I'm in my happy place
I have never watched the series. Should I go back and start with Season One?
Definitely go back and watch. It is a great show! I'm super excited!
These start two days before my birthday, too. I'm spacing these babies out. Watching one a night until the end. Dang - Maeby got cute.
mn--SERIOUSLY worth it. I usually never watch any scripted TV, but I happened to bump into AD from the first show. Hooked instantly.
The writing & whole cast are TOP-notch, and the guest stars (Charlize, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Heather Graham, etc) are so great.
@mngddess: What Libby said. The original series is SO worth watching. It's hilarious and over-the-top. There are so many gags (sight, word play, you name it) packed into each episode. Great writing, great casting, great timing - I'm actually almost jealous that you get to watch it for the first time.
Definitely start from season one and be prepared to re-watch them because I swear they get funnier as you pick up on more of the running jokes!!!
Jamie2--Even George Michael's name is a damn joke! You are so right. The humor runs thick--Buster & Lucille, Buster & Lucille2, and Buster & a Loose Seal....
Remember how it won like Best Comedy its first year, at the Emmys or GG's, and the first ones up had to goose the other AD winners to come onstage, because they were all so shocked?
Then some dipshit suit @FOX cancelled it as soon as he could.
So excited for this! And yes, start from the beginning so you'll get all the jokes that start from the very beginning and run throughout the show.
Sometimes when you have reunions, never mind many years after the show went off the air, you lose something. It's just not the same. Not in this case. All of these players are farking brilliant. I know this might sound a bit extreme, but I love these people!
And by all means, if you have Netflix or whatever means you have to watch this stuff, watch the entire series. You won't be disappointed.
