and they are not they’ re to help pick up the pieces. She needs 90 days in rehab and theory, but they are going to keep allowing her to buy drugs and use until she OD's.

@Taraji Jones

It is terrible that the network encourages their drug use and destructive behaviours for the entertainment of others.

It reminds me of the ancient Romans, who at times used fighting prisoners in their coliseum battles as entertainment.

The drugs that are used to help withdraw off of drugs from is most often harder to withdraw from. My ex was on methadone and suboxone multiple times. The first time I felt bad, after multiple times my sympathy was non-existent. And yes I've been clean for almost 4 years, but I was the binge kind of user, not the everyday hooked kind of user. I just didn't stop until I blacked out or went on a few day binge.

Alicia said...

Suboxone is the devil. And ten times harder to kick than H.. The H w/d is more acute but the sub w/d is much longer in duration. People think subs are a life saver but all they are is " harm reduction ".. My prayers to all struggling with this affliction. I have one year clean this month after battling opiate addiction for 9 years.

I take it this is a Teen Mom? What more evidence do we need that humanity is going straight down the shitter than the Teen Mom franchise and Kimye reproducing? But to step off the soapbox for a moment, this whole exchange is deeply disturbing to me. And, as several people mentioned above, clearly not intended for the public eye. Sad.

Silkprint said...

Freaking awesome those who got clean !!!
Seriously ..I have to take pain medication and I didn't realize my body was addicted until I ran out for one day . In the bathroom and couldn't sleep with the chills so bad and that was from 1 damn day!
Wouldn't wish it on anyone ..except maybe child molesters .
Good job on kickin ..that rocks :)

I sat on a jury in October that was a child abuse murder case. The young man turned twenty-five the day before we gave him 100 years for first degree murder. The only drug he had in his system when he dealt the death blow to an 18-month old little girl? Suboxone.

Ditto for DBT being developed for BPD. It was being pumped up as the second coming of group therapy until Medicaid put some heavy restrictions on how long someone could attend group, individual therapy, ect. Since DBT is designed to be gone through ag least twice I see it fading out.

Aaand.... I just remembered I have to finish my progress notes! Thanks for jogging the memory! Lol

mybrothehero said...

If you are still in the field they recently began with a 4-course certification for Certified Addictions Counselor. It's in high demand. I plan on trying to go back.

mybrothehero said...

Good for you, Alicia. Are you working the 12 step program if I may ask?

Alicia said...

I did at first .. I don't knock meetings because they help a lot of people and helped me the first few months. My weed smoking doesn't go over well with those folks. And one thing I can not be separated from is my Mary Jane. 100% sobriety works for some. For me I can have a drink and smoke a hell of a lot of weed and I still won't pick up a Percocet of you paid me. I'm only a year in though and if 100% sobriety is what it took to keep me clean then I'd be all for it. Time will tell but so far so good.

Hooray for DBT! Thanks for mentioning it Amber . it is a powerful tool for getting your life under control in many circumstances :-)

One more thing. A friend of mine has some severe back problems and is prescribed about 125 lortab each month. When he has a bad pain month and runs out early, he gets severe back pain AND withdrawal. Now, he keeps a bottle of imodium for those times. He still hurts like hell, but he's not putting the flu on top of it.

(I forgot to mention that loperamide doesn't relieve pain, you can't take it for a headache, for example.)

I've never used street drugs, but trying to withdraw from Methadone my specialist gave me? Horrific. Why he thought that was a good idea, I'll never know.
