I'm sad to say I'm sure Robin got it. The first thing my Godson said when I read this out loud, "JLaw. If she's as smart as she seems she'll go see her GP today and tell them that she needs help, now, before this continues."
It made me sad to read, but on the reverse, my little guy is smart.

This weekend she was doing reshoots for Catching Fire in Atlanta. As well as filming in Boston. I hope she's not addicted, just busy. I love her.

I agree that this is intended to be JLaw, but I'm not fully buying it. The only drug I could think of that would incapacitate someone to that extent the first time using it would be like heroin and that just seems too grim. I think this falls into the category of Enty taking a news story and making up some details to turn it into a blind.

Enty seems to have connections to JLaw, so sadly I think this is her. I really hope she makes this a one-time thing. She is so talented and has a spark/charm you rarely see in young Hollywood.
Jlaw seems like the type of person who would try anything. So if this is her, let's hope it's a one time thing.

This does sound like its supposed to be JLaw. I was hoping the reason she wasn't there was she didn't want to be around BCreep. If it's her it could be coke. She might have pulled an all nighter then bumped again to get going then realized she looked like shit.

katydid, she can't hate B Coop all that much...besides SLP, they have 2 or 3 more movies together in the pipeline. I do think he is creepy, you'd think she want to run far from that. Sadly, I think this is her. Because MTV was not informed about her absence beforehand and they were left scrambling.
I knew people would guess this is JLaw before I even opened the comments box. It's not her. JLaw isn't even in LA, she flew home to Kentucky this weekend to attend her brother Blaine's wedding. There are confirmed reports and fan pictures of her on Twitter at the Kentucky airport. She was never planned to attend the MTV Movie Awards in the first place (neither was Josh Hutcherson who also coincidentally went home to Kentucky for his mother's birthday). MTV hoped she'd make it there anyway but she never said she would and she was obviously not going to miss her brother's wedding to sit through some unwatchable awards show.

@Grey, yes, Anna Kendrick was also a no-show, in fact a bunch of people were. Bradley Cooper was the only one there from his category. Plenty of people tend to miss these awards because they're so painfully stupid to sit through. It's why they kept panning to the same people all the time, Emma Watson, Tom Hiddleston, Jamie Foxx, Chris Evans, they were probably the only ones who agreed to show up. This blind could be anyone.

Okay, so I have a long winded theory about the JLaw not showing up thing according to everything I've seen and read online, reports and such. If anyone wants to read it, let me know and I'll post it. Otherwise, I'd rather not bore anyone or disrupt the thread or the blind item guessing.
My theory is that everyone who did not show was at Coachella all weekend and was too burned out to sit through a crappy awards show on a Sunday night.

@librariantobe THANK YOU FOR THAT INFO! Almost bought it!! Though, I know it's possible to dabble with these things without getting fully sucked into them. As long as she keeps her sense of responsibility and feet firmly on the ground, she'll be fine. But I'd rather not think this is her at all!

Please tell me your theory isn't that she's heartbroken over Bradley Cooper? Some people on tumblr seem to be convinced of it and I think it's a bit nuts. IMO, it was nothing more than her only have a few days between movies and choosing to spend it with her family rather than flying all the way to LA for MTV.

