Blind Item #4

This A list singer got her hands on some acid that was not her normal fare a few weeks ago. As a result, she can't remember the words to about half her songs and now needs a teleprompter on stage to help remind her.

  1. I'm more surprised that it's not her normal fare.

    1. Katy in her doc film years ago admitted to using a teleprompter. Yes, I will watch a little bit of anything on tv...

  3. Didn't Rihanna just cancel her whole tour? She does need rehab and now her label will probably force her to go.

  4. I've taken acid (about 5x) and know many who indulged in their youth as well, no one has ever lost their memory like that. They may be cutting acid with different stuff now. I'm actually glad I took a few trips, I did with the intent of facing my demons, mission accomplished.

  5. darn it, so she and chrissy brown aren't having a love child after all...actually if they were...how sad is that...what happened to this beautiful girl (on the outside) to make her hate herself so much!

    1. Many young women like the challenge of taming a bad boy. In fact, I would say it is the norm for young Hollywood big stars like her.

    2. Wasn't her father abusive to her mother or was that just Chris Brown's family?

    3. Her father is abusive to her and her mom. Fist looks "normal" to Ri. It has nothing to do with taming a bad boy. She just wants to be loved. She needs some help.

    4. What you just wrote does not negate my argument.

  6. Agree with msgirl - I once had a "Acid Winter" where my guy and I would take it every weekend. I never lost my memory like that. It was a great experience. I won't do it again, but I went into it with an open mind and didn't have any bad trips.

  7. If true, this is def about RiRi.. people claimed she forgot her lyrics at her recent Vegas show

  8. This just is clearly not true. Nobody loses their memory from acid. Maybe from taking drugs and drinking all day every day, but not just from the acid.

  9. I took half a hit in college ONCE. It was great, but I never wanted to do it again, and never understood how people could take a bigger dose!

  10. I had a friend in college that got a hold of some bad acid, thought to be laced with arsenic.

He went through a complete mental breakdown, including having to be carried out of a classroom because he was freaking out.

He still is not right and his family has basically secluded him from everyone.

  11. Agreed on not losing your memory from.ONE acid trip. It's the cumulative effect of ALL the shit she's doing. Riri was my first thought.

  12. People may call me a lily-white prissy pants, but this was why I stayed away from all this shit.

I was afraid I'd be the one to go insane after a bad trip or die after only one snort.

    I have no regrets.

    1. Me too, and I've had too many friends tell me their horrible experiences.

  13. I've never even tried pot.

Bruce Springsteen uses a teleprompter for songs he wrote himself.

  15. Watched a friend freak out once at 17 from an acid trip. Never touched the stuff. Too frightening.

  16. Rihanna it's probably the effect of all the shit she does, not just a diffrent brand of acid

  17. @Ms Cool
Springsteen wrote something like 150 different songs and is known to play obscure tracks by request.
Some other singers use a prompter or even a ring binder just like some security blanket. They don't really need to look at it but it helps them overcome stage fright.

  18. I'm so glad I didn't buy tickets.

  19. Why does she bother with a TelePromTer? She lipsyncs all her songs anyway, right?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Never did drugs. Prefer to spend my money on clothes. Lol!

  21. Msgirl - Do tell! What did it help you overcome, if you don't mind sharing.

  22. is she sure it was acid? Is she sure it wasn't "Forget Me Now" ?

  23. Sue - basically I confronted the screaming negative voice in my head which I learned was my Mom's, managed to shut it down and have a great time on the acid.

However, it took therapy to really get it together.

  24. I overdosed once (not on acid) and I was a mess for almost a week. The tiniest tasks were difficult. It was hard to talk.

    *shudders*

  25. For anyone saying it's just plain impossible to lose your memory, it's not true. You've just never seen anyone take (or did it yourself) more than a couple hits. If you take more than a respectable dose, you could easily forget what the entire concept of a concert is. Especially, if she's doing it a lot and not taking time to recover, it could take a couple days to get back on track and feel like you're thinking like a human again.

  26. @MsGirl - Good for you then! :)

  27. That's so sad. Does this mean the damage is permanent.

Poor little rich and famous girl. Her life is so tough.

Daaaamn.... that's when you know it's time to slow your roll. That's not good. Take it easy Rihanna. You won't find love in a hopeless place. You're shining bright like a coke rock, not a diamond. You're seeing a rude boy, and he won't give you what you want. You're not the only girl in his world, so you'll never feel like the only one. SOS, somebody help her, it's not healthy, for her to feel that way, why is she making this so hard for herself?

  30. @msgirl - I got rid of my mother's voice in my head with hypnosis - after I told the hypnotherapist what I wanted to get from the sessions, she looked at me and said, "You may need more help than I can give you." LOL....

I told her to go ahead and do the session as I asked. I went twice, thought it was doing no good at all, a huge waste of $ and didn't go back for the third session.

Then a month or two, I was sitting at a red light, and realized I hadn't heard that voice in my head for in a while. And if I do hear it, it's really easy to get rid of. Quick fix! : )

  31. ** a month or two LATER **

I really should proofread before I send!

  32. Not buying this. People have been saying this girl is either pregnant or getting married since she got back with the violent douche. Also blogs like this one have been saying she is due to go to rehab for 2-3 years now. I am sensing in the absence of any proof blogs and gossip sites just write what they want to drive traffic. And it's clearly working. Lol.

  33. Actually, I can understand short term memory loss - just like doing to much of any drug may cause. But doing acid does not cause EXTREME long term memory loss, which is what it sounds like here. This is actually the first Enty BI that I consider is completely BS.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Maybe she is mentally ill and blaming it on "bad" drugs. Acid does not make you lose your memory. Pot maybe, acid no.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I used to love acid. I never had a bad experience, although I did have a really intense night one time and that was the beginning of the end of the love affair. L I do know of other people who had bad trips, but they were singular events only and as far as I know no one I hung out with has any permanent damage from it 20-some years later. I wouldn't trade the experience, but having said that I'd never touch it again.

  36. Maybe she took some kind of "eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" type shit where she thought she could forget Fist, but the side effect is u forget other things surrounding the area of time u were w/ the person.....yes, yes I did do copious amounts of drugs in high school. Yes, THIS is the kinda shit that pops in my brain now! LOL!!!!!!!!!! So u decide, are drugs bad????? =D

  37. Bad acid can absolutely make you lose your mind, your memory and yourself. Know it, watched it, was glad I didn't have to live it.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I didn't know people still took that stuff. The worst night of my life was when I took acid right before work. Disaster.

I had a friend who took it every day in high school and had acid flashbacks for years.

  39. I did acid a bit in HS and early college and have been a regular pot smoker for over 20 years. Never had any kind of memory loss from either. I work in an extremely demanding, highly technical job and I am regularly praised for my high quality of work. Further, both my short- and long-term memory is excellent - I can remember conversations from months and years ago and recite them back to the parties involved verbatim (very helpful in my industry ;) ). I think the effects of the kinds of drugs I mentioned can have very different effects depending on the individual. However, the substances that acid is cut with can really screw a person up. I stopped doing acid after a VERY bad trip that had cramps ripping across my stomach for hours. It felt like an Alien baby was going to rip itself out of my stomach. I would never consider taking acid these days - I can't imagine all the different substances that are used to cut acid with these days. That kind of thing scares the crap out of me.

  40. I credit LSD for the development of my impeccable Bull Shit Detector.

Fun drug, only got good visuals 2x. I always enjoyed the challenge of making it through a trip w/o melting down.
