Frances Bean Cobain Was Offered The Role Of Bella In Twilight

If you believe Courtney Love, and I understand that at times, that can be a tough thing to do, she says that when Frances Bean Cobain was just 13 that she was offered the role of Bella in Twilight. The role ultimately went to Kristen Stewart. Courtney Love told Howard Stern that a producer had seen a photo of The Bean and sent Courtney the script for Frances to read and Frances described it as "sexist Mormon piece of s**t." Quite the colorful language from a 13 year old. Courtney says that Frances turned down the role because it would have ruined Frances' life. Not like Courtney couldn't do that on her own to her, you know, by killing Frances' dad and making her life a total hell.

Yes, Courtney killed Kurt. The ghostwriter here is such a genius.

I honestly think that the new enty must be a 17 year old girl who tries just a tad too hard at sensationalism

SKOR said...

I call BS. I don't like KStew, but she was already an accomplished actress when she got Twilight.
Frances Bean has zero experience -she may have been offered a role, but not Bella.

@Katie- that just made me LOL

Katie, there's no doubt to me that whomever is writing here these days is a young woman.

Does anyone believe anything Courtney Love says? This is another classic CLove 'I coulda been a contender' moment, but now she's getting older and only has her daughter to invoke for attention.

FrenchGirl said...

big LOL it's so funny (she's a drama queen)and no,she didn't kill Cobain (Cobain didn't need to help to be suicidal)

This story was reported back in 2008 Enty (or whoever the hell is writing today). Word by word.

Apparently, Frances was sent a script but didn't auction for the role. The father of one of Bean's classmates was -and still is- a Hollywood agent (Bryan Lourd). Courtney and Lourd discussed the idea but Frances wasn't interested. End.

Frances did attend the premiere alone and apparently enjoyed the film, only she knows why.

One thing to be said for Enty 2.0, at least they can (usually) write a comprehensive sentence with punctuation.

I don't believe Courtney's story. She hasn't been in contact with Frances for what, three years? Did Michael Lohan call and offer tips to stay "relevant"?

libby said...

pumpkin pie--If that's true, I guess Courtney's recycling her anecdotes, and 'new Enty' doesn't search 'his' own blog before posting CLove's latest ramblings. lol.

NomNom83 said...

It's plausible that the script was shared with her in case she wanted to audition or throw her hat in the ring. How sincerely she would have been considered is a completely different story. There's probably a kernel of truth to it, but I think it's a stretch to say the role was hers to turn down.

oh please Enty, don't try to start a flame war so early. She would have been a good option, and goodness knows we could have all done without ever meeting K Stew, but I'm glad for Bean's sake she turned it down.

@libby

I don't recall the "sexist Mormom piece of shit" in 2008. It was reported again in 2009 with no mormon quote. That's the part I doubt because Frances was a big fan of the book back in the day. Nowadays Frances despises Twilight, teenager Frances didn't.

Count Jerkula said...

All these years later, I think it is safe to say that Courtney doesn't have the brains to orchestrate a fugazi suicide.

Did she help drive him to blow his brains out? Absolutely.

Was Kurt a damaged pussy, who would have been driven to eat a 12 gauge shell by just about any woman? Absolutely.

ForSure said...

Yes, if there is something wrong with a relationship, it's always the woman isn't it? Let's diminish Kurt Cobain's own decision making, and his mental illness, by just blaming the bitch.

Holy shit.

warmislandsun said...

Courtney, you will never reconcile with your daughter if you continue to sell tabloid stories about her.

RowdyRodimus said...

By this same logic I was offered the role of Sam Witwicky since I was sent a copy of the script by the writers for helping (along with some others on the TF site)with a little background on a few of the Transformers.

The best part is I don't even have to be related to either Courtney or Kurt! Although honestly, of the two, I'd rather be related to Courtney. Never could stand Kurt and his whiney little "Oh I'm so successful and can't handle it" schtick. That's what you signed on for when you signed with a big record company you drug addled idiot!

Enty's (or whoever is writing) support of the ridiculous Courtney Killed Kurt Conspiracy really calls into question whatever cred he has for me.

The blinds have become increasingly more salacious and dark. Based on this site, everyone in Hollywood is either a closeted homosexual, has herpes/HIV, is a prostitue, and only pretends to like their children. The blinds have become less fun for me--I've read at least 2 blinds intended to be about certain people that I know are false for 100% fact--I want old Enty back!!