I'm not buying JLaw for this one. Mostly because I'm having a hard time considering the MTv awards a very big thing.
Sorry, I had to go to work or I would've posted sooner. @Kristina, hell no, LOL. JLaw's own parents firmly refuted the Bradley Cooper dating rumors on a local Louisville tv news show. They are not dating, never have been, never will be, it's never been anything but completely wrong speculation.
Okay, so anyway, last year she won for Hunger Games. She couldn't attend because she was filming Serena in Prague so MTV arranged for her to video in because she suddenly became the It Girl. This year, according to some MTV people who chimed in on Tumblr, MTV wanted her to come attend since she couldn't last year. MTV wanted all 3 HG stars to present the trailer together, a la magical huge ratings for the show: Hutcherson, Hemsworth, and JLaw. Hemsworth isn't filming so was free to come, Hutcherson is filming a movie in Panama but apparently has a week off so he went home to Kentucky, JLaw was filming Abscam in Boston and is scheduled to start the X-Men FC sequel later this month. They thought they could get her to attend so they made all kinds of plans to have her there, saved her a seat, planned a skit with Rebel Wilson. Trouble is, JLaw's brother Blaine got married this past weekend and from the start she told them she would NOT be attending. Then some MTV people said they were trying to get her to video in from her parents' house/farm, where they run their business and where the wedding was and she absolutely refused to let the cameras come in and invade everyone's privacy and make a big circus out of her brother's big day. They asked her if she'd fly back and she refused to do that too, probably because she was in the wedding party (she was a bridesmaid for her other brother's wedding). So MTV stupidly keeps thinking she'll show somehow anyway even though she never confirmed she would and now they're pissed because she didn't come. Weirdly, there was a story on Nikki Finke's site Deadline this morning about how MTV was annoyed that she blew off the awards. No mention she didn't go because she went home to Kentucky to attend her brother's wedding, no mention that she never agreed to come in the first place, nothing. They're making her sound like she agreed to do it and just flaked, a la Lohan's many missed court appearances or something. LOL just ridiculous. I wouldn't be surprised if this bit of "news" enty got is from the same people who are pissed off that she refused to come and they missed their chance of huge award ratings and she ruined their threesome HG cast reunion at the awards and so now they're trying to make her look bad by insinuating she's a flake and possibly a druggie. But hey, I'm probably just paranoid. :) All the MTV stuff is confirmed though, as is the fact she went home to Kentucky for her brother's wedding. It's also confirmed that they were trying to get Josh Hutcherson there too (though they didn't care about him as much as JLaw being there) but he also refused to attend his mother's birthday party. But obviously this item is either false or it's not meant to be about JLaw. I did sit through the stupidity that is the awards last night though I muted most of it and from what I could tell, most of the nominees weren't even there anyway. I'd say at least 70% of the audience was seat fillers.
@Kristina, I forgot to mention, those people are just idiots who are diehard Bradley Cooper/JLaw shippers and are somehow convinced the two are having a secret relationship and apparently JLaw saw pics of Bradley with Suki Waterhouse and refused to go to the awards to teach Bradley a lesson. *eyeroll* Trust me, no one takes them or those rumors seriously. Both BCoop and JLaw have denied the dating rumors time and time again. Even JLaw's mother denied them, lol. They are not together.
I do strongly suspect she is dating someone but I'd rather not say who and add fuel to the fire and spread false rumors if I'm wrong. But I wouldn't be surprised if I turn out to be right. Sorry to sound coy but I like JLaw and I don't want to be unnecessarily gossipy, for her at least.
Btw I agree with whoever said the MTV Movie Awards are hardly a big thing anymore. Most celebs miss them and they haven't been relevant in years IMO. To me, the very big thing sounds more like something important like a movie premiere or talk show or press circuit to promote some project. Have there been any huge movies released this week?
I guess this is why you should read through all the comments. I stopped about half way down, so I missed the post from librariantobe. So sorry for the long winded post, at least it gives you a glimpse into working on those award shows.
Sorry again, I guess the post I made before the one above didn't actually post. So all of this was for nothing!
The gist of my post was that Jennifer's brother was getting married, and at NO TIME did she tell MTV that she would be there. They didn't just plan a skit with Rebel Wilson, they actually shot something a few weeks before the show. They just didn't show the skit last night. (My friend that worked on the show said it wasn't very funny, but MTV said they didn't air because of time.)
My post went into detail about the process for writing on award shows, and how MTV doesn't do things the same as all the others... like confirm that someone is going to be there before planning your whole show around them.
This whole story from MTV, which included a comment about B-Coop saying J-Law wasn't there and the crowd sounding really disappointed, well that's all a way for producers and executives to cover their ass. They could admit they fucked up or they could just make an actress look bad... even though that actress went out of her way to shoot a skit for them a few weeks back.
God I'm a bit of a blow hard aren't I? If my earlier post actually shows up then I'm going to look like I'm out of my mind. No sleep for 48 hours will do that to you, traveling around and working in this business is great, but getting a little sleep would be pretty good too.

MTV is run by a bunch of idiots now. They haven't had any credibility as a network for a long time IMO. It used to be about the music, now it's about stupid reality tv. I find it hilarious they thought JLaw and Hutcherson would blow off serious family obligations to come to some lame ass 'awards' show. But it's even more ridiculous how petty they're being by trying to make her look bad. If they wanted to do that, they should really have chosen a less popular/well liked actress than her.
Oh, I want to know who you think she's dating! I consider myself someone who follows her pretty close and I can think of anyone hat makes sense! Lol
@librariantobe To be fair, there are a lot of celebrities that wouldn't think twice about going to an award show instead of a birthday or wedding. :)
It's really part pettiness and part doing whatever they can to distract from the fact that the show was unwatchable.

But seriously, I like Jennifer Lawrence more that she didn't show to the MTV movie awards, especially if it was in favor of her brother's wedding. Sorry Mtv, but she's not like Kristen Stewart who still needs to pander to the tweener crowd due to lack of talent and fading career. Jennifer Lawrence has oscar worthy talent and also a great career to match that can move seamlessly through action, drama, and even comedy. I don't know many actresses who can do that.

@Kristina, I really shouldn't say anything yet because the last thing I'd want is to spread false rumors about an actress I actually like as a person. If I hear anything that isn't plain coincidental or circumstantial evidence, I'll let you know because right now what I have comes from sketchy anon sources on Tumblr and it could all be people trolling and stirring up shit for fun.
