As an actor, you "sell" yourself everyday. I bet for some of them, it's not a huge leap outside of what they know. Someone like Carmen Electra was not hired because she is a good actress. She has been objectified since she arrived.

Does anyone remember that old I Love Lucy episode where they were looked down upon because Ricky was an entertainer and thus not legitimate as far as status?