I remember reading about this a long time ago. I think it's possible that Frances was considered for the role - she fits the description. Whether she was actually OFFERED the role is a different story altogether. As far as the mormon quote goes, it wouldn't surprise me if she actually said something like that - this kid is extremely intelligent. She is also kind of a self absorbed rich brat (I followed her on Twitter for about 5 minutes), but you can't ignore the fact that she is really smart. And here is the thing many people forget about - so is her mother. Yes, Courtney is a wreck, but she has a very high IQ - that's a dangerous combination if you ask me. And that is all I am going to say on the subject on who killed Kurt *L*.

Count Jerkula said...

@fritters: Old Enty took the money and ran. In his place there is nothing but delusion, MANsogyny, and a craving for page views.

L'auteur said...

Thank you FS. And Count Jerkula, the only way Courtney contributed to Kurt's death was by introducing him to heroin. He couldn't break his heroin habit and it helped him with his huge stomach issues (which were never resolved). He was in constant pain, had seen doctors etc. I'm sure that led to depression and also the suicide. Source: I know a member of Kurt's family. I asked that person about the suicide and whether the family thought Courtney did it. Nope.

Enty, just stop this nonsense. You can do better. I hope.

I did some research on C-Love after I heard her interview of Howard Stern. Apparently C-Love great-grandmother Paula Fox (an author) was abandoned by her mom, C-love's mom Linda Carroll (another author) raised C-Love in a hippie commune. Unfortunately there is alot of dysfunction with women in her family for the last 3 generations. Hopefully Frances breaks that cycle of dysfunction.

I came here because I loved the blind gossip ideas and thought Enty was great. Somewhere along the line it morphed into just trash. The writing is horrible, the blinds are 'dark' and certainly questionable, and the trolling/cliques are ridiculous. So are the people who pounce on others for their thoughts, spelling, grammar and history. While I still love reading everyone's comments, the sophomoric attempt at these blinds is sad.
Young girl writing these blinds, for sure.
All that being said, what happened to the CDAN OT blog? I can't get to it anymore. :(

pumpkin pie said...

L'ateaur, it's a fact Kurt was into heroin BEFORE Courtney.
Of course his family didn't know. Sad.

Kurt's first girlfriend, Tracy Marander, is quoted in Nirvana's only official book (released when Kurt was still alive), saying she found him unconscious in the bathroom with a syringe in his arm. Krist Novoselic has always said Kurt was using before Courtney got into the picture. Only people who didn't have to deal with him on a daily basis blame Courtney. They didn't had a clue of what was going on with him.

Two months after Courtney and Kurt were dating, Nevermind was selling crazy and Kurt had access to more money than ever. He went from only being able to use once or twice-a-week, to use every single day. He was determined to take drugs, with or without a girlfriend.

Kurt killed himself---I am sure good ol Courtney didnt help matters much but that is just some stupid sexist conspiracy theory concocted by sexist little boys who cant get laid. I love the band Hole and their last album was criminally underrated---saw them in concert a couple of years ago and was one of the best shows Ive ever see. Courtney is a knob though. I chuckle out loud every time I think of Bynes tweeting to her that shes "the ugliest person I have ever seen" lmao

DontRainOnMyPrada said...

@Maja--It's funny that you should call Frances "self absorbed," because that's exactly what she accused one of those Kardashian girls of being. I find it very off putting that Frances feels the need to constantly remind everyone of her high IQ.

rajahcat said...

I think its possible she was offered the role.......

Maximus said...

"Let's demean suicide and blame the wife instead of understand that suicide is a sign of mental demons!"

Courtney&logic. It's true Courtney has a really high IQ, but she lacks rationalism. Kurt said it better "her only downfall is that she jumps into conclusions so fast".

RowdyRodimus is quite right with Kurt being a famewhore.

Question of the ages: what the hell did Kurt see in Courtney?
Easy answer: they were alike, only Courtney's never been afraid to say she wanted to be famous while Kurt had to pretend he wasn't a famewhore.

If you've never heard Nirvana's manager remembering Kurt being a hypocrite with his first cover on Rolling Stone or calling him asking why Pearl Jam was being played more than Nirvana watch this:

Maybe Frances was offered that script out of concern to get her out of that house, since living with narcissist can do incredible damage. If producers think the "Twilight" cast was a lot trouble, imagine the nightmare of ranting calls they would have received 24/7 from Courtney if Frances B. had been Bella, and trashing the movies and studio in interviews and on red carpets if "mom" showed up in need of attention.

Anna said...

But if Courtney really has been working on her issues and is doing well, then I'll give her a high five and wish her the best.

New Enty old Enty cloned Enty has always hinted that Courtney killed Kurt

K said...

This is totally untrue; I work with someone who was very, very involved with Twilight at a high level who confirmed this is entirely false.

Count Jerkula said...

Next Friday Faux Enty will be tying Cuntney Luv to the Tupac killing. He/She/It is also currently working on a YouTube Reveal for the 4th of July pointing out the crackwhore's presence in the Zapruder film.

MacAttack said...

wait, so you if you think courtney killed Kurt, you're sexist? what the fuck kind of assumption is that? Personally i think he killed himself but i'm sure the constant drug taking and volatile relationship helped.

Um did no one notice the massive facial work frances bean has had? Hello new chin! She looks good though, of course, so did Courtney til she went off deep end (by her own admission) thank god for docs who specialize in fixing bad surgery (her own admission) so she possibly able to stear her daughter in good docs hands(possibility)? I enjoy Courtney. ..shed be tough to live with but she is who she is...and smart as a whip (her own admission)! That gal has legs...shes stood through it ALL!

Francis was offered the lead just like "everyone" is interested in a Leann Rimes sitcom. Uh-huh.

@K Got any good gossip on the movie?

MacAttack said...

oh and you guys do realize that Courtney said this and not enty/fake enty?

I always wonder why all of the "it's not enty" "it's fake enty" "new female enty" "sold it to..." "one of the entys" "lies" "made up blinds" "fiction" "disgusted" people who go on rants every few months continue to show up every day to gobble up all of the fake, poorly written gossip said "fake enty" puts out there. Curious.

@Silly girl... I believe it became a private group.

feraltart said...

Silly Girl, I was a member then one day couldn't log on anymore. Another poster wrote the same thing, but it happened to them a long time after it happened to me. I asked why on this site and never got a response. That is why I was suspicious when this site was badly trolled, whether it was a little 'joke' cooked up on that forum. I also find it suspicious that a lot of people who used to comment on here no longer do so but are definitely members of the OT site. The silence on this is deafening.

Oopsy_Daisy said...

The Bean is really a lovely young woman. Glad she has her head on her shoulders and not up her own ass like her mother.

HannahBanana said...

I was certain I had read this before!!! But damn Ent what's up w/ the murder allegations?!?!? Ridiculous. Me no likey at all.

Kelly said...

@feral Yeah, it disappeared on me too. I was told it was turned to private somehow and I missed the boat. *shrugs*

Alita said...

@feraltart, if you don't mind can I ask which commenters you were referring to as those thst have dropped off commenting?

I think this may be an unpopular viewpoint (quell horreur!), but I thought a lot of the 'fake commenters' were funnier than the site had been in a while.

Chrissy Buns said...

I love Frances, and Kurt killed himself. Take it from this Aberdeen girl, dude was seriously troubled, and that was not his first try...just the first try that worked...

Zeeky_Boogy_Doog said...

Feraltart, Silly Girl - I've been wondering too about the CDAN OT page. It might have been me who asked on a different thread... my computer died and once I got the new one going, couldn't go there any more.

I do hope the whole trolling thing didn't originate there -- it was a nice place to go. It was made after the first wave of trolling started and was a place that wanted peace, so I doubt the OT is responsible.

Zeeky_Boogy_Doog said...

Courtney Love didn't cause Kurt Cobain's death! Good grief.

I have the same illness Cobain did, IBS. Sometimes the stabbity pain gets so bad you want to cut open your skin and jump out of your own body. They gave me a shot of Dilaudid in the ER to kill the pain, but it stabbed right on through anyway. Now imagine that knowing next time you eat, it's probably going to start again... every meal, for the next 50+ years.

Add that to sudden, massive fame, no time of your own, a lousy childhood, and the fact some folks believe IBS is just a fart joke. I just wish he could have been helped.

"Sexist Mormon piece of s**t!" Bless little Frances Bean - that's the truest, most concise evaluation of Twilight (books AND films) that I've ever read.

Brava.

And I think that's actually Kaley Cuoco in that photo, not FB.

No reason to believe Courtney killed Kurt. Being married to her was enough of a reason for the poor guy to take his own life.
Also, France bean may have been 13 at the time, but she was not your typical 13 year old. She was forced to mature earlier with Courtney as her mother.

Unknown said...

What do Mormons have to do with Twilight?

@Lola I have also wondered the same things. An e-mail sent directly to the blog owner voicing their concerns would be the appropriate way of handling things.
